The Nakawa based Rwenzori Bottling Co. Ltd which is a subsidiary of SABMiller Plc has launched yet another pack on it's long list of brands dubbed 'Rwenzori Premium Finest' which is of course is the same Rwenzori mineral water but this time packed in a blue 750ml bottle.
The move was prompted by the over 40 mineral water providers on the market. $300,000 was pumped in the project whose mineral water is filtered nine times making it one of the healthiest products in the region.
Rwenzori Premium was made for those customers who demand for something beyond the usual. The blue bottle can easily be confused for wine if you do not look closely. In the just concluded PAM Awards, the bottle was mixed with wine bottles but if you hadn't known about water being packed in a blue bottle, then you would think it's an alcoholic drink.
In some places the bottle is going for Shs 3,000 and it can be got from all the main supermarkets before it rolls out to the entire country.
