The man from Ibanda is the big brains behind several Simba Group of companies and the first Nokia Authorized dealer in Uganda. He attended Namasagali College, in Kamuli District under headmaster Father Damien Grimes. He is an associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA), in the United Kingdom.

Patrick owns the following businesses either wholly or partly as they're listed below: Simba Telecom Uganda, Simba Telecom Kenya, Simba Telecom Tanzanaia, Simba Telecom Nigeria, Simba Electronics Limited, National Insurance Corporation, Global Trust Bank Uganda, Electromaxx Limited Uganda, the operators of Tororo Power station, a 20MW thermal power plant that uses renewable bio-diesel to generate Electricity. New Vision Group Uganda, Protea Hotel Kololo Uganda estimated at Shs 15bn, Simba Tours and Travels Uganda, Simba Distributors Ltd, Simba Properties Ltd Uganda, Simba Electronics, Simba Forex Bureau Limited, Blitz Video, Ice Cream Ltd and Dembe FM.

He owns a mansion in Kololo where he stays. He owns one of the best upcountry homes only second to Jim Muhwezi's in Bujumbura fitted with everything. In fact rumour has it that when Ibanda town blacks out due to load shedding, powerful generators fitted at his home are able  to provide light to the whole town and can be compared to a full moonshining bright.

Now the interesting one is that to prove the might of his wallet, the fella throws expensive bashes for villagers in Ibanda every 27th of December each year where the whole Ibanda in invited to feast till they can't take in anymore.

He is the first guy to bring in fireworks to Ibanda and it has become an obligation for him rather than a favour to the villagers. He is also Chairman for both Uganda Investment Authority and Presidential Investors Round Table. He owns a Toyota Land Cruiser Cygnus, Mercedes benz ML350, and loves hanging put at Emin Pasha.

Kampala like any other city has its own movers and shakers. The parameters for arriving at the who is who in the city is based on what these people do (work, businesses), how heavy their wallets are, where they hang out, where they stay, the wheels they drive and to a smaller extent their education background.

Charles Mbiire - He is arguably the richest Mukiiga to have ever lived in Uganda. Charles Mbiire is a businessman, entrepreneur and industrialist. He is reported to be the wealthiest indigenous Ugandan, with an estimated net worth in excess of USD65m as of December 2009.

            
He studied Business and Economics and graduated with a Hons degree from Essex University in England. He went on and obtained a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Leicester University, also in the United Kingdom. His Investments range from telecommunications, finance, energy, real estate and pharmaceutical. Afro Alpine Pharma Limited, Aggreko Uganda Limited, East Africa Fish Farming Limited, Eco Bank Uganda Ltd, Eskom Uganda Ltd, Invesco Uganda Ltd, MTN Communications U Ltd, Polino Holdings Ltd, Sunco Investments Limited, Rift Valley Railways, (15%). He owns 5% shares in MTN Uganda and he is also chairman for the above mentioned Telecommunication company.

He owns a multi billion mansion in Kololo estimated to be worth USD6m fitted with state of art equipment which were all imported (even the sand). To prove his worth the man from Kabale bought a Mercedes Benz 2010 before it was even put up in any showroom which reportedly cost him over shs 500m
