There is growing talk in State House that Vice President Gilbert Bukenya is about to be dropped and he is aware of the development. This is seen from his not being present at the 21st Anniversary NRM Celebrations on 26/Jan/06 and his not attending the NEC meeting in Munyonyo.Bukenya has held this job since 2003 after he took over from Dr.Wandira Specioza Kazibwe.Presidential advisors say he has failed to deliver on the role of Vice President and he is also not a team player. The President is under pressure to name a new Vice President who will steer the team to the realization of the Manifesto instead of Bukenya. The president recently gave substantive powers to his right hand men in politics and military and no new powers were delegated to Bukenya..
