Bebe Cool attributed the move to the political, social and economic debate that is currently going on in the country as he explains;
"With overwhelming excitement I am so honored and humbled by the President's acceptance to attend the Golden Heart concert."
"On behalf of the music fraternity in Uganda, the positive youth and all patriotic Ugandans, I say that this is a fundamental stamp that confirms that the entertainment in Uganda is an industry worth recognizing and organizing."
"This is testimony that the government recognizes that the entertainment industry has created lots of jobs for talented Ugandans and has a lot of potential to support our economy through taxation of individuals employed by this sector."
"Secondly, this is proof that when you work with the President, he will work with you too. This is the point at which I encourage the youth of Uganda to weigh their choices carefully as they choose who to associate and work with because this is what will determine your success or failure in life."
"I would like to thank all of you who have already considered coming to the Kololo airstrip on 3rd August. Iam overwhelmed by the confirmations of attendance, which brings me to wonder if this is a reflection of your sentiments towards the ongoing political social and economic debate in the country."
Part of the proceeds from the concert will go towards open heart operation expenses that will be carried out in India for at least six children.
