Mengo Officials were released but not yet free as government is plotting fresh charges against them. Ssegona and Nambooze were charged with sedition and have been released on bail while Peter Mayiga was released on police bond. Originally the trio were to be charged with non bailable terrorism. This was after they had been taken to Western Uganda where the alleged recruits positively identified them..
