IGP Unhappy with R. Kelly's short performance
The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Maj Gen. Kale Kayihura has opened the lid on concerts and said that artistes who perform below the fans expectations would now be subject to criminal charges. The evidently irked police head cited the R.Kelly show which he branded as a rip off saying that the star should be charged for obtaining money by false pretence.

''I have now taken over. No concerts without my approval and a contract must be signed by all stakeholders. How many songs and how long the singer must stay on the stage. I can't afford seeing millions of people going for a riot because of security insensitive artistes"

"I was personally there and the way the man(Kelly) fled the stage, even when people were still entering, expressed he was himself guilty. Iam provided for in the constitution to detect and prevent disorder so, from today on, any contract must have a nod from police," he said.

Now I hear someone is bringing Beyonce, please tell him to report to me before I embarass him. The general added that Ugandans are hard working people whose money should not be put to waste. Ugandans are peaceful otherwise the R. Kelly story would be different.

Zain Uganda handed over the R. Kelly autographed Range Rover to Dativa Natukunda. Dativa responded by saying: By the help of my family, I will maintain the monster car I have got from Zain Uganda and I promise not to sale it"

"For us at Zain, the I believe concert and campaign was yet another opportunity to give back to the community that we operate in, help promote Ugandan artistes while letting everyone feel what a wonderful World is truly like," Said Ceaser Mloka Zain's marketing director.

He will be in charge of gates at the R. Kelly show.

Star Concert promoter Balaam Barugahara has paid telecom giants Zain Uganda a massive USD 200,000 around Shs 360 million and will be in charge of gate collections at the R.Kelly 'I believe Concert' set for 29 January 2010.

Balaam will take the entire dime that will be collected from the show. A source added: "Balaam stands to either make a massive profit or loss from the show. If lots of people attend the concert, then he will be in things. If people don't show up, then trouble for him. But of course this R.Kelly concert is expected to be the biggest concert ever."

That aside, the R.Kelly concert is still a Zain affair. Zain Telecom paid him a mind boggling USD 800,000 to perform at the concert slated for 29.January.2010.

STARS Dr.Chameleone and Bebe Cool take early lead in the Zain 'I Believe Concert' artistes promotion and are on course to perform alongside R.Kelly. As part of preparations for the I Believe Concert, telecommunication giant,  Zain has requested fans to vote for which of their favourite artistes will perform on the 29.Jan.2010 at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

The polls are run under the watchful eye of a reputable audit firm to ensure transparency and fairness. Chameleone is leading and right behind him is BEBE followed by the Goodlyfe stars Mowzey Radio and Weasel out of the group of 12 artistes.

The best five will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to perform alongside R.Kelly. The other artistes on the list include GNL, Iryn, Peter Miles, Aziz Azion, Grace Nakimera, Toniks, Cindy and the Obsessions.
