Double Blessings for AZawi as she wins a YouTube silver button and an NFT that can be converted into good cash...
Azawi is all smiles after getting a YouTube silver button award on surpassing 100,000 subscribers. That was not all, she also becomes the first Ugandan artist to win a non-fungible token (NFT).
"Thank you YouTube and to the fans who make the views count Muli Ba Majje Nyo..."
"It's been a crazy journey, but I'm just grateful to you my fans. It is a big deal to be recognized by YouTube, it's a major milestone for me, they have elevated my career, I thank YouTube for supporting all artistes across the divide."
Azawi received two main gifts an NFT, which is a digital asset that can translate into some big monies when it gains value. The longer she stays with it, the better the value.
She is the only Ugandan artist with an NFT. The second gift was the silver button for having over 100,000 subscribers and now she embarks on the journey to the 1M subscribers.
A non-fungible token is a non-interchangeable unit of data stored on a blockchain, a form of digital ledger, that can be sold and traded. Types of NFT data units may be associated with digital files such as photos, videos, and audio.
Azawi recalled that when she joined Swangz Avenue, she had only 10K subscribers, but now, a Silver award will be part of her wall decor.
"Thank you so much for subscribing and streaming my music, I don't take that for granted I will keep on giving you more vibes." Azawi concluded.
Azawi is literally the best thing that has happened to Swangz Avenue. Her YouTube channel that was created in April 2020 has over 13 Million views with most of them gained from the 'Slow Dancing' video, her most popular video with 4 Million views in just six months.
