It was a painful game for Ghana and also marked the end of the World Cup to most Africans with Ghana which was the only team left in the World Cup to miss making it to the semi finals after one player decided to switch to volley ball stopping the  ball that had gone past the pole.

The game between Uruguay and Ghana was seeming like a game for Uruguay in the first 15 minutes before the guys from Ghana charged ending up in a 0-0 after the first half. 2 minutes were added after the first half and this is when the mighty boys from Ghana scored their first goal clearly booking them a prime spot in the 2014 Brazil World Cup.

A few minutes in the second half, Diego Forlan for Uruguay an equalizer which made it 1-1 until the end of the second half. 3 minutes were added after the second half but that did not result in any goals. The game had to tend to the Extra time of 30 minutes now that it was a draw game and a winner had to be selected at all costs.

The game shifted to the 30 minutes version which also ended up in Uruguay 1and Ghana 1 only to end up in penalty kicks. Both teams were seen praying at this point in time. The first penalty shot for Uruguay was taken by Diego Forlan and it was a goal, followed by Gyan Asamoah which was also a goal. Ghana got two goals from the Penalty shots while Uruguay got 4 shots crossing over to the semi finals and seeing Ghana (Africa) out of the World Cup.

However, the move by the cheating hand ball is what makes it much painful because some players and fans broke down to tears. Below are what some of the fans are saying over the match which to many will be voted as the main match of the World Cup 2010.
