Katongole Singh has been ordered to pay Kasibante half of teh costs incured on the case

Katongole Singh was declared the winner for Rubaga North after a vote recount which Moses Kasibante had won. The High Court in Kampala has declared Moses Kasibante as the duly elected MP for Rubaga North.

Justice Kibuuka Musoke citing a clause from the Parliamentary and Presidential Elections Act faulted the Mengo Chief Magistrate for allowing a vote recount more so being done by a third party.

Court also ordered Katongole Singh to pay half the costs incurred on the case to Moses Kasibante. Court was also silent on whether there would be a re-run of the Rubaga North MP elections.

Kasibante's supporters on learning that court had ruled in their favour, they took to the streets something that did not go down well with police and accordingly unleashed teargas on Kasibante's supporters who ended up taking to their heels.

Bannange, did police first order these people to disperse before splashing them with water, tear gas etc...? Oba, the police were too angry with the Court that they just moved MIGHTILY to disperse a jubilating crowd (in the name of...)??!!?? If the former is what is true, then we need to add a new role to the known police roles!! Any ideas????

I think much as the police is entitled to protect the lives and property of Ugandans as stipulates the1995 constitution of The republic Uganda, some where some how they have dosed and flipped off the seat .
