Roger Mugisha resigns his job at KFM over 103million MP cars

(Updated)-KFM's D'Mighty Breakfast show presenter Roger Mugisha has resigned his job over reports of MP's receiving 103m each to purchase personal cars. Management is trying to convince him to reconsider but based on his latest posting, that seems unlikely.

"You can judge me all you want, but the are values that are embedded in my inner core that I can't compromise. I can't pretend that everything is ok when its not. My New year resolution is to take action and not just whisper the Ugandan way.

We all fear to speak and yet we are hurting. Mps aren't there cars in the bond of 20m ? Why 103m for cars that depreciate? The teachers who taught you are still in the schools you went to hoping, you will come to their rescue."

Since the beginning of this year, Roger Mugisha has been a serious critic of things going wrong. It is not easy to see an average Ugandan taking the direction Roger Mugisha has taken.

Fans of his show are busy pleading with him to retract the move. Meanwhile, in his latest posting, he has come up to say that his resignation was not about money after his bosses were looking at a pay rise to make him reverse his decision and this is what he wrote:

Am being offered a pay rise....My quitting is not ABOUT money, I was concerned about what I could have said on air out of anger that could have led to the closure of the radio when some people depend on this job.

I make enough money outside radio, so it's not about money. I have loved this country for all I remember and I think our leadersneed a reality check. Am trying to make a point here that enough is enough"
