Charles Mbiire - He is arguably the richest Mukiiga to have ever lived in Uganda. Charles Mbiire is a businessman, entrepreneur and industrialist. He is reported to be the wealthiest indigenous Ugandan, with an estimated net worth in excess of USD65m as of December 2009.

He studied Business and Economics and graduated with a Hons degree from Essex University in England. He went on and obtained a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Leicester University, also in the United Kingdom. His Investments range from telecommunications, finance, energy, real estate and pharmaceutical. Charles Mbiire is the owner, Chairman or Member of the Board of Directors of the following Ugandan businesses:
Afro Alpine Pharma Limited, Aggreko Uganda Limited, East Africa Fish Farming Limited, Eco Bank Uganda Ltd, Eskom Uganda Ltd, Invesco Uganda Ltd, MTN Communications U Ltd, Polino Holdings Ltd, Sunco Investments Limited, Rift Valley Railways, (15%). He owns 5% shares in MTN Uganda and he is also chairman for the above mentioned Telecommunication company.
He owns a multi billion mansion in Kololo estimated to be worth USD6m fitted with state of art equipment which were all imported (even the sand). To prove his worth the man from Kabale bought a Mercedes Benz 2010 before it was even put up in any showroom which reportedly cost him over shs 500m
