The Minister for Presidency, Kabakumba Labwoni Masiko has finally tendered in her resignation to the President following the discovery of the Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) transmitters at a radio station in which she is a majority share holder.

On Monday night, Cabinet and NRM Caucus meetings resolved that she resigns. This decision was reached at after the Minister gave conflicting reports on how UBC equipment was found at her Masindi based FM radio station.

She was given a chance to defend herself on why a mast and transmitter belonging to a government entity were at her private radio station, the minister said that she had a memorandum of understanding with UBC and she was yet to pay them.

She was courageous enough to take political responsibility of her mistakes. What about those who defied a parliamentary resolution to resign. Sheer arrogance.
