Garden City was more or less the only shopping centre around Kampala and later Nakumatt Oasis which is right next to it opened shop clearly making it a complex of shops as it had banks, restaurants, beauty shops and so on but now more 'cities' are coming up in the outskirts of Kampala.
Freedom City along Entebbe road, Quality Village in Lubowa, Capital Shoppers City in Ntinda, Metroplex in Naalya among others will surely go a long way in decongesting the city.
The shopping malls have food courts, ample parking, children play areas and ample parking though some still offer free parking space but this won't go on for long. At Nakumatt Oasis, parking control management systems are in place.
