The former National Social Security Fund (NSSF) boss Chandi Jamwa was arrested at the Kenya-Uganda border two weeks back as he was crossing to Kenya. Jamwa was immediately transferred to Kampala and taken to the Anti Corruption Court from where he was remanded to Luzira for two weeks.
His application for bail was approved yesterday on grounds that he was diabetic and also had family dependents to look after. He has deposited his passport with the court and should he require to move a distance of over 80kms, he has to inform the court about his movements.
