Raw mangoes are tasty, mouth-watering and packed with carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, minerals, fats and yes, water. The mom of two was in Mityana as part of activities under her charity drive where she gave out an assortment of items to locals there.

However, the highlight of her visit was the sight of raw mangoes, the Nsimye singer left many wondering if she was in her early months of pregnancy as she could not hesitate jumping to grab at least one or two that she could feast on.

Keeping the fun factor aside, raw mangoes are blessed with health benefits too, which most of you might not be aware of. And just like apples, a raw mango could keep the doctor away.

1. Prevents water loss

In scorching hot weather, water loss from our body is bound to affect most of us and raw mangoes can quench body thirst and reduce water loss effectively. 

2. Cures stomach problems

Raw mango heals chronic stomach problems such as diarrhoea, indigestion, dysentery and piles. It also helps in easy digestion of foods and fruits, cleanses our intestines and relieves many of constipation.

3. Reduces weight

Are you thinking of reducing weight, raw mangoes could as well do the trick for you now that it has less sugar.

4. Promotes dental hygiene

Now that our teeth are the most vital part of our body, its funny how many tend to pay less attention. Eating green mangoes does not only prevent gum bleeding, but also stops bad breath and fights tooth decay.

Many pregnant women tend to suffer from nausea, eating raw mangoes is a therapy that has been proven to work

Mixing chopped mangoes with honey could bring a bit of relief to one faced with serious constipation.

Raw mangoes help in cutting down on the sugar levels, especially when consumed with yogurt. It is a true story that those that are diabetic need to stay away from sugar, this could play the trick.
