Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine has today been granted bail by the High Court in Gulu and according to DP's president Nobert Mao, he will soon be going to the UK for further medical examination.
The High Court in Gulu this morning granted bail to the Kyadondo East legislator Hon. Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.
Bobi together with his co-accused arrived at court in a prison bus by 8:00 am, he walked using two clutches as opposed to the one clutch on the day he was set free from the Court Martial.
He walked with a lot of difficulty. In court, he sat next to his wife as the hearing of the case progressed.
Barbie said that the only thing she heard while in court was that bail had been granted to her husband.
Asked how she felt now that it is their 7th wedding anniversary, this was her take;
"I'm taking my husband to the hospital right now, it's not been easy, I will wait for him to tell me what he wants me to do, and whatever he tells me, I will do."
Outside court, an ambulance from International Hospital Kampala was on standby ready to transport Bobi Wine to a medical facility of his choice.
Bobi Wine's sureties were his elder brother Eddie Yawe, Hon Barnabas Tinkasimire who came clad in a red overall and Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu.
Several lawyers led by Hon. Abdul Katuntu represented the #Arua34. Other lawyers were; city lawyer Caleb Alaka, Hon Asuman Basalirwa, Nicholas Opio among others.
Notable among those that attended court in Gulu this morning were none other than the former FDC leader, Dr. Kizza Besigye and the Leader of Opposition and Gulu MP Betty Aol and Democratic Party president Nobert Mao who said that Hon Zaake and Hon. Kyagulanyi were to receive further medication from the UK.
Court did not retain passports for the accused like it is normally the case, though, Kassiano Ezati Wadri, the duly elected MP for Arua Municipality is not allowed to be in Arua for at least 90 days and if he should, then he has to seek authorisation from the court.
