How Joy Segawa Met Her Death

On Monday morning a Denmark based Ugandan couple that was in the country for the festive season was involved in an accident killing Joy Miriam Segawa who was six months pregnant instantly. She left behind two kids.

Douglas Segawa is still in intensive care at Nsambya Hospital. Entebbe Road has these boda boda cyclists who are found of riding in the pedestrian walkways, so the cyclist hit the pavement and reversed into the road only to meet Douglas and Joy who were already speeding.

Joy fell in the middle of the road as Douglas struggled with the bike that later rammed into a petrol station as narrated by eye-witnesses.

Had it not been for the carelessness of this Boda boda cyclist who by the way took off to avoid arrest, this life could have been saved. The two bikes were written off

what kinda sencible fella from a deveroped nation like Danmark take a pregnant wowan on a motorbike on Kampaala roads...that my fellow Ugandans is the most stupid thing I have seen in all the 35 years i have so far live...yes..one has to speak out..yes we are all sorry and dont we all know the lunatic, crazeness of the boda boda bikers? this boy did a mistake not to protect his six month pregnant wife. and thats a fact.

Mike,with all due respect to your comment, this is not the time to point fingers at Segawa. He is fighting for his life and God willing if he pulls through, he'll have to deal with this for the rest of his life. Now before you pass judgement next time, revise your english/spellings which is terrible by the way. You pointed out someone's faults, let me point yours out too. Next time address us in luganda if it's easier for you.Segawa get well soon.May Joy RIP.

Isn't that some kind of nuggu!A death by accident is not anything one plans.You cannot say a pregnant woman cannot take a cycle ride.I don't think you are even a guru on such matters,so please let people be and let the deceased rest in internal peace.
