During a presser at Top Kat yesterday (Apr 19) Spice Diana talked about a number of issues, including her recent visit to Tanzania where she met the Wasafi CEO Diamond Platnumz... She went for a video shoot of her song with Mbosso, one of the Wasafi artists. It is important to note that Diamond Platnumz paid for all the expenses of the Spice Diana team that included her makeup artist, videographer, designer and management. |

The entire crew was in Tanzania for 8 days. On the sidelines of Spice Diana's visit, she also held a series of interviews though to her disappointment, Ugandan music is not played in TZ, at least she did not hear of any Ugandan song while she was there. Spice Diana went on to explain how she met the TZ Bongo star. |
"Diamond Platnumz sent me a text that they would be expecting me in Tanzania and on arriving there, he invited us for dinner at his posh residence, he welcomed us well, We also had a tour of his palatial home which also has an in-house studio." Regarding doing a song with Diamond Platnumz, Spice Diana said that was not top of her agenda now that many artists have done collaboration songs with several international artists, but if not promoted all efforts don't add up. "I did not go to Tanzania because I wanted a collaboration song with Diamond Platnumz and that is not what I want. I have seen artists here who have done songs with Nigerians, but you never support them, however, meeting him and getting to know how he got where he is, was enough for me." Reactions from fans after Spice Diana met with Diamond Platnumz I have done more projects with Tanzanian artists other than Mbosso and soon or later, you will get to know them. Getting close with Diamond for at least three hours, I learnt a lot. Source: Uganda Online Share
