Jose Chameleone in his BMW

Jose Chameleone was on Saturday seen cruising his BMW that was donated to him by business man Meddie Ssentogo as if in celebration of Meddie's release.  Meddie was arrested early last week together with Bad Black but was released on Saturday, October 22, 2011 as Bad Black remains remanded in Luzira prison and will be produced in court on November 3, 2011.

Some time back Meddie and Chameleone were involved in a nasty fight over Meddie's girlfriend then, Dora. The fight almost took the star who recently converted to Islam and later backslid out of action. Meddie retaliated by donating his BMW to the Vumilia star that was estimated at 120m as a reconciliation token.

On Saturday, the very day Meddie was released, Jose Chameleone was seen cruising the ride in Industrial area while playing his music loud enough to whoever cared to listen. Meanwhile, the star has once again proved that he runs East Africa with his latest Swahili track 'Valu Valu' which has taken club goers by storm.

The track was played in Silk Oxygen on Saturday and party animals like Tyra Mac, Anita Mbalire plus other gals who were sharing a table could not keep their short sexy dresses on the sofas.

Valu Valu is a great song but it sounds 'exactly'good similar to Sammy Kasule's older hit called 'Ozze'. I hope the two composers agreed on this otherwise copyright issues may arise.

@ Menton I think you are not getting it here...the track is good now you comparing the East African giant to little unknown Kasule is in itself not adding up.. At least what is important is that you acknowledge that the track is good. You need to reflect to the Nobody Vs Bread and Butter issue and then you will be sorted.

Man I dont even know kasule with his song you are calling a hit, most hit songs in uganda and East Africa at large are always known and the artists get popularity....when was that unknown hit released Jose can not copy

Tunashukur kazi unaedelea bila kuzigatia jose. Fitina yao ni bahati yako

bamz i think its u who doesnt get it. whether E.A giant vs little known kasule, all we are saying that the work Chameleon produced sounds similar to that kasule had done earlier.its pretty unfortunate that your music listenin ethusiasm only spans a few years. now that in itself becomes a problem if the former cries foul. i trust yo not that daft and i honestly imagine u get the drift and know a few things about patents and copy rights.
Posted by folk on 25/10/2011 - 12:28 AM
@ folk hmmm you have very good observations that are centered along copyright and patents a program that has failed in economies like ours. The other thing you should know is that in whatever we do, we have someone we are copying just like any other business. May be to help me understand your argument better, which tracks has that artiste played other than that one which is being compared to the giant? What is the artiste up to now, I mean does he still do music or he has just sat back to cry foul over music that sounds like his moving up the charts
Posted by Bamz on 25/10/2011 - 01:01 AM
Bamz...its obvious u have a constipated mind..Folks has a point, the sound is not new its just the lyrics and language that has changed and thats his observation and hes entitled to his opinion as well....how old are u btw? Do u even know how old Sammy Kasule (based in Sweden) is...he was here before Chameleone so please use your brains next time, dont act like you are all intellectual if u cant put 2 and 2 together.
Posted by Kati on 26/10/2011 - 06:42 AM
@ Kati that is indeed very funny. I only hope ur not the artiste (read)Kasule. By the time you are done with this thread hopefully Kasule will be known but whatever you say, you do and no amount of abuses will make the guy known, he is unknown period. And for any other artistes out there, it is ur music to do the talking not wolox.. So Kasule er Kati please just hit the studio and release hits not exchanging with people who should be buying your music

its oke for Dr.Jose to show support to his friend and wlcming people is not a crime

So u want to say VALU VALU is the so called Kasule's comeback song? Call you Kasule from where evr he is to come and do VALu VAlu concert...MAN..don't miss ur drugs take them as ur doctor has instructed other wise your madness is woresning...

bamz is spot on,why blow the whistle on behalf of kasule if u a not kasule yaself.what is ya intention of bringing it up to the public to make them biased.if u accept that ya new name is kasule based in sweden, then the argument may be different, OTHERWISElearn to respect peoples work.Chameleon has proved over time that he has the ability 2 do gd work without copying fm anybody.

Hi Ronny! I think this matter was closed as we drew a clear line on the Valu Valu track..By the way as we talk, it's becoming old but trust the giant, before it waters down, he would have come up with another hit...so again this artiste should hit the studio, come up with another track, move through the crowds to the top, and then we will be able to comment on whether it is a hit or not!!!
Posted by Bamz on 29/11/2011 - 05:38 AM
@Bamz & Eee: One fact you can't deny is that the Kasules you are belittling were here before the good Doctor. They made it possible for the Chameleone generation to reap from their music. As simple as that. Did you hear of what Afrigo band's Moses Matovu had to say about that whole issue? Listen, wise up, and learn something or two from the statement he made about it. I guess Moses is one of the most respected artistes in Uganda. Stay Blessed.
