The Buganda Cabinet that convened early in the day has declared one week of mourning starting March 22. All the Buganda flags are flying at half mast.
The Kabaka was able to go to the venue but was speechless. Before that, the President was at the venue though the huge crowd was protesting the move forcing the military that had been deployed a few minutes before his arrival to shoot.
Two people were shot and about five injured and are now in Mulago hospital. Medard Segona said that they will have to follow the matter until they get the culprits who brought the historical tombs to ashes.
Police has also set up a special team to investigate the cause of the fire. The Buganda Cabinet is positive though the fire was not accidental.
