There's nothing more tragic than when a fine wine sours, when a beautiful flower wilts or when the stature of an ancient Greek goddess crumbles. Kampala is not immune to this phenomenon  and with the credit crunch biting harder than ever; Kampala's girls booze brigade has lost some of its members and at the same time recruited some new members. Here are the top entrants and quitters as broken down by JB Byaruhanga.

Cindy - Despite her problems, Cindy has picked up herself and moved on. With the support of her Muzungu boyfriend; she can still afford a few bottles of beer. She thus keeps her place. Is there hope she will keep it? As long as she doesn't break up with her Muzungu boyfriend.

Suzan Naava - There's no doubt that Suzan's best days came when she was still working at East Africa Tv(EATV). She was untouchable and hot to boot.Every bar in town offered her free booze. Well although she has a rich Dad, who can still fund her drinking sprees, she is slowly loosing her high ranking position. Luckily, she keeps her place.

Bella  - The self acclaimed queen of dance-hall is unquestionably out of the brigade. The credit crunch has dealt her a heavy blow that she can barely afford a tot of Uganda Waragi her favorite brew. Chances of making it back; zero.

Karitas - After taking a sabbatical break from radio and TV, the gorgeous former Capital presenter is back. When she combines her small income from her hair garage and her TV job. Karitas can still afford a few drinks. She is safely in.

Barbara Yata - She is not going through the best of times financially but the good news is that she can still quench her large appetite for booze after combining her salary from WBS and KFM. Congratulations Barbara, you keep your place.
