Joseph Mayanja aka Chameleone to stand for the Kampala Mayor seat

Star singer Jose Chameleone has made it clear that he will be vying for the Kampala Mayoral seat come 2021. The Vumulia star is likely to face off with fellow singer Daniel Kazibwe aka Ragga Dee, who lost to the current mayor Erias Lukwago.

Chameleone, a father of six will be contesting as an independent  candidate claiming that he wants to represent all people irrespective of which party they subscribe to.

Asked about his thoughts on the current mayor and why he has chosen to take this direction, Chameleone said that his fans asked him to give it a shot and that the Lord Mayor needs to know that there were people occupying that office before him and they will still occupy it after him.

Many have come up to give their thoughts about this development, including Chameleone's dad who thinks that the shoes could be too big for him, but Chameleone was quick to remind him of how he never believed him when he took the bus to Kenya to start his music career.

Gospel artist Lubega George Timothy aka Exodus was pretty sure that the Chameleone he knows will not manage this task.

Geoffrey Lutaaya declined to comment on the issue up to the time when he can have discussions with Chameleone.
