I'm back better than ever - Princess Ruth
Friday, 11 July 2014
It should be recalled that last year, she was arrested in Japan after authorities found her with illegal drugs in a parcel she was delivering to her promoter, Kim Ueno. Iryn was cleared of drug charges and now, it's business as usual but Kim Ueno is serving his jail sentence in Japan.
While in Japan, Iryn had an assistant at her disposal plus 24/7 security till her departure, something she branded as Professionalism at it's best though chopsticks made life hard for her. She spent over 20 minutes trying to learn how to use them.
"What a performance!!!Japan thank you for welcoming me warmly, for being a good audience but most especially for the great care you gave me...I hadn't felt this way in a long time. To my lovely troop of dancers, you were sublime! See you very soon, " Iryn noted at the end of the show.
Later this month, Iryn will be performing in Stockholm.

Back View N Side View
Iryn Namubiru lit it up Thursday in a tight dress that showed off her curves. The Nkuweeki singer looked stylish in the above-the-knee outfit with long sleeves. Iryn completed her look with black heels.
The singer has been keeping busy lately. A few days back, she was in Paris and took a moment off to visit Pigalle, where every s3x sin is permitted. She is now back in the country.

Today is not a happy May day for singer, Iryn Namubiru. It's on this day last year that she was arrested after authorities in Japan found her with drugs in a parcel that she was to deliver to her promoter Kim Ueno.
"May 2nd 2013 !!!! a date I would Love to forget all my life. It still feels like it was yesterday, you can not wake up and start messing up one's life like they have no purpose on earth. #May He Rot In That Jail."
From her message, it's clear she is not over this yet. She has not forgiven and not about to forget, but one thing is clear, Kim is still in custody if her statement is anything to go by. In March this year, Iryn and her reinstated Manager, Thaddeus Mubiru were in a Japan court to testify against Kim Ueno.
Iryn is part of the artists performing tonight at Radio and Weasel's Amaaso launch at Hotel Africana, we hope she is able to give it her best and on May 31, she will be on her Tebiba Bingi tour in the US.

Last week, we told of how Iryn was in a jovial mood after her manager, Thaddeus Mubiru went to Japan to pin Kim Ueno in the drug-scandal case. She is now back to music and any time soon, she will be releasing 'Oli Baluwa' written by Abbey.
If you liked 'Kabi Ki' or 'Tebiba Bingi', then, 'Oli Baluwa' is likely to be a nice one too now that it's coming from the same song writer, Abbey Mpungu of Audio One Records.
Initially, she had called it 'Baluwa' but another artist had just released a song with the same title, so she changed it to 'Oli Baluwa'.
Last month, Iryn was spotted at Fenon Records, again doing more music for her next album and while there, she landed on Eleanor, a Hostel TV series star who is pregnant with Matthew Nabwiso's second child.

Iryn Namubiru could be the happiest woman at the moment. This is after Japan authorities arrested Kim Ueno (the Japan based promoter that got her into problems last year) and just yesterday, Iryn Namubiru's Manager, Thaddeus Mubiru pinned Kim Ueno Tumwesigye at the Chiba District Court in Japan.
Among others, he showed the court all the Whatsapp conversations between him and Kim who was arrested in Uganda but later released due to lack of enough evidence.
"If Uganda never had enough evidence against him, Japan does!!. I was never at any one time called to court in Uganda about the case."
When I was arrested last year, many people said a lot of things with some claiming it was a publicity stunt! "Whether that still stands I don't know, what I can tell you is that Thaddeus Mubiru my manager has testified against Kim Tumwesigye Ueno."
Chiba District Court in Japan is yet to pass it's verdict on Kim Tumwesigye.

As the year that appears to have been difficult for Iryn Namubiru draws to a close, The singer has turned 32 today the Friday, Dec 13, 2013. She started off by singing the birthday song to herself before others joined her with congratulatory birthday tweets.
The 'Nkuweeki' singer has every reason to celebrate after going through a series of set backs.
First, it was the brutal attack by her ex-hubby last November, then in May this year, she went to Dubai for a show that turned out to be a nightmare when authorities there arrested her on suspicion of drugs. The singer was held for 20 days in Japan, but, she was later cleared.
Iryn lost her Dad shortly after returning from Japan. She then travelled to France to check on her kids who had equally missed her love while she was held up in Japan. The 'Begombeko' star had to return to Kampala ahead of her 'Tebiba Bingi' album launch whose attendance was kind of affected following the Nakumatt Westgate Attack in Nairobi.
But a day before the album launch, as Iryn was engaged in a series of meetings with different organisers to ensure that her launch was a success, URA officials stormed the meeting venue and demanded that she pays up on her tax obligations for the 2011 'Birowoozo' concert, which money she did not have at the time, they ended up impounding her Land Cruiser Cygnus. It was later released when she made good.
It was a bit too much for Iryn because matters were even made worse when her Begombeko song got plagiarized by a top Madagascar artiste to come up with her version of 'Walawala'.
In all this, NTV news anchor, Gabriel Epenu, her latest boy friend was there for her through thick and thin but just three weeks back, he was involved in a serious accident that left him critically injured. Regarding his condition, Iryn says: "He's getting better and we continue to pray for him everyday."
Iryn has dedicated this day to loved ones' gone too soon and the sick.
Monday, 04 November 2013
A source at the Makindye court noted that; "They were not ready to proceed with the case after police had failed to find more evidence pinning him, leaving them with no choice but to set him free."
At the time of his arrest, police spokesperson, Ibin Sekumbi noted that they had two options before them, either to hand him to the Japanese police or to charge him within our courts, they chose the latter and for now, the rest is history.
Fresh from the Head2Head Independence UK show, Iryn is yet to comment on this development. Iryn came back to Kampala on Oct 30 and since then, she has been working on clearing her black Cygnus that was impounded by Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) on the eve of her 'Tebiba Bingi' concert at Hotel Africana.
Here is a tweet from URA confirming the release of Iryn's ride: "Irene Namubiru clears her
Sunday, 06 October 2013
The VIP section was full though half of the concert area remained empty till the end of the show. The lighting, stage, security were all top notch. The 'Birowoozo' singer shared the stage with Khalifa Aganaga, Dr. Hilderman, Liane and Rema who knelt to thank the fans for having turned up for Iryn's show, but also requested them not to forget her Kukaliba Concert slated for Oct 18, 2013.
Iryn got on stage at about 10:30pm to do several of her hits ranging from 'Begombeko', 'Yono', 'Lwaki' and 'Bona Obasinga' among others, mimed Makoma's 'Butu Na Moyi' claiming It's her source of inspiration. Yesterday, she was at Mukono Satellite Beach and today, all roads will lead to Water Front Beach in Entebbe.
However, some music pundits are looking at it from a different perspective. Some say, they are quite many functions at the same time. For example, on the same day (Oct 4) , American RnB singer, Keith Sweat was at Kampala Serena Hotel performing at the Nile Gold Jazz Safari. This can equally have an impact on the numbers.
"The lonely nights are over!" Iryn tweeted after the Mukono show. Whatever that statement meant, it left a lot to be desired.
Monday, 26 August 2013
The 'Anyereketa' singer Iryn Namubiru is done with the shooting of her latest 'Kabiki' video. However, her choice of plus-size models left a lot to be desired. In her own words, she says: "It will be good for the eyes." This will be one of the tracks to look out for during the 'Tebiba Bingi' Concert slated for 4,5 and 6 Oct, 2013.
Iryn and Juliana are ranked as the best female musicians in Uganda and they are doing everything in their means to remain as such; a move that artistes like Grey Naava, a Tusker Project Fame 2 contestant continues to resist.
Ex-Gagamel singer, Rema Namakula is one artiste getting a run for her money as she tries to establish herself in the top line-up of female artistes. Rema's first show is slated for Oct 18, 2013 but she has since changed the location from Club Obligatto to Hotel Equatorial Parking, could this move be prompted by Juliana choosing the same date, only time will tell.
The same pressure has trickled down to fast-rising upcoming artiste, Irene Ntale who has opted to playing the game differently. Irene is very close to her namesake, Iryn Namubiru and out of this relationship, 'Monster Vocals' is what their fans will be subjected to.
Irene Ntale was complementing Iryn on her 'Tebiba Bingi' hit and this was Iryn's reply: "Thank you so much sweetie. And you know how much I adore yours. I meant it when I said let's marry Iryn with Irene=Monster Vocals."

News just in indicates that singer Iryn Namubiru has lost her dad. Mr. Mubiru Fredrick sadly passed away this morning in Mityana. This is very sad bearing in mind that Iryn has for the last one month been battling with the Japan drug case. Just yesterday, the songbird had just met Kim Ueno for the first time since her arrest in Japan last month.
According to Iryn's former manager and brother, Thadeus Mubiru, their dad has been battling ailments for quite sometime. He will be buried tomorrow at 4PM.
Wednesday, 12 June 2013
"Kim you know very well about this incident, it's ruining my life, everybody is saying I'm lying. First they said I was a drug trafficker and now they say I'm pulling public stunts.
You knew very well I was arrested and detained and you didn't come out to tell anybody, he left me in trouble there, I found that so selfish, Please, at least acknowledge that you asked for the suitcase and you asked my manager to carry the suitcase which had the drugs and I will be cleared."
"There are cases regarding movement of drugs in which Kim is a prime suspect. We have two options to consider, one of them is charging him within our courts here, the second option will be handing him over to the Japan police, " police spokesman Iddi Ibin Sekumbi explained.
Tuesday, 11 June 2013
Kim Ueno is the Japan based promoter who had invited Iryn Namubiru for a show in Japan and left shortly after for Uganda on learning that the songbird had been detained at Narita airport.
Iryn has always maintained that it was Kim who was responsible for the illicit drugs and that she had nothing to do with them. Thadeus Mubiru has since been fired and replaced with Balaam after whatsapp messages revealed that he was working hand in hand with Kim.
Kim was equally a wanted man in Japan based on the statements the 'Tebiba Bingi' singer made on being arrested. Details of when and where Kim was arrested are still scanty but will be availed as soon as we land on any info.
Thursday, 06 June 2013
"Pending police investigations, I found it necessary to step aside as Iryn's manager." Iryn was cleared of drug charges after spending 21 days in Japan and on return at Entebbe International Airport, Thaddeus and Iryn's mum were among the people who received her.
Days later, it turned out that her manager hand a hand in this whole saga leading to his being fired. Thaddeus issued an apology to the songstress. Iryn has now gone ahead and replaced him with Balaam Barugahara, the CEO of Balaam Marketing who will assume his new role four days from now.
Balaam who happens to be Iryn's promoter in Uganda was also very instrumental at the time when she was detained in Japan. The authorities in Japan got Iryn a lawer but Balaam and the Fusion Band Boss, Kasami wentan extra mile to hire a private lawyer for the 'Tebiba Bingi' singer.
That was not all, Balaam also went ahead to organise the special service at All Saints Cathedral that was held on May 22 together with KFM's Roger Mugisha. It's therefore not surprising to see that Balaam is now the new manager for Iryn Namubiru.
Wednesday, 05 June 2013
"I Thadeus Mubiru, Manager to Iryn Namubiru, would like to apologise firstly to you Iryn, family, friends, fans and all people that stood with her during her detention at Chiba Perfectural Police in Japan for the prejudice and troubles I caused to her when I knowingly refused to reveal the vital information that could enable her early release."
Last Sunday, while at All Saints Cathedral, Iryn revealed how Thaddeus received $500 from the Japan based promoter, Kim Ueno who was behind the Japan show that never was after Iryn was arrested with drugs stuffed in one of her bags. Once that came to the lime light, Thaddeus was left with no choice but apologise.
Looks like Iryn is willing to forgive and forget as she has gone ahead to delete messages she had written about her manager earlier.
In his apology, Thaddeus also revealed why he behaved the way he did: "I learnt that Kim Tumwesigye had jetted in Uganda immediately after Iryn's detention, I feared so much for my life and became so selfish to that extent."
Monday, 03 June 2013
Iryn and her manager Thaddeus in the company of her Ugandan promoter, Balaam Barugahara later held a brief meeting in which Iryn asked for all the communication from Kim that was exchanged prior to her travelling to Japan, but Thaddeus maintained that the only communication they had was on phone.
As the meeting and questioning ensued, Thaddeus was forced to surrender all the What's App messages that were exchanged between Kim and him. In the messages, it was clear that Thaddeus had some useful information that could be forwarded to the Japan authorities, but he did not fearing reprisal from Kim Ueno.
It was at that point in the meeting that Iryn told his manager to keep out of her business. She later tweeted thus: "My Manager could have sacrificed my life for just $500 got from Kim Tumwesigye. He had all the info about the drugs but he lied. God."
She added: "Trust nobody. Thaddeus Mubiru was ready to see me rot or die in jail just because he feared Kim would kill him if he gave info!! Unbelievable."
Iryn has been combing various media houses to explain her story to all and sundry.
Tuesday, 28 May 2013
Iryn has for the last three weeks been detained in Japan on drug smuggling charges but was set free after 21 days. It's unlikely that Iryn can go back to Japan in the next five years following what happened. Boda Boda riders along Entebbe road and other parts of Kampala joined the convoy doing all sorts of bike stunts.
The convoy went straight to Hotel Africana though while there, she declined to talk about what happened during the 21 days in Japan. The 'Tebiba Bingi' singer later referred some people to check her wall for the official communication.
In part of the message, she says: "I was never indicted so there was no possible trial and therefore, I never stood before the judge!! In fact there was all evidence that I was innocent." But all this was not convincing to some people forcing her to denounce her earlier plans of not talking about it. Several versions had started cropping up.
Announcing the news of Iryn's being on WBS tomorrow at 9am was none other than Straka's ex, Charles Oyimuke. In the message off his wall, he says: "Iryn Namubiru addresses the Nation live about her alleged drug charges tomorrow, Wednesday 29.May.2013 on Morning Flavor Entertainment starting 9:00am."
Friday, 24 May 2013
Diva Iryn Namubiru has been cleared of drug smuggling charges after 21 days of being detained in Japan. "I am out, free, innocent, clean, no criminal record. I will tell you all as soon as I get home on MONDAY, God bless you all." Iryn commented on her wall.
Iryn was arrested early in the month when she went to Japan for a show but on arrival at Narita airport, her luggage was discovered to be having illegal drugs that were given to her by Kim Ueno's relatives in Kampala. Iryn thanked all her fans, friends and family for their prayers.
"Only the truth, prayers and your love could set me free. Iam out innocent and clean, Thank you all." The prayers at All Saints on Wednesday worked after all, the diva is free and ready to rock Kampala like never before. Fans continue to thank her promoter, Balaam Barugahara, and her boss Capt John Kassami of Fusion band Entebbe that were able to meet the costs of the lawyer.
Fans are now planning on a massive welcome for her on Monday. She has also just learnt of Martin Angume's passing and passed on her sincere gratitude to the beareved family.
Wednesday, 22 May 2013
Bobi Wine, Juliana Kanyomozi, Pastor Wilson Bugembe, Sylver Kyagulanyi who spoke on behalf of the artistes and Dr. Hilderman were present. Others included NTV's Gilbert Epenu and Dembe FM's Bina Baby. During the service, Roger Mugisha thanked all those who had taken off time during office hours to come for prayers.
Iryn's mother was all calm and equally thanked all the artistes and the entire music fraternity for being their for Iryn. Thaddeus narrated the whole story of how he got the pack from a one Alex Muyomba to Iryn a few hours to her check in time. Its then that one thing led to another and eventually her being arrested and being locked up at Chiba Prefectural Police station.
The last one to speak was none other than 'Sabavulu' Balaam who was clad in his orange T-shirt. He started off by saying that a lot has been said here and there but one thing is for sure, no one has given us money apart from Iryn Namubiru's boss, Capt. John Kassami who owns Water Front Beach in Entebbe and Fusion Band.
The rest of the stories were just wolox. Balaam also affirmed to the fact that there was no fundraising of any sort regarding Iryn and should it be there, they will be notified accordingly. Meanwhile, Rev. Diana Nkesiga revealed her love for the artiste who sung Letter O saying that artistes should be very careful with the messages in their songs, how they dress let alone how they walk because they command a huge following.
Tuesday, 14 May 2013
1. She was found with drugs at Narita Airport in Japan after she had traveled for a music show in Tokyo.
2. Iryn was arrested on May 03, 2013 after she was found with illicit drugs on arrival and she has since been shifted from Narita police station to Chiba Prefecture near Tokyo.
3. She will know her fate on May 25, 2013 as to whether to be charged or deported. The good news is, she could be deported or told not to go back to Japan for a period of up to 5 years or less being a first time offender.
4. Iryn's promoter who was to receive her in Tokyo flew to Uganda on learning that she had been detained, but he says, this particular travel had long been planned. Questions are now being raised, why send for foodstuffs from Uganda when you knew that you were traveling to Uganda that soon!
5. Iryn's manager (Thadeus), and the Japanese promoter (Kim Euno) are all claiming not to know about the illicit drugs, but even if they knew, would they admit.
6. Iryn has two lawyers, One that was given to her by the Japanese authorities and another, Yuko Matsumoto who has been hired by her Ugandan promoter, Balaam Barugahare at Shs52m.
7. "She will come out because she is innocent; she did not know she was carrying illegal drugs," Iryn's Japanese lawyer, Matsumoto said and appealed to her fans, friends and family to be patient.
8. According to Matsumoto in a message she sent to Thadeus and Barugahara, she says that Iryn is very tired and weak but the lawyer adds that she will be fine.
9. Hakim Tumwesigye aka Kim Ueno is required to testify and explain how he got the bag containing illicit drugs.
10. The 'Save Iryn Project' has been opened to get advice, share information and raise funds from well wishers.
Monday, 13 May 2013
The Japan based promoter, Kim Ueno who is currently in Uganda has also given his side of the story on the Iryn drug-saga. Kim says that he is not aware of any drugs that Iryn was arrested with, instead, he is considering suing Iryn and her manager, Thaddeus for the losses he made in the project. Kim estimates his loss at about shs64m.
Tumwesigye aka Kim Ueno says that he has never spoken to Iryn. All along, he has been communicating with her manager, Thaddeus.
"I just sent someone who gave 4kgs of Maganjo posho and groundnuts to Namubiru and when Mubiru called me to ask what was in the bag, I simply told him that if he was suspicious; he should remain with the luggage and buy the stuff from somewhere else and give them to Iryn," said Tumwesigye.
Just yesterday, Iryn's manager spoke out blaming Kim Ueno's relative who gave him a parcel at the time when Iryn was dashing to the airport for her scheduled flight to Japan. She literally had no time to look through the bags given the timing and Entebbe road traffic.
Regarding his travel to Kampala, Kim noted that his Kampala trip had already been scheduled for May 07 and he has emails and communications with Emirates to prove that. Kim added that, since Tuesday, he has been trying to get in touch with Thaddeus but to no avail.
Meanwhile, Thaddeus who is scheduled to travel to Japan next week to be a witness in this case is under instructions from Interpol and police not to comment on the matter.
This is so unfortunate, because innocent as Iryn may look, she was found with drugs and it's not clear how she will avoid the long arm of the law. One British national, Nicholas Baker was arrested at Narita airport with illicit drugs, court proceedings took one year and was later sentenced to 14 years, a shs120m fine was given and forced labour. Iryn still needs your prayers.
Sunday, 12 May 2013
Following Iryn Namubiru's arrest nine days back in Japan for trying to smuggle drugs into the country, her manager, Thaddeus Mubiru has broken his silence. The manager is of the view that this whole thing is a set up.
One Alex Muyomba informed Thaddeus a few days back that Kim Ueno wanted some food from Uganda but the bag containing the food was only delivered at about 11:00am at his home in Rubaga. Thaddeus rushed with the bag to catch up with Iryn whom she found at Najjanakumbi at about 12:00pm driving through traffic to the airport for her 2:00pm flight to Japan.
Alex Muyomba who is a relative to Kim Ueno signed Namubiru's contract on behalf of Hakim Tumwesigye aka Kim Ueno. However, what shocked Thadeus was the issue of Kim not picking his calls or returning messages after it had turned out that Iryn had been arrested.
Iryn was arrested on May 03 but by May 06, Kim who was supposed to receive Iryn for her performance in Japan was already in Kampala. The next thing Thaddeus received was a text message from a third party that Kim wanted to talk to him. Friends and well wishers here have hired a private lawyer for her who has been in touch with her at Chiba Preferectural Police in Otusu Pronvince.
Iryn will know her fate on May 25, which is exactly 14 days from now as to whether she is to be set free or charged. Interpol Uganda and Interpol Japan are working hand in hand to see how best they can handle the case. Interpol Uganda's role is limited in terms of securing her release because Iryn is arrested for a crime they are supposed to be fighting.
Meanwhile, Hakim Tumwesigye aka Kim Ueno who is in Uganda will be giving his side of the story on Monday.

Its been a week now when NTV news anchor Gabriel Epenu put his twitter tools down protesting the arrest of his better half, Iryn Namubiru. Gabriel could on average have as many as 8-10 tweets per day tweeting about issues at hand in the political circles and other trending topics but since May 02, his account has been inactive.
But today at exactly 3:28pm he managed to respond to Charles Onyango Obbo's interesting observation in which he notes that in Kampala alone, there are a record 130 sports betting shops, Gabriel added that: "Still counting" bringing the once active account back to life. His followers have been missing out on his tweets. The tweet for 'Mahogany's presidential bid come 2016 could have been a good one.
Iryn's last tweet to Gabriel was on Apr 26, and it was a romantic one. In the tweet, Iryn asked Gabriel to play some song as a way of cherishing their love. "ONLY YOU" put it on replay!!! Burn your ear, bruise your feet!!!, Iryn tweeted.
Gabriel responded that: "And it's a beautiful song...played it over n over on those JVCs :-) Thank you dear." "Only You (And You Alone)" (often shortened to "Only You") is a pop song by the Platters.
When Iryn got issues with her hubby following various compromising shots with 'Mahogany' that were all over tabloids, their affair with Franck Morell became shaky to the point of breaking. The epitome of it was when he beat her badly at a train station in Paris.
This is when she decided to come back to Uganda and has since been close to NTV's Gabriel Epenu whose actions are understandable bearing what befell the 'Tebiba Bingi' star last week in Japan. In all this, Gilbert's estranged wife, Safia Kodet with whom he has a child is having the last laugh.

All sources seem to indicate that she was contacted by Kim Ueno, a Ugandan promoter based in Japan who also asked her to come with a parcel that had posho and powdered matooke.
On arrival at the Japan Airport Terminal, the authorities had to check her luggage like they do to any traveller but the posho and matooke found in her luggage turned out to be suspected white powder leading to her arrest. Twaibu Sekamatte, the Chairman of the Ugandan Community in Japan also confirmed the arrest.
Iryn's having a French passport made matters worse for the Ugandans in Japan who tried to establish why the 'Anyereketa' singer had taken long at the airport. She's travelling on a French passport, so as Ugandans, there is little you can do about her problems
"It's unfortunate that a package was given to her as she was heading to the airport with claims that it was posho, more so from a trusted source, so she did not suspect anything could be wrong," noted one of the relatives.
Four days later, Iryn's manager, Thadeus Mubiru has not come out with a statement on the fate of the songstress. Iryn is still in custody in touch with customs officials and Japan police. The French Embassy in Japan is yet to communicate on the developments.
Iryn has been having a series of cases in the French courts with her ex-hubby, Franck Morell, but should this turn out to be true that the Ugandan singer was arrested in Japan on possession of drugs, she could lose the child custody litigation and her French citizenship revoked.
Meanwhile, all that has nothing to do with the way Japan handles cases of stimulants smuggling, it could earn her a jail term of about 10 years or death.

Speaking to one local daily, Iryn ruled out reuniting with her ex and actually said that she has been studying one mystery man during the turbulent times. This comes at the time when Franck had secured a job with the French Embassy in Uganda that could allow him monitor her movements at night, but with the recent developments, its not clear if he will settle for the job.
The 'Nabulo' singer was last seen during the MTN Marathon doing 10kms and at the end of it all, her timing was 1:53:19, which was not bad after an unpleasant scene at a train station in Paris a few weeks back.
Iryn in her own voice is heard over local FM stations drumming up support for a show that will see two top bands, Fusion and Afrigo band performing. The show that will be held on December 16, 2012 is sponsored by Water Front Beach Entebbe. The 'By Far' singer, Bobi Wine is the guest artist.
Tonight, Iryn will be at Theatre La Bonita performing alongside the Crackers. Meanwhile, she was seen walking with difficulty after coming out of her Land Cruiser Cygnus. The limping must have been caused by the 10kms race she did in the recently concluded MTN Marathon.

Diva Iryn Namubiru still can't believe that the man who fell in love with her after hearing her sing in an open-mic bar way back in 1998 and the father to her two sons Eko and Al just grabbed her by the neck a week back.
Iryn who sustained a deep wound on her neck as though it was a scratch from a stray cat plus other swellings on her cheek and lower ear said that: "Just two fingers in the throat can kill."
The couple broke up over four years back and have since then been fighting over their children's custody. It has since been established that its Frank who has the custody of the kids and Iryn is supposed to check on them at certain intervals.
This particular fight was sparked by the fact that Iryn went with the kids on holiday without informing her ex husband so when they came back, Iryn was informing him of their coming back so he could take the kids with him but instead descended on her and thumped her to near death while at a train station in Paris.
The 'Begombeko' star has now been discharged and recuperating from the wounds but most importantly the shock. Iryn has also filed a case of violence in Paris over the latest beating and she says:
"All victims of physical and psychological violence, stand out and speak out, don't worry about people's opinions and mockery, there's time enough to establish the truth. Just protect yourselves and children if you have any."

Commenting from Paris, Iryn wrote on her wall: "No no no noooooooo to domestic violence. Most especially by someone whose life you haven't been sharing for over 4 years. No to death threats. No to domestic violence. One can die in less than a minute."
Apparently, Iryn and hubby separated over four years back but she has tried to keep it a top secret until last Sunday when she nearly met her creator at Gare Du Nord Train Station.
Their case is before Court that is yet to decide on who takes custody of the kids who are currently with the 'Nabulo' singer. Iryn had travelled to Holland for a short holiday with the kids but her ex Frank Morel hadn't known of the trip, instead he thought that Iryn had taken off with the kids and that's why he reacted that way.
In September, Iryn filled two cases of domestic violence against her husband. The first one was on Sept 12 and less than two weeks later, Iryn dashed to report another case.
Morel wants Iryn to be with him and the kids in France but Iryn has her music career that she equally loves and would now rather dump him for good with the beating that has been upgraded to neck squeezing.
Meanwhile, Zari sends out her love to Iryn during the hard times..talk of birds of the same feathers flocking together. Zari has just had her share of a beating and she could be the best person to advise Iryn as of now.

Top musician and PAM Awards artiste of the year 2011 Iryn Namubiru Morel is nursing serious injuries in a hospital in France after her ex hubby attacked her at a train station in the presence of her kids Al and Eko as they came from Holland.
According to her manager, Thadeus Mubiru he says that: "Songbird Iryn Namubiru has been brutally attacked by her ex-husband Frank Morel at Gare Du Nord Train Station in Paris as she came from a holiday in Holland."
Thadeus went on to confirm that Iryn is admitted in a hospital nursing serious injuries as Frank Morel is in police custody helping with investigations. Iryn has filed cases of violence, assault and death threats to the France authorities.
Meanwhile, the security team at Gare Du Nord Station were quick at stopping Morel from causing more harm to the 'Nkuweeki' star. A rift had appeared in their relationship when she made headlines over the way she was photographed with a certain VIP.
Iryn has been clashing with the Tusker Project Fame former contestant Maureen Kabasita after the latter was demoted and Iryn promoted as the manager of the Entebbe based Water front beach, Fusion Band. This did not go down well with Maureen now that she was so close to Kassami, the Fusion band owner.
This is happening at the time when South African socialites Zari and Ivan are having issues after Zari putting up with a lot of battering from the husband.

Music Star has issues with papparazi who take Upskirt Shots.
City Diva Jackie Chandiru is still the talk of the town in Arua after her performance that marked the end of a five day football league in Arua Hill Boma Grounds.
Three months back, the ''Gold Digger' star was in Arua-(Hill View Gardens) at an event that was organised by Sky Events and Uganda Breweries Ltd clad in a gold short outfit that revealed her black undie.
Jackie's fans who graced the previous show made it a point not to miss this one and indeed, Jackie did not disappoint. Clad in a black pantyhose and short dress, the 'Gold Digger' star did most of her tracks.
However, one thing that kept on puzzling her was how the papparazi's were concentrating on her upskirt shots. "I still wonder till date why someone would deliberately place a camera under your skirt to take a pic!! Its like 1990!! I guess that's why we gonna keep in stone age...well, my peeps say its the pervz...i say, aint nobody dumb enuff not to wear shorts,y has madonna, rih rih, bey bey, tulisa, gaga...had pple do that to em...lemme think, maybe am"
The singer added that she once stopped a show after a fan touched her and yet she was in jeans.

Children of this generation are not gettingnames like it was back then. Below we take you through the names some od our stars have given their children.
Bebe Cool - Zuena welcomed a bouncing baby boy three days back who happens to be their third child with Bebe Cool. These ones have decided to go about it the alphabet way. Alpha is the first born followed by their only girl Beata and now another boy Caysan.
Jose Chameleone - Exactly three months back Daniella gave birth to their third child who they named Alba Shyne Mayanja. Their first born is Abba Marcus Mayanja. Now looks like this one has gone for names starting with 'A'
Bobi Wine - Now the Omubanda wa Kabaka's is out of the box. He named his kids after cities. His first born is Kampala, and the second one is Nairobi. Their latest was given the Shilling name may after running out of cities that they could embrace.
Juliana Kanyomozi - For the lady musicians it has been nice and polite. Juliana's son with her ex is called Keron Lukwago.
Cindy - The former Blu3 member had 3 items on her agenda last year and one was to give birth, launch an album and have Mario put a ring on her finger. She achieved the first two and now fingers crossed for the wedding. Cindy named her first born Amani. Just next door in Kenya, we have a Kenyan artiste who goes by that name and when she hits stage, all the front row guests are treated to a 'VIP' show of sorts.
Lillian - The former Blu3 member has a child with Goodlyfe member Moze Radio and was given Asanti as the name which is a Swahili word meaning Thank You.

If this had come at a different time, we could say otherwise but not when Juliana and Song Writer Nince Henry are not seeing eye to eye over a song and have even failed to sit on the same table to address the matter.
Initially it was Zari Vs Iryn on the Begombeko track (Zari Attacks Song Writer Nince Henry) but appearing on Dembe FM on Saturday, Nince Henry said that the 'Begombeko' track was not for Zari but this wasn't the issue to cause him sleepless nights, the one of Juliana was a serious problem to him and his career.
He categorically stated that Juliana did not steal any song but at the same time expressed shock on how the song came to be played yet the two parties had agreed that Juliana's version of 'Sikyakaba' should not be played.
As all this is going on, the 2011 PAM Awards artiste of the year, Iryn Namubiru wrote this on her wall: "Negativity, Negativity, Negativity I do not know if this is just Ugandan but it is annoying how it is believed that one's success leads to another's demise (and beef musically).
Everyone has their chance to shine and for different reasons everyone has lows in their careers, even the greatest"
Uganda music pundits now say those lines were aimed at Juliana.

"Thank you all for believing in me and listening to my music. Angella I Love you so much and I dedicate this award to the girls" She also thanked Bebe Cool for predicting her the Artiste of the Year.
Iryn Namubiru who was clad in a short white dress and this time round thanked the photographers too was the Best Female Artiste and her Biroowozo took the Album of the year together with Best R&B single giving her a total of four awards.
Earlier on one of the MC's Junior Kazora(JK) who was working hand in hand with Straka and Roger Mugisha asked Bebe Cool who he thought would take the Artiste of the year and Bebe said that if it's not him then it will be Iryn to take the day clearly putting Angella and formerly Gadaffi now Chameleone out of the race.
The event which was sponsored by Channel O and Pepsi among others was broadcasted live on UBC. The UOWD poll that was running under the two categories of Artiste of the Year and Song of the Year was spot on with Katikitiki taking the day as Bebe Cool lost to Iryn for Artiste of the Year.
Moze Radio, Weasel TV and Jose Chameleone among others were not available to pick their awards. Bebe Cool in his acceptance speech for the award of Best Male Artiste which he dedicated to those three and Bobi Wine appealed to them to be present when these awards are taking place because it is the fans who have elevated them to those levels.
