Economists can now relax and think of the next step to fix the crumbling economy after the man who is causing inflation in the country was positively identified - Kats. Kats, who is a German based nkuba kyeyo, blew his cover when he got excited and scattered millions of brand new notes at T-1 Club last Monday.
The show-off madness happened during the famous Campus Dance Force Night. Dressed in Black from head to toe and sandwiched between tow bodyguards. Kats first caused tension in the club when he diverted the attention of Club Rouge's Diana.
Diana, the sexy Club Rouge waitress, was in the company of another unidentified man but the way Kats ordered for drinks soon attracted her attention. Whereas Diana's man got furious and accused Kats of tempting Diana, the lady who with Kats also fumed at Diana for attempting to snatch her man.
The fiasco culminated into finger pointing and pushing war, to the attention of bouncers. At one point, Patrick Idringi was called in to cause laughter and ease tension. Though Idringi;s humour worked for some minutes, it ended as soon as he left.
In a bid to hurt Diana's man to the limits, Kats pulled out bundles of notes from his pockets and scattered them in the air causing a stampede in the Club. Revellers abandoned the dance floor and wrestled for the free flying notes.
A waitress who was swift enough in catching flying objects beamed with a smile and said "I have got my salary for the next three months," as she stacked creased notes in her bra. Interestingly, Diana's man could not resist the temptation and picked a few of the notes before he quickly dragged her out of the club to avoid further humiliation.
The little known about him, is that he is an orphan who was adopted by a German grandma who owns an orphanage in Kampala. He was then taken to Germany where he was granted citizenship and given a good job as well. He came to the limelight about two months back when he splashed money for a mega birthday bash for his girlfriend at Steak Out bar.
The next day, the shilling started falling against the dollar. Last Monday morning, the shilling as standing against the dollar at 2,560 but rose to 2,580 after Kats splashed money at T1-Club. At this rate, Bank of Uganda boss, Tumusiime Mutebile will have to call Kats for talks and plead with him to stop causing inflation.
