Akon's city to be constructed in Uganda, it will use the Aikon currency

US Rapper Akon has rolled out plans of constructing the Akon city here in Uganda. Construction of the Akon City in Senegal is underway valued at $6 Billion, it is the same project that will be replicated to area code 256. The authorities here in Uganda have revealed that the search for the 1 square mile land where the Akon City will be located has kicked off though the singer warned that it is not a walk in the park, the project can only be ready by 2036.

The Senegal one, for example, has a hospital, Akon village resort, police station, fire station, roads, lighting and residentials that include condominiums and mansions among others. It will also have a university. Being an artist, he is, you can be sure that the Akon City will have the state-of-the art recording studios and auditoriums.
Before the Akon City, the US-Senegalese singer through his Akon Lighting Africa company was into providing solar powered lighting solutions that were rolled out to at least 16 countries in Africa, in fact, opportunities in solar farming were some of the ideas he was exploring on his four day visit to Uganda.
Akon has teamed up with a number of investors though the confidentiality agreements do not allow him to reveal who they are, but out of the $6 Billion required for the Senegal based Akon City, he has secured $4 Billion already.

Once the Senegal and Uganda based Akon cities are done, they will be comparable to cities in Dubai and Singapore.
