Reports coming in are that album launch flop master Gen Mega has cut his losses short and decided to join the Ghetto President Bobi Wine led Fire Base Crew. We are told the 'Ina De Dance' singer (a song he did with the Fire Base Crew guys) did this shrewd piece of music business in an attempt to rejuvenate his dwindling music career.

However inside sources at the Ghetto headquarters based in Kamwokya have it that senior members of the crew like Banjoman and Mickie Wine have not yet welcomed the idea of Mega Dee coming into their camp.

Remember, the singer from the land of Kyabazinga has cultivated for himself a name on Uganda's local music scene with a record of the most flopped album launches. The recent one was the 'Ina De Dance' concert at Kati Kati that had less than twenty five people.

Local singer Gen Mega Dee surely needs prayers. The latest is that after his much anticipated flopped 'Ina De Dance' (everyone expected it to) launch, the singer has decided to head to his village for divine intercession.

A snoop told us, "He thought he released in a long time, yet his launch flopped again and he can't believe what kind of misfortune is following him. Mega Dee, who is considered among Uganda's established artistes, has always struggled to convince the masses with his music.

In fact statistics reveal he is only second to Mega-flop star Kid Fox. As you read this, he is just one show from taking over the throne as the 'Master Flop'. The last time, he suffered a heart attack and was admitted to hospital while his recent show at Kati Kati was attended by not more than 70 people and most of them had free tickets or were journalists.

It's because of all these issues that he has gone back to his ancestors to plead for mercy and help. Hahahah...man, we advise you to either forget about launching or do karaoke. Period!

A popular proverb goes 'Once beaten, twice shy'. Well it looks like Mega Dee is thinking hard on this. Last week he declared his intentions to launch, again, but he is rethinking this. From the look of things, he won't go through another humiliating scenario so soon, thanks to his advisers.

Mega Dee has called off his 'Er.. Ina De Dance' album launch which was set for next month after being warned he might flop again. In the month of May other artistes like Grace Nakimera and the Goodlyfe Crew are launching.

So it was foolhardy of Mega Dee to also contest in the same month after his previous album launch flopped. Mega Dee took the advise to his chin and rescheduled the launch. We hear he is set to fly in Jamaican Mr.Vegas.

Surprisingly though, the song (Ina De Dance) Mega Dee is set to launch is a collabo between him, Bobi Wine and Buchaman. Hmmmmm

The 2010 Music album launch craze is fast hitting Kampala. Just after we told of how Good Lyfe stars Moze Radio and Weasel TV are set to launch on the same date with Grace Nakimera that is 14 May, we have learnt that other artistes are following suit.

Last year's flop General Mega Dee has set the June 30 for the l;launch of his er, album. To be sure I don't know if he has any but according to reliable sources he will be launching an album he has dubbed Ina DI Dance alongside Bobi Wine, Ssizaman and Buchaman.

Now Mega Dee has been going around telling whoever cares to listen to him that he is the owner of the song and as a matter of fact that he will launch on June 30. He claims he will bring back Jamaican star Mr. Vegas. The launch will take place at KCC grounds.

Meanwhile Eagles Production singer Geoffrey Lutaaya will be in concert on 4th of June at Hotel Africana. Interestingly I hear Rachael Kiwanuka(she prefers Rachael K) and Eddy Kenzo also want to launch in June. This is a joke.

               
If you thought that New Year's eve was all about making merry, for the self styled general Mega Dee, it was all sad and blue. Apparently Mega was ripped of about 2million shillings by some yet to be identified city conman.

We hear that the 'general' who met the lad at Platinum house was told to insert the said sum in a black bag and wait for a few minutes for the money top accumulate, but the Mega whom we thought knew about Kampala's 'bafere' nearly shed tears when he checked in the bag and his dime had vanished.

Confused Dee was overheard by our snoops making frantic phone calls to a friend to save him "Muna agaibi ge Kampala gandibye! Muna ntaasa onambeyo nakasente!" Literally translated as: My friend come and help me, some thugs have robbed me.

       
Mega Dee and Faith are having issues after she went for Bebe Cool's launch and yet Mega Dee was performing at Bobi Wine's launch. The two concerts were on the same day with Bebe's at Rugby grounds and Bobi's at Hotel Africana.

Mega Dee wanted the mother of his kid to escort him to Bobi Wine's Carolina launch where he was performing but the lover opted for Mega Dee's enemy,

According to close pals: "Faith believed she had her right to attend any show she wanted. Mega Dee believes he is the man andFaith mus respect him." The pair has been at loggerheads Faith and now Faith is thinking of leaving him.

Faith works with Orange Telecom while Mega Dee is as broke as a church mouse these days. Ever since his flopped album launch early this year, he has been struggling financially. Mega Dee and Bebe Cool do not see eye to eye.

Singers General Mega Dee and Red Banton have fallen out with Mega Dee branding Red Banton "the cause of his failed show because he brings bad luck."

Red Banton has not shot back: 'I had far more people than u at my launch.' A furious Mega Dee showed Red Banton the boot last week on Monday chasing him away from his Afande Records based in Makindye.

Since then, the pair have been exchanging a tirade of missiles. We are told: ''Red Banton was signed to Afande Records and although the Record Company belongs to Mega Dee, he (Banton) knew he was a better artist. He never respected Mega Dee."
