Getting where to park on Kampala road is a problem
Parking space in the Kampala Central Business District is a problem with most parking slots now turned into no parking zones either by it's proximity to a court, police station or otherwise.

This has left motorists with no choice but to park on pavements as most commercial buildings have limited parking slots for tenants and customers. If you get to Kampala city by 8:00am, it will take you some time to locate parking if you are lucky.

KCCA Notice
Responding to parking on the pavements, Kampala Capital City Authority has come up with a notice; "Prohibiting Vehicle Parking On Pavements''. The notice that was signed by the Executive Director, J.Semakula Musisi read in part; Any vehicle found parked as aforesaid shall be impounded and towed away at the expense of the offender.

The fuel you use looking for where to park might actually be more than what you used to go to Kampala for those who reside 3 to 7kms out of Kampala

The Pioneer Easy Bus Project
The first 100 buses out of the 500 are already in Mombasa being cleared and will soon start making their way to Kampala. They will be operating in the central business district for 24 hours employing close to 4,000 people. Commuter taxis will now operate in the outskirts.

The buses have a total capacity of 61, of which 31 will be seated and 30 standing fully equipped with seats for the disabled. With the buses in the pipeline, you might as well park your car, get onto the next bus other than suffering with where to park.
