Gone are the days when these cars were the talk of town, when fans would shudder at the sight of any of them nodding in agreement - yeah these are indeed showbiz cars. We have reliably been informed that our top artistes are on verge of dust binning their Escalades.

The cars have fast registered themselves on the list of Dangerous Mechanical Condition (DMCs) in Kampala. Snoops reliably intimated to us that the two - Bobi Wine and Jose Chameleone have even stopped driving these cars.

That Bobi Wine's Escalade does not change gears and has spent a long time without visiting a garage for servicing. His friend Chameleone's Escalade's doors can't close and whenever he is driving it the doors are not locked and we have been told that its seats are getting old because it rains on them.

However what is puzzling us is why these artistes who recently made a fortune from their 'Battle of Champions' concert cannot repair their cars. We wonder whether they are going to also compete in the battle of 'whose Escalade is older'.

Democratic party's new legal advisor Mukasa Mbidde wants to show the whole world that his new job should surely come with new wheels. The flamboyant Mbidde has acquired a new state of art Escalade white in colour estimated to be a staggering Shs 125M.

We are told however this hasn't gone down well with some members in DP and the opposition who have always claimed Mbidde is a mole planted to spy on them. They further claim someone could have funded hin in buying this monster wheels.

The celebrated Jamaican Dance hall artiste, Beenie Man arrives in the country today. He will move from Entebbe Airport to Kampala in Dr. Jose's Cadillac Escalade. Uganda's most successful dance hall artiste Jose Chameleone will chauffeur the Jamaican star.

Beenie Man will be performing at the Chamuka Grand Finale tomorrow at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds.

Zari-Upcoming Artist 
The leone Island boss Dr. Jose Chameleone could be planning a duet with the South African based Ugandan artiste Zarie Hussein.The pair was spotted on Saturday talking deeply in whispers before driving off in Chameleone's Escalade.

The pair hit club separately but the moment they set eyes on each other, the chemistry took took over. An eye witness noted "Zarie bumped into Chameleone and the pair were inseparable there after. They talked at length as they sipped on their drinks. They looked really happy and excited to be together. No wonder they left together in the same car!"   More of Zari

Singer Jose Chameleone's monster vehicle , a Cadillac Escalade 2004 model is in town.The car was in Busia at the border on Friday and was driven to Kampala on Saturday. This happened after the star had been involved in a car accident that involved his ML and an old Suzuki.

Chameleone joins Bobi Wine in the class of Escalades though Bobi Wine's is a model 2000. Meanwhile this makes the total number of Escalades to three with one still stuck in the bond. ''Iam leaving a dream, this is a car that every artist should drive. I respect Bobi Wine so much. He inspired me to buy this car," Chameleone said. ''I hope it will inspire upcoming artistes to work hard, " he added.

He bought the car at $40,000 before taxes and paid close to $9,000 in transportation costs and paid approximately $18,500 as taxes. This Friday the pimping accessories will be arriving aboard Emirates Cargo which were bought from the same guy Bobi Wine bought accessories from only identified as Lorenzo.

The Bayuda star who will certainly customize his escalade with either ''Bayuda'' or ''Leone'' number plate will unleash the monster on Saturday at Club Silk Reggae/Ragga Night.
