Diamond Platnumz, Rayvanny and the Wasafi record label have been slapped with a heavy fine following the Mwanza song authorities have flagged as inappropriate for public consumption.
Rayvanny who featured Diamond Platnumz in the song was on Tuesday in a meeting with the BASATA officials and while there, he was asked if he could sing the song before his parents and his answer was a NO confirming that the lyrics in the song were just not right.
The singers have been slapped with a fine of Tanzanian shillings 3million (Ugx 4,875,000) each and also edit the song or do away with it.
Diamond Platnumz who is so bitter says that the ban on the song should be lifted giving the following reasons;
The song also called Nyegezi is about a bus stop in Mwanza which is promoting tourism, many would wish to visit the bus stop after listening to it.
The singer has also been advised not to perform the banned songs at his Wasafi Festival that will be held on November 24, 2018.

The singer goes on to say that when he stages a concert, he is targeting those above 18 so the Mwanza song is not in any way targeting children.
Diamond Platnumz adds that the song is targeting those outside Uganda especially the Ugandans who celebrate the annual Nyege Nyege festival.
I charge not less than 70,000 USD for my international shows and therefore bringing in not less than 21,000 USD in taxes for the government.
The Tanzanian singer has asked that the authorities allow the song to be played after the watershed period when the kids are not actively watching telly, but BASATA insists the song be edited or thrown out.
