Zarina Hussein known by her stage name as Zarie is a Ugandan Musician based in South Africa where she lives with her husband and three lovely boys Pinto, Didy and Quincy. She is an entrepreneur and a business lady back in South Africa where she owns a tertiary college and cosmetics shop.

She was born 28 years back to Nasur and Halima Hassan in Jinja. She moved to Kampala in 1998 and later visited UK for two years where she did a cosmetics course. Came back to Uganda in the year 2000 before relocating to South Africa where she met Ivan Semwanga the father of her kids.

She once dated Karim Jean who was trying to date her and Juliana Kanyomozi and because she could not stand competing with Juliana, she pulled out.

On the music scene she started way back in 1998 with karaoke at DV8 and Sabrinas just like Juliana which she did for fun. Her first single dubbed ''Oli Wange" was released in 2006 and this was nominated for channel O awards in the Best East African Video category. She did not get the award but this boosted her ego.

Sunday Pepper's Angella Kateemu asked her that "You seem to have a hyper lifestyle, how do you handle motherhood? This is what she had to say: Actually I live three lives: The first and most important is being a mother to my three boys and their Dad. Iam a laid back and responsible person - for instance when I'm at home I don't allow anyone to cook not even the maid, I do the cooking myself on top of being a good cook. The second life is of a career woman  - I own Brooklyn City College and a Cosmetic shop in Pretoria. I'm hands on , I run these businesses. Then there is the artist lifestyle, I act as a diva but Im not wild. I describe my style as trendy, up market and sassy.
