Uganda has 56 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus disease out of which 38 have been discharged after they tested negative.

This leaves 18 that are still battling with the disease which has brought the world to its knees.

Among those that tested negative are five children from Watoto church as two of their colleagues are still being treated.

The good news comes after President Museveni's latest address in which he allowed motor bikes commonly referred to as Boda-Boda's to operate up to 5:00pm.

Motorbikes that were impounded earlier were also given amnesty. The owners can pick them provided they have the documents confirming ownership.

The last two cases of COVID in Uganda are from truck drivers from Tanzania and Kenya respectively. President Museveni in his latest address advised that truck drivers are to be tested on arrival and proceed with their journey following the standard operating procedures in place.

However, if they are found to be positive, it is then that the authorities can catch up with them. This was in response to concerns that truck drivers should be quarantined for at least 14 days, the President said this could easily cause us more problems like spreading the disease for failing to social distance.
