Orange Uganda Limited has launched its services in Uganda. This is the fifth operator after MTN, Zain, UTL and WARID. Orange Uganda will use the 079 code and will be sharing masts with WARID.
Customers should not expect lower rates for the sake of attracting a big clientele but will instead get a better service in terms of value according to the Chief Executive Officer Philippe Luxcey.
The company also has a unique service dubbed ''CallMe''. Once activated on your phone a customer with less than 200Ugx can send over 8 free sms to any local mobile phone requesting that very number to call back.
