Ever since Sanyu FM started broadcasting as the first FM station in 1992 there have been mushrooming radios all over Uganda.The latest count reveals as of May 2011, Uganda boasts of approximately 260 stations.

Kampala tops the list with 47 stations while  Mbale and Mbarara come second with 18 each.Jinja and Masaka followed with 14 each.Today,Tukyakale Magazine takes a look at the babes in the studios who take pleasure in  commanding you not to 'touch that dial'

The reasons may range from mellow voices to the way they realy their content.

Crystal - Teaming up with the late Bangi(RIP), the dynamic duo made the evening show on Sanyu FM fast- paced. Val, her current co-host compliments her well too. They make a good team together.The only dampener to her good voice  and smart presentation is that she laughs about anything; which in a way irritates some of her critics.

Bina Baby - She's a legend at Dembe FM and her mid-morning show is popular. however, her voice tempo is so "bedroomish,'something soothing for listeners between the sheets past mid-night, not 11 am when one is getting sticky in the Kampala heat.

Nvanungi Sheila - If you are looking for a female radio legend, then you can't look further than Sheila Nvanungi. She brought in a different colour at the vernacular speaking CBS FM.

The testament of how much guys love to listen to her is measured by how much they missed her during the period CBS was closed.

Cleopatra - The former Obssessions singer turned actress is also new on the radio.It's still to early to judge the impact she might make on radio but pundits believe so far not bad.

We can only hope she doesn't suffer the syndrome that caught up with the likes of Bebe Cool who quit after two months at Capital FM. She is currently on Radiocity.

Seanice - She is an old timer. During her breakfast show at Sanyu FM, She is equipped with a lot knowledge that makes her eloquent in her presentation. However, she sometimes takes arguments quite far, leaving listeners in the 'dark' and of course she is too argumentative.

Flavia - There's no question that Flavia Tumusiime is among the most talented female presenters in the country. Her judgement, selection of topics while on her AM-PM show on Capital FM is good and of course she gets a plus with her voice that is topped with good looks. She is a darling to many listeners.

Desire Luzinda - A new comer onto the radio world, the shapely singer is still grappling with the dynamics of radio presenting. Listening to her evening show with Emperor Orlando on Dembe, one needs extra attention to keep track with what she is saying.

But as a musician, she has brought on some of her fans aboard the show.

Melanie - On the Sanyu breakfast show, she exudes intelligence. She debates in a liberal manner and has away of 'shutting off' Fatboy who often assumes the role of Mr. Bully She is to argumentative at times though.

Lillian - Despite being a new  entrant into the world of radio broadcasting, the former Blu3 singer has confidence. Her mid morning show on Radiocity is well packaged and the music is fabulous. All she has to do is improve her 'r' which she tries to pronounce with an accent.

Prossy Patra - Eki Lavu Lavu is probably one of the most famous Luganda night shows.Prossy Patra has been at its helm  at Dembe FM and save for her maternity days and the reign of Bina Baby, she has done a great job.

Though the show requires a soft voice , she takes it anextra mile and  sometimes listeners struggle to get her words. Who blames the guys who call in and lay their manifestos on air?

There are plenty of things that can make one famous: scandal, talent, evil doing, doing something out f the ordinary, sleeping with someone famous, etc. But some people are famous for their good looks.

For this group of people they did not set out to be famous-at first.They were catapulted to fame because nature had already decided their fate. We profile for you celebrities who accidentally rose to fame because of their looks.

Mya - Mya might not have sung or released any song but chances are that you have been smitten by her looks. The dancer who later became part of Blu3 became famous as the 'silent' Blu3 member.

Mya joined the group shortly after Cindy was fired to help keep the group together. Aside from her gorgeous face, there was nothing else that Mya contributed to Blu3.

Zarie - Her music talent has been questioned on various occasions. But one thing this belle has aisa beautiful face and a verysupportive a***. Meet Zarie the South African based musician cum seer.

With the help of her loaded beau, Ivan, and her good looks Zarie has bookeda slot in Uganda's showbiz industry.

Desire -First and foremost is the hip blessed Desire because her booty knows no bounds. It is the 8th wonder of Kampala. Mostly I wonder how she finds bikini bottoms that cover more than half of it.

She started out as the sexy girl presenting tHe weekender' show on WBS. Desire exploited all her resources to ensure that she became a household name. Her curves and little cute face did wonders for her. People flocked her launches not because of her music but just experience those curves.

Nvanungi - Before Desire. Navnungi had the best booty in Kampala. For a while there, it was all that everyone could talk about! I wonder if she ever misses teh attention now that the throne has been handed down.

As a musician, she hasn't registered many hits. But one thing can attest to is her well endowed self. Currently she plies her trade as a radio ssenga.

Zuena - The former model cum singer with a pretty face now shakes her booty in the name  of making music(is she a singer anyway). She continues to shake it like no one else matters even when her vocal prowess is questionable.

Despite her  jealous husband, she is a pretty face to look at and most of horny fellas might not even have to listen to music.

Sheebah Karungi  - This former Obsessions dancer flaunts her obscenely sexy body with every chance that she gets. Sheebah is more famous beacuse of her butt-cleavage outfits. You are about to catch her in Club in stripper heels. People love her. She loves her body. What song has she sunbg? Few people can tell. Aaah...she has fine assets.

The reopening of Bulange-based CBS radio station has brought smiles to many people. The likes of Meddie Nsereko who had turned into a security guard while on Kyeyo in the UK are back on air smiling from ear to ear, while morning show presenter Sheila Nvanungi has also finally bounced back on to the social and dating circuit.

The unlucky in love self styled Princess was for the first time seen with a mystery dude in Nakulabye at a local happening joint having a blast. The sexy singer had a treat with her dude in the sauna after  which they headed off to a waiting blue Prado in UAP series which drove towards Bwaise.

We couldn't fully identify who this lad is but what was clear is that Nvanungi is surely back!

Uganda's princess Sheila Nvanungi kicks off the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) sex show in amazing fashion spoting a wacky hairstyle reminiscent of UK attention seeker Jodie Marsh. The show that kicked off on Sunday(March 7) has the waterlogged former CBS Radio star showing off her beauty as she tries to find a lover to dock at her station in Great Britain.

Gorgeous Nvanungi who has been linked to a series of men including Vice President Gilbert Bukenya is competing against two other princesses. They are Will Princess Aaliya of Balasinor, a town located in the Kheda district of Gujarat, India and Princess Xenia of Saxony from South Eastern Germany.

In the show, Nvanungi and her fellow princesses have gone to UK, and more specifically the hot bed of romance that is Essex, looking for love. In a bod to find their own Prince Charming they have embraced the British Dating Scene, trying speed dating, blind dates, clubbing, and even having live sex on TV hoping to find a man.

She is a princess yes but all is not going on well for her when it comes to issues related to money as her main money source CBS remains closed. As if to prove us right, Nvanungi seemed completely out of cash as she was bounced at Hotel Africana.  

During the 'Taliyo' launch the princess was bounced like any street chap. Nvanungi was fortunately saved by a chap working with MTN who paid for her entry. Sorry gal.
