Khan Kakama the one and half year old boy was reported missing early in the month by his parents Sven and Naome Karekaho. Naome received a phone call about her baby missing and very quickly alerted the police.
Apparently the boy was left in the custody of a maid as both parents went for work. A few hours later the mother received a phone call from one of the maids alerting her of the missing baby.
Since then a search and an appeal to whoever knows the where abouts of Khan Kakama has been on until this morning when the police landed on Khan Kakama's body in Kamwokya, a Kampala suburb.
Mr. Kakama confirmed that the boys parts are intact ruling out the case of child sacrifice. Meanwhile, Police sources say the boy's captors had just been paid 30m and had promised to direct his parents where the boy was, but this was not done until when the dead body was discovered this morning.
A requiem mass was held on Wednesday at All Saints church with the first family in attendance. The First Lady Mrs. Janet Museveni appealed to the relevant authorities to bring all those responsible to book.
Khan Kakama will be buried in Rukungiri on Thursday. All sim cards are going to be registered because so many people are using sim cards and carrying out crimes like demanding ransom on mobile phones and there after discarding them.
The Minister of ICT, Aggrey Awori said that the registering of all sim cards will be turned into law very soon.
