Happy moment as father and son embrace for the first time in two decades
Bongo star Diamond Platnumz met with his Dad publicly for the very first time in years two days back as the two were appearing live on 88.9 Wasafi FM.
"What a great moment with my Dad, the BIG Lion after so many years! Thank you so much #BLOCK89 for hosting me, it was an epic interview."
Diamond has not been on good terms with the dad over what happened when he was still a child, his father, Abdul Juma, abandoned them something that has been troubling him lately.
He is battling with some health issues with his legs to the extent that if not well managed, both legs could easily be amputated, but with the two making peace, things could only be getting better for Abdul who had resorted to doing music.
Abdul Juma is behind a song dubbed Dud La Yuyu that he did with Sungura Madini and Blod Gaza and he is rumored to be in studio again working on his second song.
While in the studio, Diamond was asked why he had not been on talking terms with his dad, The One singer said that he is now receiving the help that he requires.
Abdul Juma who could not deny that he was receiving help added that it had come late, however, he wished his son the very best and hoped that at one time he settles down with one woman.
Just like his mom, Diamond Platnumz's dad liked Wema Sepetu adding that she was so supportive, it is no wonder they were on and off and the main reason that led Zari Hassan to dump him for good, she could not stand the fact that Diamond was having an affair with her and Wema Sepetu.
The two were seen dancing to Diamond Platnumz's latest song dubbed; The One, he is such a good dancer as he at some point threatened to give his son a run for his money, it could have been even better had it not been for his legs that have been giving him nightmares lately.
Meanwhile, the meeting between Diamond Platnumz and his dad was made possible by a section of Wasafi crew members.
The fans have since applauded the move with others saying God is great, 20 years is a period too long for a rift between a father-to-son relationship.
