The MAMAs 2021 postponed
POSTPONED - The organizers of the MAMAs are yet to communicate a new date
"MTV Base is postponing the 2021 MTV Africa Music Awards. We will keep fans updated as we have more news..."
It is now left to be seen which new date will be set for the awards that will be virtually held in Kampala.
The awards that will be streamed live from Kampala will have over 180 countries following the event.
Several of our local artists have been nominated though they were missing out on a bigger percentage of the social media votes due to the apps that have been blocked from the time when Uganda went for the presidential polls.
Sheebah Karungi landed herself two nominations in the categories of Best Female and Best Ugandan Act.
In the Best Ugandan Act category Sheebah is tussling it out with Bebe Cool, Daddy Andre, John Blaq, Spice Diana and Vinka.
John Blaq did not allow Sheebah Karungi to be the only one with two nods as he is also a nominee in the Breakthrough Act.
Their prayer is that a new date is announced pretty fast so that they can showcase their potential to the world.
Sheebah Karungi will be one of the performers sharing the stage with Khaligraph Jones from Kenya, Wizkid from Nigeria, Diamond Platnumz from Tz, Calema, Nasty C and Suspect 95 from Cote D Ivore.
DJ Khaled will be the official host.
