
Prof. Apollo Nsibambi is nursing chest pains after the chopper they were traveling in from the Kenyan border crush landed on a tree in Bugiri District on Monday afternoon. The Prime Minister was coming from the Kenyan border after receiving relief from the Kenyan government that was being extended to the Bududa victims.
The police chopper had seven occupants who are responding well according the the Government spokesperson Minister Kabakumba Matsiko. They have been transferred from Bugiri hospital to Mulago referral hospital.
Police spokesman in the Eastern region Samson Lubega said: ''Police spokesman in the South Eastern Region, Samson Lubega said: "The Helicopter first landed on a tree and proceeded down to the ground in the compound of Bugiri Hospital."
The New Vision adds that the pilot of the chopper is in a critical condition.
