The Grand finale show kicked off with all the 12 contestants on stage with the final four doing performances. Uganda's Caroline did a song entitled "Afro" accompanied with some nice dance strokes to which Dr.Mich concluded that he did not need any judge to tell him that Carol was a nice dancer.

Judge Ian was tasked by Dr.Mitch to do a song. He stood up with a mic and did some slow country track and at the end of it all it was time for the hunter to be hunted. He was judged by the very contestants he had been judging throughout the eight week period.

N'gang'a told him that his performance was 5 percent while Patricia advised him to consult Alpha on how to use the stage. When it came to the faculty to pass their judgement to Ian, one simply turned the guns to Dr.Mich to show cause if he could also sing.

He was quick at admitting that he could not sing but did a 20 second rap before ordering the machines to stop. It was now time to announce the winners. Four envelopes were delivered and in 4th place was Patricia from Kenya, and 3rd place was taken by Caroline from Uganda.

That left two men standing i.e. Alpha and Ngang'a. It is amazing how N'gang'a was confidently smiling at this time as though he had been tipped of the unthinkable but no please they simply turned to the winning envelope and ALPHAAAA from Rwanda emerged the winner.

It should also be noted that it is the first time Rwanda is participating in the academy and the mantle was theirs to take. The winner will walk away with 5Mn Kenyan shillings, one year recording contract with Galore records among others.
