Douglas Mayanja aka Weasel is in the news once again, not for having another child, but this time beating up his longtime house help, Baker Kaweesi aka Cyrus.
Weasel has asked his elder brother Pallaso to pray for him after what happened
Cyrus, 26, was beaten so badly by the 'Bwobayo' singer to the extent of sustaining a compound fracture on one of his legs. It is said that he used a golf bat to hit the leg.
Weasel's mother, Proscovia Mayanja, who attributes these actions to over drinking has been taking care of Cyrus and also paying the hospital bills.
"Weasel told me that I should pray for him, whatever happened, happened," Pallaso commented on the matter.
"I have seen Cyrus and Weasel for at least 8 years, it is sad that it got to that and I'm sure it is not the first time this is happening, but this time round, this was beyond, however, the two families should sit down and try to resolve the matter amicably," Chameleone said during an interview with Spark TV.
According to a source close to the Mayanja family, he wondered how Weasel could do such a thing considering that Cyrus has been one of their own even way before his singing partner, Mowzey Radio died.
The source adds that chances are Cyrus made a pass at Weasel's wife, otherwise what else could have triggered such a rage from the singer.

He concluded by saying that he knew the late Mowzey Radio was the short tempered one, but after what Weasel did, it left a lot to be desired.
What do others say after Weasel's act of beating up his Shamba boy who also doubles as Deejay to near pulp;
Weasel needs to be checked into a rehab center before it is too late..." Eddy Sendi said.
"He can't seem to take it in because Pallaso's music is doing more rounds than his, it has gotten to his head," Isma Olaxess said.
Weasel's mother has promised to sit him down and try to convince him to stop his drinking habits because the worst could have happened to Cyrus.
Weasel is yet to give his side of the story.
Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire confirms that as police, they are ready to prefer assault charges on the singer and that they would not hesitate to arrest him.
