Prince John Barigye of Ankore is dead. The Prince passed on from the Nairobi based Aga Khan Hospital on Friday evening. At the time of his death, the Prince was in the middle of a divorce case (Nakawa Court) with Denise Kwezi who she wedded in a civil ceremony back in 1999.
The Prince who was crowned in 1993 and Denise were blessed with four children. Efforts in bringing the marriage back to harmony were made difficult by Denise who was not willing to resume the marriage.
At the time of his death, Prince Barigye was recovering from a kidney transplant he had undergone early in the year from India. The operation was successful. He died at the age of 70.
