Model Doreen Kabareebe and Jose Chameleone's wife Daniella Atim were spotted together for the first time since 2012 when the picture of Chameleone touching the models naked bottom became viral. The sight of the pic was too disgusting for Daniella to the extent that she warned Doreen to keep her 'curves' off her man.
What turned out to be surprising to many last Saturday was to see Doreen and Daniella standing side by side with no animosity in sight. The two were attending the marriage service for Esther Akankwasa that was being held at Kansanga Miracle Centre. Doreen was one of the maids.
Based on the killer pic that saw Jose wrap his hand around Doreen's bare bottom and whispering sweet nothings, Daniella was the last person that was to stand next to the video vixen cum model who was more than determined to have the music doctor. Now that the two were never seen together, all sorts of rumours have emerged as to why.
Doreen got wind of this and very quickly dashed to her wall with this posting: "Guys, u shd all learn to stand in whatever situation coz the truth always comes out. God never sleeps....Lights out, Prayers up!....the world's negativity makes any wise person stronger en more focused. Blessings to y'all," she concluded.
In her words Doreen seems to suggest that Daniella had no problem with that act as she is seen wearing a smile in the photo.
Jose Chameleone has given a special shout out to his former backup vocalists, Moze Radio and Weasel who have been nominated in this year's BET Awards.
Chameleone took to facebook to give his shout out to the Goodlyfe Crew: "The triumph of a son is the Pride of the father. On that note, I join the rest of the music fraternity to Congratulate Radio & Weasel on their BET nomination..you learnt from the best and you learnt well. I pray you win it for Uganda. Good luck"
The Goodlyfe Crew have been doing their thing for five years now since breaking away from Jose Chameleone's Leone Island Music Empire to form their own group, The Goodlyfe Crew.
It's not clear if Bebe Cool will congratulate the duo, but Bobi Wine is yet to do so. Meanwhile, the boys can't hide their excitement over this achievement, the first of its kind to happen to a Ugandan artiste.
Moze Radio wrote: "Let's go team Uganda. ..let's go team Rwanda...let's go team Kenya...let's go team Tanzania...let's go team Sudan...South Africa...Central Africa...West Africa...North Africa...America...Europe...Asia...Australia...let's go...B E T...is here in a Goodlyfe style...Radio and Weasel nominated for the Best International African act."
Jose Chameleone's young brother, Weasel joined with these words: "All Goodlyfe fans are BET material, we are diamonds...history made."
After announcing his launch dates for the Coccidiosis album, Bebe Cool tweeted that, "A Chameleone can only change its colour but not it's skin." In this statement, Bebe Cool seems to imply that every other thing around Chameleone can change but not the skin complexion even after tones of Mekako and Samona jelly are applied.
Sometime back, it was reported of how Chameleone had a strange skin disease may be that is how Bebe Cool gets his ideas. Coccidiosis is one of his latest songs and now made it his album title. This is what happens when you are big. Just yesterday, The Goodlyfe Crew were comparing themselves to Chameleone and also giving impressions that their brand is now bigger than Chameleone's.
But In spite of all that, Chameleone is still in a jubilation mood after his well attended Badilisha show and certainly has no time. The latest information streaming in from Tanzania indicates that Chameleone's Valu Valu and Keko's Make U Dance have been nominated in the Kilimanjaro Awards.
During the recently concluded BADILISHA concert, Chameleone performed songs by different artistes that included Bobi Wine, Goodlyfe, Bebe Cool and Judith Babirye among others, a gesture that was welcomed by many music lovers. The Badilisha star went an extra mile to even appeal to his fans to go and support the Goodlyfe Crew's forthcoming Obudde album.
It's important to note that this was coming at a time when not long back, Moze Radio, a member of the Goodlyfe Crew used everything in his powers to ask the police to speed up with their investigations in the Karamagi case. In spite of all that, the Music Doctor went ahead to drum up support for their (Goodlyfe) concert and also performed their 'Bread and Butter' hit.
Going by the Goodlyfe's latest posting which is also their definition of Success, the duo now say they are even bigger than the music doctor given their constant appearances on MTV Base and topping charts on Trace.
"Success is: Doin wat othrz have dan n 10yrz, in less thn 5yrz!, topin charts on Trace, MTV Base etc, breaking away from a brand n makin an even bigger brand! # OBUDDE"
In their message, the dynamic duo don't seem to recognise their mentor and yet when Bobi Wine appreciated their Music, they were quick to say, Thank You.
The Obudde album will be held on May 10, 2013 at Hotel Africana and later pundits will compare notes with the Badilisha concert to see to it if their statement is valid.
It's a little hard to comprehend that the Badilisha star has turned 34 years old today and remained one of the biggest musical acts in East Africa. The Badilisha Concert that was held over the weekend confirms that. Married to Daniella Atim and together they are blessed with three kids, Abba who rocked at the Badilisha Concert, Alfa Mayanja and Alba Shyne Mayanja. Chameleone has another daughter, Ayla Mayanja with his ex Belgium wife, Dorotia.
In his birthday message, the star with over 13 years in the music industry had this to say: "Soooo many years sooooo many challenges, but with the love of the most high God, my family, fans and friends we have challenged back!
Today I want to celebrate my 34th BIRTHDAY with you who have made my life worth living, I mark this day that I was born with a lot of presents that include your tremendous support for BADILISHA Live! You gave me the best birthday present ever by showing me your love, together we made it."
Chameleone's 13-year-music journey has not been a bed of roses. In 2008, the star fell from a top floor of a hotel in Arusha breaking his legs in the process, then a year later, he was knocked to near death around Wampewo round about by now jailed Meddie Ssentongo. The two made up and he actually gave him the Mayanja customised BMW in appreciation of his music. If the transfer was not made, this could be one of the properties belonging to Meddie that Greenhalgh is seeking to attach.
The worst blow to his career was the death of Robert Karamagi who broke into his Sseguku based house only to torch himself. He later died from Mulago Hospital. Chameleone was cleared though police insist they will not hesitate to revisit the file should they find it necessary.
One thing is for sure, at 34, he is still releasing more hits. 'Valu- Valu', 'Badilisha', 'Moto-Moto', 'Mama Mia' 'Kipepeo' and 'Beyi Kali' among others are the hits that continue to resonate with his fans. Happy Birthday Chameleone.

Africa's number six and East Africa's finest, Jose Chameleone did it once again at the Badilisha Concert that was held at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds. Dressed like an astronaut straight from Mars to Kyadondo, the Badilisha star hit the stage at about 10:30pm doing 'Owakabi' followed by 'Bomboclut' and later his other top hits that included, Mama Mia, 'Mambo Bado', 'Bayuda' among others.
The Ghetto President was all smiles in the VIP section clad in black alongside the Kampala Metropolitan Police Boss Felix Kaweesi plus other East African artistes that included Redsan, Samputu and Prof. Jay among others.
Local artistes who entertained the guests before Chamili hit the stage included: Navio, Gravity Omutuju, AK47, Papa Cidy, Mathias Walukagga, Ronald Mayinja and Coco Finger among others.
True to his name, Chameleone stunned guests when he did songs by fellow artistes like Bebe Cool's 'Kasepiki', 'Wendi' by Bobi Wine, 'Bread and Butter' by the Goodlyfe and 'Bweyanyamba' by Judith Babirye. He did not spare Jaguar's Kigeugeu.
Chameleone later urged half of his fans at the Badilisha live show to support the OBUDDE album launch by Goodlyfe which will take place on May 10, 2013.
As the show was almost winding up, Chameleone invited his son, Abba Marcus Mayanja who took on to the guitar to do the 'Bomboclut' song. The boy looked calm before the crowd as he did justice to the guitar. Last year, Valu-Valu was big but Badilisha was even bigger with numbers estimated at over 24,000.
Police issued a terror alert earlier in the day but this did not stop fans from rocking the venue which was the scene of the July 2010 Al-Shabab bombs that left over 70 dead.
All is set for the Badilisha Concert tomorrow (Apr 26) at the Kyadondo Rugby Grounds. Jose Chameleone was at the grounds ensuring that all is well ahead of the concert. Redsan from Kenya, Professor Jay from Tz and Massamba from Rwanda will perform alongside Uganda's music heavy weight.
Doing his hair as he sipped a cold bell, Chameleone did the Badilisha dance saying he is more than ready as he appealed to his fans to come in large numbers. Tickets going for 10k and 30k will be purchased at the gates.
"A few people can at times say, going for a concert is very difficult claiming it's a long journey, expensive tickets but for the BADILISHA Concert there is literally no excuse because at Kyadondo, we have brought the music closer to your community.
The stage is up to the standards and the delivery will be perfect." Chameleone said.
Jose Chameleone has spoken out on the ongoing debate as to whether he should be on the list of the top ten wealthiest musicians on the African continent or not. Bebe Cool is on record for having rubbished the report claiming that as far as he is concerned, wealth means just how much you give to the needy.
Bobi Wine now says he has no problem if a comrade is ranked the best in Africa but then adds that some people have no reason to talk about wealth or money matters now that they have no address they can call their own since they are still renting.
After the two were done with their submissions on the top richest African list, the heavy weight came out of his shell and this is what he had to say: "Am not going to be intimidated by anybody to declare how much am worth. My struggle is to give my children the best value out of my good music. To all my Comrades, I am Nothing, to my fans I am worthy."
With those very few words, Chameleone simply put it that all he strives for is for his children to get the very best life can offer out of his music career. The Moto-moto singer concluded by wishing his fans a Happy Palm Sunday and a blessed week ahead.
He also reminded his fans of his forthcoming Badilisha album launch slated for next month at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds.
The issue of Chameleone being ranked number 10 among the top richest African musicians has now taken a new twist. A day after Bebe Cool gave his views on what he thought about the top list, Bobi Wine has come out with what he terms as his views as opposed to what appeared in the Bukedde Newspaper of March 21, 2013.
"It is unfortunate that my name has been dragged into some immature argument. Well, It's only understandable that my name can't be ignored when this topic of money and wealth comes up. However, let me put it straight, There's absolutely no reason for me to have any kind of problem when a comrade in showbiz is ranked the richest artist in Africa just like I would not expect him to have a problem if my wife ranked me the strongest man in the world.
The 'By Far' singer adds that: This is called Showbiz(ness). As for you our elder brother (Neighbour with no address), no one quarrelled when you ranked yourself best artist of all time in Uganda. I really think you crossed borders when you started talking money and wealth because I don't see you in this area. $$Just an Observation$$", he concluded.
In his message, Bobi Wine makes it clear that he has no problem with his comrade being ranked number 10, in fact, he puts it plainly that he has no problem if he's the richest in Africa. Bobi Wine does not think that BEBE who has no address now that his house is still under construction should have the guts to talk about money and wealth and he does not see him in this area.
It should be noted at this point that Bobi Wine has his mansion in Magere, just completed Semakokiro Plaza with 12 units that currently house his Fire Base Crew offices, an Escalade and a beach in Busabala among others. Bebe Cool on the other hand has his Hummer, just recently was trying out the Bebe Cool Wine though not much is known about the wine currently.
Bobi Wine's response has come at the time when Bebe Cool had just put a pic of Chameleone eating rice on a plastic plate, but in all this, all Chameleone says is, kutaBADILISHA.
Jose Chameleone has left the country for the first time since the Karamagi saga that left him grounded in the country as investigations were going on. Chameleone left on Thursday for Rwanda where he will be performing at Serena Hotel in Kigali tonight during the second album launch of RnB singer, Knowless Butera.
Knowless was at Club Rouge a few days back during the Rwanda Nite, and while she was not on stage, the Rwanda star was in the company of the Badilisha singer and her manager, Clement. Knowless has a collabo dubbed 'Byemere' with Vamposs and another collabo with Jose Chameleone will be launched tonight during the Uwondiwe Album Launch that is sponsored by MTN.
Other artistes who will be performing in Rwanda include: Rwanda's Uncle Austin, Tom Close and Mani Martin. Revellers will part with 5,000RWF and VIP will be 10,000RWF including a CD.
Dembe FM's Isaac Katende aka Kasuku has apologized to Jose Chameleone's wife Daniella Atim for the comments he made on December 31, 2012. During his Dembe FM talk and talk show today, Kasuku kicked off with an apology.
"It is not true that Daniella was moving out with a one Emma and it's also not true that Daniella was beaten to the point of getting a miscarriage." Bobi Wine's 'Demakakana when de ma see me' was first on his play list followed by Yung Mullo's 'Tebakusobola' before resorting to the topic of the day - female artistes in the music industry.
On the 28.Feb.2013, Kasuku and Daniella were in court and it was decided that Daniella pays 221,500/- to Kasuku and in turn Kasuku apologizes on his radio show and his blog, he has already done that on radio but his blog has been off for close to a week now.
Kasuku run a poll of Uganda's Best Musician in the last 50 years as part of Uganda's 50 years of independence in which Bebe Cool was declared as the top artiste. Just yesterday, he has come up with another list which he says is from a trusted friend that puts Bebe Cool as number one as the richest musician in East Africa.
Isaac Katende aka Kasuku and Daniella were yesterday back in the Makindye based court over the hot slap that resulted in a torn shirt and a destroyed rosary. Daniella has now been asked to pay Ugx 221,500 in damages.
Kasuku has also been asked to apologise to Daniella on Radio and the blog where he posted the Seguku house remarks and never to mention anything about Daniella be it positive or negative.
The compesation was broken down as follows: The torn shirt was valued at Shs20,000, rosary at Shs1,500/- and treatment 200,000/- Regarding the treatment, Kasuku had to seek services of a masseuse who massaged his slapped cheek to ensure that all was well.
This is the second case involving the Mayanja's to be cleared in a span of two months. First, It was the Karamagi case in which Chameleone was accused of torching an intruder in his Seguku house on boxing day, but that is a thing of the past after it turned out that he had no case to answer and now the Daniella slap.
Now that this was an out of court settlement, the couple was seen a few days back jet skiing at Spenah Beach in Entebbe celebrating the positive developments.
The Badilisha star Jose Chameleone was over the weekend spotted with his wife Daniella at Spenah Beach in Entebbe cruising on a jet ski. The lovers looked like newly weds on a honeyman as Daniella clung on to Chameleone as he raced away.
The couple has of late been in court for various issues. Chameleone was cleared in the Karamagi saga and there was no better way of celebrating that milestone other than shooting his Badilisha video which happens to be his latest Album.
Daniella on the other hand will be in court again on the 28-Feb-2013. Insider sources have it that Daniella is in talks with Kasuku lawyers to have the case settled out of court.
Regarding Chameleone's latest Album launch, this is what he has to say: "We have never been this ready! 26th April 2013 #BADILISHA live.. the Grounds are Waiting, the drums are roaring and all shall sing along the sounds of LEONE ISLAND,the #Badilisha Dance shall be Synonymous with all and even the sick and eldery shall disaprove their sympathisers ..#BADILISHA LIVE...2013, these are not promises, these are guarantees for a great nite on 26th April... when we officially usher in the muscial year."
Jose Chameleone's wife Daniella Atim Mayanja had always been the reserved type at least compared to Bobi Wine's Barbie and Bebe Cool's Zuena but from the time she slapped Kuku Wazabanga, a journo with Dembe FM, it changed that perception.
It all started with Kuku claiming that the Sseguku house which Chameleone has since left after relocating to Muyenga was about to be taken by loan sharks. Daniella wondered how that could be possible and yet she was in possession of the land title in question, so she drove to the Monitor Publications.
It was during that visit that the two allegedly engaged in a fight. On Monday afternoon(Feb 11), Daniella Atim appeared before the Makindye Chief Magistrates Court for fighting in a public place.
Criminal summons were issued to Kuku as well but he did not show up. The mother of three denied the charges. She was later released on bail after two members of the Leone Island Crew executed a non cash bail of shs10m each.
Chameleone was around the court to support his dear wife. The case was adjourned to Feb 28, 2013.
Uganda's music heavy weight Jose Chameleone has officially released the Badilisha video, which also happens to be the title for his 2013 album.
The star who recently shifted to Muyenga from his Seguku house after ten years is all set for the launch. Valu Valu in 2012 was massive but the Badilisha Concert is likely to surpass Valu-Valu by far and large.
Chameleone has been tussling with the Karamagi case for the last one month but this seems like a thing of the past after he was cleared by the Director of Public Prosecution. On being cleared, completing the Badilisha video and shifting to a new house were top on his agenda.
Chameleone says that the date is 'olwede bukuuti' meaning that the date has been confirmed though as we earlier told you that the search for a relatively bigger venue is the reason the actual date has not been communicated.
It's a new year and new music from all corners is being released by both upcoming and established artistes. Chameleone's young brother, AK47 has also released his version of 'Gal A Bubble' video which he did with DiziZa. You know Konshens version but this version is 'Oligiono' read original by AK47 though you must be 18 and over to watch this!.
Chameleone has been forced to quit his Sseguku based house to Muyenga for security reasons. The singer says that his security and that of his family was compromised.
"My security and that of my family was compromised in Seguku. Therefore it was prudent to acquire another place as the security issues at Seguku got fixed. Again this will allow for the renovation work that has been going on at Seguku for the last 4 months get finished and done more efficiently. Leone island family, introducing my new hut in Muyenga."
Earlier reports had indicated that the Moto-Moto star had moved all his posh rides that included an Escalade, BMW, and a Range Rover Sport plus other valuables to his in-laws in Bina something that the star was quick to refute. He even invited some folks to come to Sseguku and prove that the allegations were wrong.
It has not been a bed of roses for the 'Badilisha' singer for the last one month following the death of Robert Karamagi who broke into his house late last year only to allegedly torch himself from the singer's house.
Chameloene's movements to his Sseguku house during day time were greatly affected after that incident. This has in the end left him with no choice but to relocate to Muyenga. The kids were seen enjoying the new home which is well equipped with a swimming pool and a quiet neighborhood.
Meanwhile, the singer is in his final stages of launching his latest album, Badilisha. Insider sources say that a search for a venue that can handle a crowd bigger than that of the Valu-Valu launch is on.
Bobi Wine's house in Magere and inset is his Semakokiro Plaza followed by Chameleone's Sseguku based house while posing right by Daniella Villas and last but not least is Bebe Cool's Kiwatule based mansion that has seen much progress in the last months to the level of roofing.
The music industry in Uganda is so competitive especially when it comes to these three top male artistes but their cribs have always been an interesting topic of discussion for the fans.
Regarding Bobi Wine's Magere based crib, there is nothing much to write home about. Just recently, he moved his Fire Base office and studio to Semakokiro Plaza that has over 10 units boosting his savings as he won't have any office rent to pay.
Chameleone is busy renovating his house though complaining of how cement prices are sky rocketing but fans have advised him to resort to using cow dung or he should very quickly come up with a concert of sorts tagged to house renovation.
Bebe Cool has just roofed his luxurious 6in1 mansion and this very year, he could move in at least going by the progress on the house. The Kamwako singer has committed all resources to the house putting on hold his other activities like donating to charity, painting his current Ntinda house among others.
Chameleone's file has been sent to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) to advise on whether the Moto-Moto star Jose Chameleone should be prosecuted or not based on the evidence so far gathered and the report from Mulago hospital on what caused the death of Robert Karamagi.
On Thursday, Robert Karamagi's dad was at Kibuli police making a statement on the death of his son. Earlier on, Daniella and Chameleone plus other members of Leone Island Music Empire (LIME) made statements that were helping police with the investigations.
Hopefully this will make Moze Radio settle and also realise that the police is doing its job though it cannot work on his orders. On Saturday, the Chameleone's were in a family meeting discussing this case in particular and also appealing to Moze Radio through Weasel TV to be calm.
In case the situation warrants that Chameleone be prosecuted, then the manslaughter charge would be preferred against him now that Karamagi did not die from the singer's home. It would have been murder had he died from Chameleone's home.
Moze Radio promised not to keep quiet until something is done. By Monday afternoon, Moze Radio was still spitting venom with worse off allegations. Chameleone simply brushed it off with this post: "With all these bricks that have been thrown at me these past few days, I will lay a firm foundation."
The Karamagi saga makes Chameleone feel like 'Moto Moto', 'Badilisha', 'Shida Za Dunia' and now 'Street Kid' his latest, a collabo with Jamaica's Konshens who also refers to him as Africa's finest.
Moze Radio was Jose Chameleone's back up vocalist back then but part ways in the year 2008. Moze together with Chameleone's brother Douglas Mayanja aka Weasel TV formed the Goodlyfe Crew. 'Magnetic' and 'Fantastic' are their latest songs.
A few days back, Moze Radio decided to unearth some info here which he thought would be relevant to police but instead, Chameleone's fans who are the majority anyway told him off with some asking him to give up music and join police instead.
In his latest message to police, he says: "Chameleone is wanted for murder n yet I still c him in public!!! I have voiced my anguish n all I get r insults from his sympathisers. Am deeply disturbed by da Uganda Police for their silence. am not going to stop my campaign against violence."
Chameleone's fans are stuck to one thing, prayer and have supported him all the way as he confirmed in his tweet. "I'm humbled by this moral support. We shall overcome. The devil is a liar."
Matters were even made worse for Moze when he called one of the top officers' cell phone at Kajansi Police and the caller tune was a Chameleone's Valu Valu song. Police responded to him that his file had been forwarded to the DPP nd were waiting for a response.
Moze Radio's partner, Weasel is silent over the matter. He will instead be joining other family members today in a meeting which will be attended by Jose Chameleone to discuss a way forward.
As you may all be aware that the intruder who broke into Chameleone's house passed on after succumbing to serious injuries he sustained from the singer's house in Sseguku and since then, the police has been handling the matter and are yet to forward the file to the Director of Public Prosection (DPP) for advise.
Fellow artistes have been talking but not wanting to be quoted but one of them who happens to be Moze Radio who was once his back up vocalist back in the days has come out and he is on record and this is what he had to say:
"Chameleone, Chameleone, Chameleone...u almost killed my brother...u beat up Weasel in Rouge...u kidnapped a man from Masaka..n now you are telling the whole world mbu yo wife scared a thief so much dat he set himself on fire!!!! Joseph Joseph..I hope u still remember wat I told u...stop living dangerously...obudde bugendelera... meaning that time is rushing, its high time you acted your age"
This message has got the likes of Kasuku who recently got a beating from Chameleone's wife excited to the extent that he might even forget about his particular case and just monitor this one.
Meanwhile, Chameleone who recently cancelled his tour to Dubai has resorted to local shows but even for the local shows you must have paid up in full for him to perform.
In the last days of the previous year, he was selling like a hot cake but revellers at Calendar Restaurant in Makindye had it rough when the singer showed up but did not perform due to some unpaid balance, the organiser ordered for the gates to be locked so the star could not get out but being the Chameleone he is, he left his Toyota Regius car behind and jumped over the wall to his next destination.
The Moto-Moto star Jose Chameleone is being investigated by police over Robert Karamagi's death. This followed rumours that Chameleone was held while trying to leave the country.
In a statement from police this evening, It was established that Chameleone together with his bouncers are being investigated but he has not been arrested yet.
"It's true we are investigating Chameleon and his group for the death of one Karamagi at the top singer's house. We have gathered evidence that we are to take to DPP for perusal and legal advice. However, we have not yet arrested him as per now."
Meanwhile, Chameleone's gig in Dubai that was to take place this Saturday has been called off.
Robert Karamagi, the man who broke into Chameleone's house on boxing day before setting himself ablaze was buried on Sunday in Fort Portal. Chameleone has been tight lipped since then and not revealing so much especially to the fans but the Moto-Moto star agrees it is a trying moment for him.
The star started off by wishing his fans and the Leone Island fans a happy new year and went straight to the point. "With all due respect, I have not been quiet about all that is revolving around me for any selfish reasons, It is a trying moment."
Karamagi died from Mulago hospital after sustaining 80% burns to which the Mulago PRO said it was unlikely he could survive and indeed the man later passed on. Relatives to Robert say he had been running errands for Chameleone and he was known to them.
Chamelone on the other hand says: "This man intruded into my house and acted in a self-destructive manner that I can't explain what he had in mind except narrating what I witnessed." Chameleone in his statement off his wall added that:
I contacted police as a responsible citizen after the man threatened my family. Police responded a few minutes after he had set himself ablaze but even when police came, the man was still violent.
Police managed to take him to Kajjansi police and later to Mulago hospital. Karamagi's family members joined him in Mulago hours later and that is when he told them that I was his friend and responsible for his fate.
At the end of it all, Chameleone concluded: "I am born, raised, and will forever be Ugandan,
and I am not above the law! I am encountering a lot of judgement from selfish minds upon this incident but only GOD can judge me."
He then called on to his Leone Islanders to go for work in a Tugende Tukole tone. His wife Daniella Atim together with Chameleone himself have already recorded statements regarding the matter and also detectives were able to look around for all possible clues that could help them in establishing what went wrong and why.
Relatives of the now dead Chameleone attacker are accusing the Moto-Moto singer for having torched the man who succumbed to burn injuries sustained on boxing day at the singer's house in Sseguku.
Robert Kalamagi, a resident of Sseguku was a clothes vendor, a fan and good friend to Chameleone according to family members. Kalamagi's father told journalists at Mulago hospital that when he asked his son why he had set himself ablaze, he denied having done that.
According to Kajjansi DPC, Chameleone will have to explain to them that bit. Chameleone is currently in Juba for a show slated for (Dec 28) though before leaving for Juba, he did not want to comment so much on the matter saying that the police was in charge.
Robert Kalamagi (27) the man who broke into singer Jose Chameleone's house has died from Mulago hospital where he was taken for treatment for the severe wounds he sustained in the botched attack.
Kalamagi broke into Chameleone's house at 1:00am, the time Daniella was making her way to the pantry only to hear footsteps in the sitting room. On going there, she met a man who just stood there saying nothing.
Daniella Called Chamelone to come to her rescue as she demanded for answers from the man who by now had started walking towards one of the corners where he had kept a five-litre jerrycan of petrol.
The man then doused himself with petrol and then also tried to douse Daniella too. He then pulled out his lighter and set himself alight. Kalamagi started screaming for help. Police was called in just in time before he could burn to death.
Multi-award winning Nigerian Duo P-Square are performing in Rwanda-Amahoro Stadium tonight with Uganda's Jose Chameleone. Paul and Peter Okoye used their private jet to fly to Rwanda as our very own Chameleone traveled by Rwanda Air.
The Alingo stars will be performing live in Uganda on December 21, 2012 at the Lugogo Cricket Oval. Tickets will be going for 25k Regular and 75k VIP.
P-Square, President Paul Kagame and Uganda's youngest legislator Proscovia Oromait were named among the Eight most fascinating Africans for the year 2012 by an American Magazine, the Newyorker.
Jose Chameleone's wife is a laid-back person and rarely will you see her appearing in the news unless when she has given birth, graced Chamili's album launch or celebrating her birthday or the husband's birthday.
One Kuku Wazabanga aka Kasuku, the man behind the poll that made Bebe Cool a leading artiste in the past 50 years through his blog post wrote that Chameleone was set to lose his Seguku house to a bank due to a defaulted loan.
In his post, Kasuku wrote that they were investigating the whereabouts of the land title. Daniella who did not seem amused by what she termed as malicious rumours managed to call and told them that she was in possession of the land title.
The Kasuku team was bent on going ahead with their search for the title forcing Daniella to drive to Monitor Publications to show Kuku the original title to counter his allegations.
Kuku was called and he came walking while pulling his trousers up only to see Daniella at the reception who did not waste any time in showing him the land title for the said land. Kuku was like but..but atte you see..and the next thing he realised was a hot slap in the face.
Kuku and Daniella have both opted to sort this out legally. Reacting on the above development, the Doctor had this to say:
"Blaming me for your failure is alleging nonsense against me. I have been on top of the charts for a decade and somehow managed to succeed compared to my age, now whosoever is jealous out there should know that I'm getting better every other day!!
Chameleone concluded that: "I'm seated on my balcony uphill Seguku where the Leone Island come from watching Museveni's convoy pass by. Iam not in debt with any bank as you wish.."

On Tuesday (Nov 13), Daniella Atim Mayanja turned 28 and her birthday celebration was held at Centenary Park based Barbeque Lounge. "Happy Birthday my darling wife Daniella Atim Mayanja, may you live to blow a million candles." Chameleone wrote while inviting friends and fans for the party.
During the open bar party that was partly sponsored by Nile Gold, the couple got so romantic that they could not stop kissing and holding each other as they celebrated the night away. Daniella was given a first class return ticket to Bahamas for one week with a friend of her choice.
On getting to Bahamas, Daniella will stay in a five star hotel and go for sight seeing, shopping plus other attractions while in the Bahamas. Just recently, Chameleone constructed for his wife Daniella Villas which are two self contained apartments that she was free to let out as a way of boosting her income.
Early this year, Jose Chameleone and Daniella Atim were blessed with a baby gal Meanwhile, Daniella's birthday hair cut left many wondering where she got the guts. Daniella is the type who is so reserved that the last thing you would expect from her was to go for a Mario Balotelli hair cut combined with Moses Golola's look-alike arrow.
We like your swagg gal and for now, enjoy your holiday.
It all started with Bebe Cool branding Chameleone Neighbour 'A' and reminding him of how he failed to perform at the olympics and branded Bobi Wine neighbour 'B' for having bought a boat and called it a yacht.
Chameleone retaliated with Daniella Villas to contain the 'Kamwako' star who he referred to as neighbour 'Z' a trick that actually worked because after that we saw Bebe Cool trying to adopt the commercial avenue with Zuena talking of renting out her apartments and then just recently her cake business.
The artistes had kind of kept their low not until the Kamwako launch in November that was held at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds the same venue Chameleone held his Valu-Valu launch. This is now the cause of the current beef after Chameleone's crowd was way bigger than that of Bebe Cool.
Chameleone took to his wall and told his fans of how he was laughing and felt like laughing for the rest of the week. The Moto-Moto singer's laughter was cut short as he had to prepare for his performance at Lugogo Cricket Oval during Sean Paul's Concert.
Chameleone had another show at Club Obligatto on top of being the main curtain raiser at Dutty Paul's show at Lugogo in the same night. It rained heavily that day, and with most fans opting for the international star, Sean Paul, Club Obligato had more empty chairs than fans.
Bebe Cool used the flop opportunity to hit back at Chameleone telling him of how an upcoming artiste was better than him after filling up the same venue to full capacity. On that note, Bebe Cool told Chameleone not open his mouth again.
What followed was Chameleone to be forced to buy a black board to teach his Kiwatule based neighbour a few lessons as seen in the above wall shots. The Kiwatule man did not spare him either.
Jose Chameleone is still laughing but that's all he has to do for now after Bebe Cool's Kamwako launch which by 'their' standards was a flop but for Bobi Wine who has a launch in (10) days, he has this to say.
"In the beginning it was all physical, I even knocked the guy down at one point Naye nawakana. Then we decided to organise our launches on the same dates to see who is who...we did it 3 consecutive times Nga Ela tumusinga hands down Ela nawakana.
Then came the battle of Champions..in his own words he said ''Tukilize Bobi Wine Yasinga'' but 12hrs later, he objected. This time, we agreed to set our concerts on different dates but in the same venue to settle this once and for all.
One of us had his concert, and you saw the numbers plus the empty chairs! We are now waiting for 16th November. Same venue, Kyadondo. How is that folks." Those were the words of Bobi Wine.
During Chameleone's Valu Valu launch, Kyadondo was filled to the brim, Bebe Cool tried with his Kamwako launch but could not measure up to Valu Valu, we are now yet to see Bobi Wine with his Tugambire Ku Jennifer.
The PAM Awards might not be taking place this year but that has not stopped some of our artistes from not only being nominated but also bringing the awards home.
The 10th edition of the Kisima Awards was held yesterday in Nairobi at KICC Tsavo Ballroom and our very own Chameleone was among the winners.
Chameleone might have lost the BEFFTA award to Juliana but he managed to pull this through when he beat TMK, Professor J, Lady Jaydee and Diamond (all from Tanzania) to get the East African Recognition Award through his Valu-Valu hit.
Celebrating his win, Chameleone dashed to his wall and thanked his fans: "Thanks all my fans, we live to inspire good music not words we have won...strictly music not wolox!!!!"
Others in that category included Jackie Chandiru-'Gold Digger' and a one Dynamiq from South Sudan.
Other Ugandans who were nominated in the Kisima Awards were Keko - 'Make You Dance' a track she did with Madtraxx, Juliana and Alicios 'Mpita Njia' under the Collaboration of the year. This was taken by a track 'Gentleman' which was done by P-Unit and Sauti Sol.
The Moto-Moto star Jose Chameleone has advised fellow artistes not to judge others because the same treatment can be used against them. In a message off his wall, Chameleone says:
"Warning: To all artistes out to judge others' failures and music, wise up, wake up and we will judge you too! Leone Island Music Empire."
Much as the message is to all artistes, music pundits think otherwise as one had this to say. This message is directed at WINE and COOL not even Juliana who beat him in the recently concluded BEFFTA Awards features on that list of 'all artistes' Chameleone is referring to.
Chameleone's warning comes at a time when Bebe Cool had just told one publication of how Chameleone is a bad mannered man and he has no problem saying it. He is always bickering over the smallest of things and I don't see eye-to-eye with him because I cannot keep such friendship. Bebe Said.
Chameleone's 'warning' got a response of Big is Big from one who seemed like a staunch Gagamel fan and now that this is a known Bebe Cool's line and a title to one of his tracks, 'Big Size', Chameleone responded promptly:
Big is Big in your eyes! what about David defeating Goliath with three pebbles...when you ask for words they come in, music they grass." Chameleone concluded as he wished a good week to the island family.
Meanwhile, Bebe Cool's Kamwako launch will be held this coming Friday while Bobi Wine's Tugambire Ku Jennifer will be in two weeks time.
The kids may be a few years old but showing all signs of emulating their dad in every way.
Star singer Jose Chameleone who has been busy lately with his international tours shared a pic of his family off his wall to which he says; ''Generation Next, The Mayanja's Mama, Alba, Alfa and Abba love you all, yours DOCTOR"
A fan commented: "This is it..Keep clean Jose this is more than money!!!! The star replied to him that yeah far more than money. The Moto-Moto star has four kids in total. Chameleone had a steamy relationship with Belgian Greant Osea aka Dorotia resulting in their baby Ayla Mayanja but the pair later split.
Inset is Chameleone, Dorotia and Ayla during one of his trips to Brussels. Chameleone's naming order has been any name that starts with A, Bebe Cool follows the alphabet order and he is currently at C with Caysan as the latest addition.
When it comes to the Omubanda Wa Kabaka, Bobi Wine also the Ghetto Gladiator who recently missed sharing the presidential pavilion with Presidents at the Kololo Independence grounds, his kids are named after cities like Kampala and Nairobi.
Through his latest track, 'Tugambire Ku Jenniffer', he is realizing a new set of fans who include tycoons whose structures have been demolished.
Uganda's finest and Africa's number one as declared by Konshens had a splendid performance last Saturday in Stockholm, Sweden as they celebrated Uganda's 50 years of Independence.
Chameleone's grabber statement is: 'Leone Island Tugende Tukole' in which he encourages members of his Leone Island Crew to be hard working. This can be seen from the sweat on his swanky purple shirt.
The fans in Sweden could just not get enough of the 'Valu Valu' hit which was one of those tracks that made Jamaican dance-hall star Konshens to declare him Africa's number one. The two recorded a duet to seal this.
Chameleone's music appeals to all. This did not leave out the Swedish who were seen wearing out their dancing shoes as Chameleone did his thing.
"Thanks to all my fans in Stockholm! 2gether we made it a show on record...Moto Moto Leero." Jose Chameleone was joined by the grand pa of Uganda music Ragga Dee and King Michael.
Star singer Jose Chameleone is at war with a Norwegian promoter who has incurred losses after running ads plus several arrangements ahead of a Chameleone Concert which will now not take place after the Moto-Moto star failed to get a visa.
Apparently, Chameleone is attributing the problem to the promoter and in his wall post he says: "I hate promoters like the one in Norway who fails to get me a visa and then he calls me a thief upon his own failure."
One Hamilton Milton responded to the music heavy weight saying: "It is you and your crew to apply and get a visa yourselves and the promoter can give you airtickets and take care of your accommodation."
He adds that: "How I wish you can be humble enough to apologize to the Norwegians and the Ugandan community in Bergen and Oslo." Chameleone on the other hand is not taking responsibility for any of this and he says that the two parties have a contract and as far as he is concerned, he has not breached anything contained therein.
The promoters claim that they gave Chameleone the invitation letter way back in May 2012 but he only presented it to the visa authorities a week back with Papa Cidy and AK47 names only. They have now vowed to block the singers future performances in Norway.
Singer Jose Chameleone and the butt model Doreen Kabareebe have been a trending item for a greater part of this month but while all this was happening, Daniella was watching that space from Italy.
She is now back from Italy and the first thing on her agenda was to go and check out the Daniella Villas in Bweyogerere. The star who spent last weekend bungee jumping in Jinja had this to say to his critics:
"Welcome back! now let them yap. Our couple is powered by God not cheap talk. To the haterz, me and Daniella are off to Nairobi!!!"
Zuena, Barbie and Daniella are three special women engaged to the top musicians in the land who stay at home taking care of the kids while their husbands make the dime at different gigs in the night.
Zuena Kirema is engaged to Bebe Cool (Moses Ssali) while Barbie (Barbara Itungo) is married to Bobi Wine(Robert Kyagulanyi) and last but not least is Daniella Atim, who is married to Jose Chameleone (Joseph Mayanja).
Daniella keeps at home most of the time taking care of the kids. Barbie on the other hand has been busy managing the One Love Beach, replenishing the second batch of her village belle book let alone ensuring that the Omubanda Wa Kabaka reality show on Bukedde is up and running.
Zuena Cool is into music and has two tracks to her name, 'Owa Boda' and 'Mata', a collaboration with the then Eighton and Rain. This not only makes her a wife to a musician but also a musician.
This type of CV has made Zuena utter some words similar to not comparing her with any other musician's wife as the only thing they have in common is being MARRIED to a musician. Zuena emphasizes the marriage aspect as she even puts it in caps, may be because not so many have witnessed a wedding as big as Bobi Wine and Chameleone.
Barbie's reaction sounded like scripts in a yet to be released book on people who try so hard. "We sometimes wonder why some people deny the obvious when criticised, why they desperately seek for assurance that they are loveable, why they try hard to please others in order to get public attention."
She concludes: "Wonder no more. Such people have low self esteem and they don't believe in themselves. Try hard to accept who you are and never to wish you were somebody else."
Have the wars crossed to the musician's wives!! Watch this space!
It's getting hot in here. The 'Owa Boda' star and former model Zuena Cool also the mother to Bebe Cool's three kidz is advertising a 4-bed roomed house in Kigoowa for rent shortly after Chameleone unveiled Daniella Villas that go for Shs1.2m per month in Bweyogerere.
Zuena says that she's finalizing with the painting and the house will be ready in a months time. She concludes by saying 'Ndisa Butti Sipapa' similar to slow but sure. Appearing on WBS Tv Monday Night Live show, Bebe said that he could have completed his house had it not been the Shs90m that he has sunk in his various charity activities.
Chances are the 4-bed roomed talk has been sparked by Daniella Villas which Chameleone constructed for his wife, Daniella. Zuena has now brought out the Kigoowa house as a way of containing the Villas.
Recently Zuena told her fans that: "Ladies & gentlemen with all due respect plz stop comparing me with other musicians wives, we're very different in terms of background, age, tribe, sense of fashion, likes and dislikes..the only thing we have in common is being married to a musician yes MARRIED. thank you in advance"
Star singer Chameleone's official social network page on facebook that was created in February 2012 has clocked 10,000 likes/fans. and he says the Leone Island family has grown "We're finally 10,000... no ghosts!!"
The star recently bagged Shs150m in the current Moto Moto X-Trail promotion in which
4 out of 8 Nissan X-trails have so far been won by those taking Mirinda, Pepsi or Mountain Dew drinks.
Chameleone unveiled Daniella Villas that were constructed for his wife Daniella Atim as part of Chameleone Investments and he says that is not all, he is yet to unveil more in under a week. Watch that space!
Chameleone showing off Daniella Villas that he built for his wife Daniella to celebrate their love.
As Bebe Cool was on WBS talking about how he met Zuena and his forthcoming album launches let alone justifying why he should get the Shs2.9bn in the Nakumatt shooting, the 'Salute' star was unveiling the Daniella Villas to his fans.
The 'Moto-Moto' star who has been battling with hugging a nude model for the last two weeks and trying to let whoever cared to know that (1). Daniella was in Italy (2). She was not about to divorce put all his problems at the back of his head to usher in the rental villas he constructed for his wife as a way of celebrating their love.
"After not being their at the olympics 2012, time running out at the Africa Unplugged, the nude girl saga, friends, I unveil out of (Chameleone Investments) Daniella Villas, Namboole. Neighbour "Z" wake up.
Bebe Cool referred to him and Bobi Wine as Neighbour (A) and Neighbour (B). Bobi Wine has been busy with the launch of his 'Jennipher' track that seems to be occupying him as he busy convincing all those concerned that he was not singing about the KCCA Executive Director.
On the other hand, Jose Chameleone has been busy with the Moto-Moto launch at the same time digesting model Kabareebe's bum cheeks, so he hadn't responded to the 'Ndisa Buti' star.
While other celebrities are celebrating their birthdays at 25 and working their way downwards, Bebe Cool has just made 35. On 1-Sep-2012, the 'Akamwako' star celebrated his birthday at Asylum bar and later crowned the night at Guvnor.
Zuena who could not hide her excitement had this to say: "Happy birthday to my hubby, friend, father to my angels, my one and only Musa Bebe Cool. I wouldn't ask Allah for a better husband am proud of you and I cherish each day with u. Long live my love."
Amazingly, Bebe Cool is older than Bobi Wine(30), Chameleone(33) though Ragga Dee beats them all at 39. This is the soul reason you will not get Ragga Dee in these cats fights.
Star singer Jose Chameleone has come out for the second time to clarify that his wife and kids are not in Uganda but on holiday in Italy. This follows reports by some sections of the media claiming that Daniella has left the Seguku mansion and is currently staying at her uncle's place in Mutungo.
The whole of last week, pictures of Chameleone with a butt flashing model Doreen Kabareebe were the talk of the town. Close friends to Daniella intimated to some snoops that Daniella actually warned Doreen to keep her 'curves' off her man.
In his latest posting, Chameleone says: "It is a pity how media is telling lies for money. I'm clearing the air, my beautiful wife Abba, Alfa and Alba are not in Mutungo as alleged by the media.
My family is on holiday in Italy and not bothered by the rubbish haters are trashing! Please respect people's families. My family please enjoy your holiday, no stress."
Chameleone who last performed in Brussels on Saturday is yet to join his family in Italy. and has termed the split talk as utter rubbish. "Daniela and I are still together and as much in love with each other as we have always been...My wife is much too wise to be upset by something as petty as that. She loves me, understands me more than any other person in the world and supports me in whatever I do." Chameleone said.
The 'Salute' star Jose Chameleone is on the spot after the pic of him and a butt revealing model went viral.
The music doctor has been forced to speak out and he says: ''People should not attach this girls dressing to me, I'm not her fashionista" This statement got reactions seconds after and among them was Andre Skillz who said:
"I'm still struggling to make sense out of your statement! And come on you can give a better defense than that, Is that really the best you got? Chameleone said that's all and the rest is to my wife."
Jose Chameleone got to a point of referring whoever was making this an issue to a fag. "I've got a very strong family that understands me other than any fag making this an issue." As all this is going on Chameleone's wife Daniella and the kids are on holiday in Italy.
Close friends to Daniella say that she has already warned Doreen to stop rubbing shoulders with her husband. Doreen's attitude initially was ''I don't Care'' but that has long changed as she is now claiming she was backstage dressing.
"Those who criticized me on that dress, I was backstage dressing en besides those who matter accept me that way." Doreen wrote on her wall. She also clarified to a pal that:"I was dressing up from the backstage to go and model and among all the models, its only me they could see."
Africa Unplugged is the music festival that unites Africa on one stage with over 15 top artistes from the continent. Jose Chameleone was the only artiste who represented Uganda much as he did not perform due to time constraints.
The function that was supposed to start at 5pm to 11pm started a bit late that the long list of artistes could not be accommodated in the allotted time. Other top artistes who did not perform include Mr. Flavour the 'Ashawo' star from Nigeria and Fally Ipupa among others.
The star has gone ahead to apologize to his fans for having failed to perform and promises to make it next time. Chameleone also blamed the organisers for the mess. The star who is always on the move and never runs out of options has already switched to his plan 'B'.
On 1-Sep-2012, Chameleone will be performing at the finals of Miss East Africa Belgium 2012 with Rwanda's Knowless and Ray Blaze from Nigeria.
Jose Chameleone has for the last 12 years been doing music tackling various topics that have had a great impact on many of his fans across East Africa.
The star has now changed tactics by coming up with his latest song Moto Moto which doubles as a pressure group aimed at urging people to work hard as opposed to waiting for others to do work for them.
Moto Moto Pressure Group is free for everyone to join. Moto is a swahili word meaning 'fire' representing the heat that is being felt by Ugandans through the hard economic times. Jose Chameleone is borrowing a leaf from other countries that have used music as a tool to achieve their cause.
Chameleone is now planning a mega launch for the song in which more details on how to join the pressure group will be unveiled.
Bobi Wine after unleashing the boat said 'Kano Katandika Butandisi' meaning the show is just getting started.
Yesterday, we told of how Bebe Cool attacked his 'neighbours' in which one failed to perform at the Olympics and the other bought a canoe and was yet to start fishing at Busabala Beach.
Fans assured him to leave fellow singers alone as he was contradicting messages in his very own tracks like Minzani and Kamwako among others. Bebe was also told that he is good but Chameleone is by far and large better than him in music and could not even measure up to Bobi's assets.
This did not go down well with Zuena(Bebe's wife) who started unfriending all those who were talking ill of the 'Akamwako' star. Some of Zuena's friends who had been scrapped off that title had started complaining.
Zuena wondered: "Abange if you dislike my husband or his music & I unfriend you, why do you fuss, behind every successful man there is a supporting woman." Bebe Cool did not waste any time in responding to his wife:
"Hhahaha Luv wange, vakundinga ezo. tebamanyi gwebalumba, njakubaezo embuuzi" translated as"My love leave them as they don't know who they are dealing with, I will beat those goats"
Meanwhile, Bobi Wine's wife Barbie Itungo is busy promoting Bobi Wine's latest track 'Obuvuka' with a theme of you reap what you sow and posting more boat pictures while Chameloene's wife Daniella Atim is busy taking care of the kids.
Local music star Bebe Cool who is fresh from Germany has started off by dissing fellow singers Jose Chameleone and Bobi Wine referring to them as Neighbour A and Neighbour B. In his latest posting, Bebe Says:
"I once had two neighbours (A) and (B) four months ago, neighbour A told me he was going to rap at the Olympics faster than Usain Bolt. Neighbour (B) not wanting to be out-done, told us he had bought a canoe and he was yet to buy a fishing net. All this was simply Air. What is your take on the neighbours."
Now looking at how events have been unfolding (A) is Chameleone who recently went on strike after his passport was held in Tanzania and among others, he said that he wanted his passport back as he was slated to perform at the closing ceremony of the Olympics. Stephen Kiprotic took the moment. Chamelone is now saying that confiscating his passport led to delays in securing a visa.
On the other hand (B) is Bobi Wine who made headlines with a boat that he is valuing at $750,000 while other sources are claiming the boat is actually for Sudhir's daughter. This is fresh and we are yet to see how the 'Neighbours' will treat this.
Chameleone in his latest track 'Salute' referred to them as 'Ba Bigambo boys' as they kept trading insults in 'By Far' VS 'Big Mouth by Far songs' Chameleone also reminds them that its' been 12 years when the name Chamelone is the one that rules the industry.
Since Bebe Cool was asking for views on what the fans thought of his analysis of his 'neighbours', the fans did not disappoint but the majority told him that it would be wise if he left Chameleone out of the bickering.
These were some of the views:
Kizito Kizman: Neighbour A is better than you in music and Neighbour B is better than you in money and assets by far.
Ian Omukoowu: "Sit down and listen to your song 'Akamwako'

Last Thursday saw Jose Chameleone demonstrating at the Tanzanian Embassy over his passport that had been confiscated by a one Eric Shigongo over US$3,500 that went missing after George Mugabo approached Eric as Chameleone's manager.
Chameleone later went to Eric to demand for his dues only to be told that someone who masqueraded as his manager had been paid. This is when the passport was confiscated for close to a month.
All efforts of getting the passport back had failed so like a chameleon, he devised other means. He went to the Tanzanian Embassy where he held a peaceful demonstration. This got the IGP Lt. Gen Kale Kayihura involved and the passport was flown to the country within two hours.
The latest info coming in is that Eric Shigongo of Global Publishers has apologized to the singer for mishandling his business issues and promised not to do it again Eric concluded by saying that he is coming over to Uganda to pursue the suspect in the courts of law.
Chameleone's peaceful protest at the Tanzanian Embassy yesterday paid off because as we file this, the star is all smiles and ready to travel to any destination after his passport was delivered by Air Uganda yesterday.
Chameleone stormed the Tz embassy in the wee hours of yesterday with his beddings protesting the confiscation of his passport prompting the intervention of Inspector General of Police Lt. Gen. Kale Kayihura.
It was a matter of hours and the self acclaimed Doctor's passport was on the next flight for Uganda. The star later posted on his wall that:"I'm Dr. Chameleone the Undisputed" The star will be rocking South Africa on the 03-Aug-2012.
This morning star singer Jose Chameleone drove his Range Rover Sport and parked it right at the Tanzania High Commission with his mattress, guitar with placards demanding one Shigongo Eric to return his passport.
Shigongo is the promoter who contracted him to perform in Tanzania which he did but Chameleone's manager and another conman only identified as George, Shigongo lost USD3,500.
The star who had just performed in Rwanda - Amahoro Stadium simply dashed to the Tanzanian Embassy for a peaceful demonstration to compel them to help in retrieving his passport.
A team of police officers in a police pick-up UP-2627 came to the scene and pleaded with him to stop the demonstration. The star later had a meeting with the Inspector General of Police who promised to work hand in hand with their counter parts in Tanzania to have the matter resolved.
We recently told of how Jose Chameleone had performed in Tanzania after four years from the time he sleep walked off the third floor damaging his legs seriously. Tanzanian fans at the Saba Saba stadium loved the Valu Valu flow.
However, the Tanzanian ghosts are not sleeping as they are still haunting him and now his performance in South Africa and the UK(Olympics opening ceremony) hang in balance after a one Eric Shigongo, CEO of Global Publishers, the company that hired him to perform in TZ confiscated his passport over US$3500 which is approximately Ugx 8.5m.
According to Chameleone, that money was swindled by a one George in Kampala who he managed to track and forwarded to police but was released later under circumstances that were not clear to him.
Jose Chameleone tried to reach out to the Tanzanian Embassy here in Uganda over the matter but did not get that much help. "I have upcoming performances in South Africa, England, Belgium, Norway, Canada etc, so is Eric Shigongo above the law to keep my passport illegally for over a month?"
Chameleone has now abandoned his house and is heading to the Tanzanian Embassy where he will camp to the time when Eric surrenders his passport to the Ugandan Government. Watch this Space!
Musicians and film makers held a meeting with the Kampala Metropolitan boss Andrew Kaweesi at the National Theatre yesterday protesting those that pirate their music.
This followed the tax body Uganda Revenue Authority issuing notices to some of the big names in the industry to pay taxes out of their recently held shows. Musicians retaliated by saying that they will not pay the said taxes if their music is being pirated.
The police boss promised to enforce the crack down. A few weeks back, policemen and members of the Uganda Performing Right Society (UPRS) were faced with resistance as the tried to crack down on the music pirates down town.
The Anti-piracy protest lasted several hours that when Chameleone saw a mango vendor within the vicinity, he called the lady who put the mangoes right on top of the bonnet of the BMW that was donated to him by Meddie Ssentongo.
The star who was very hungry at the time did not waste any minute in crushing the nutritiously rich fruit which was not even ripe.
Uganda's music heavy weight Jose Chameleone was yesterday performing at Saba Saba National Stadium in Tanzania doing most of his hits but the crowd's favourite was Valu Valu. The last time the star was in Tanzania was four years back in which he sleep walked from the third floor of Impala hotel in Arusha breaking his legs.
The star will be in Rwanda on Jul 14 at the Amahoro Stadium and on the 27 and 28 July, he will be in Democratic Republic of Congo. Early August, Jose Chameleone will be in South Africa and on the 27 Aug, the star will be representing Uganda in the Africa Unplugged show with Cabo Snoop in Wembley London.
A few weeks back, Uganda Revenue Authority froze Eagles Productions accounts in Centenary Rural Development Bank after it discovered that the band members had evaded taxes for long.
The tax body is now closing in on other top artistes like Bobi Wine, Bebe Cool and Jose Chameleone who could lose some of their property as the tax body tries to recover the taxes the singers have not remitted in the various shows over time.
The artistes have not paid Value Added Tax (VAT) on their album launches and concerts. According to a source from URA; "Chameleone is in trouble because he has so far refused to clear the Shs9m dues for the Valu Valu album launch alone. A notice ordering him to pay it as soon as possible has also been sent to him."
Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine have not yet paid taxes on the recent successful Battle of the Champions that was held at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds. The artistes have to clear their dues very soon or else URA could attach their posh rides, mansions and land titles.
Three months back we told of how East Africa's best and Africa's no.6 had bought a Range Rover after the successful Valu Valu Concert.
The ride came in at the time when the Yutong Pioneer buses were being driven around Kampala without number plates but now the buses have number plates and so is Chamili's ride.
The doctor of music has put on 'DOCTOR' customized number plates on his latest ride.
Meanwhile, Chameleone turned down the battle between him and Bobi Wine, Bebe Cool and the Goodlyfe Boys combined as he is looking at bigger things.
The father of four has instead opted to battle it out with Africa's top artistes in Wembley Stadium this coming August. He is also slated to perform at the opening ceremony of the Olympics 2012 in London.
The names parents were giving to their children 30 to 40 years back were very simple names like Robert for Bobi Wine, Joseph for Chameleone and Moses for Bebe Cool. Very interesting indeed and had they left them that way, chances are some could be unheard of.
Children of this generation are not gettingnames like it was back then. Below we take you through the names some od our stars have given their children.
Bebe Cool - Zuena welcomed a bouncing baby boy three days back who happens to be their third child with Bebe Cool. These ones have decided to go about it the alphabet way. Alpha is the first born followed by their only girl Beata and now another boy Caysan.
Jose Chameleone - Exactly three months back Daniella gave birth to their third child who they named Alba Shyne Mayanja. Their first born is Abba Marcus Mayanja. Now looks like this one has gone for names starting with 'A'
Bobi Wine - Now the Omubanda wa Kabaka's is out of the box. He named his kids after cities. His first born is Kampala, and the second one is Nairobi. Their latest was given the Shilling name may after running out of cities that they could embrace.
Juliana Kanyomozi - For the lady musicians it has been nice and polite. Juliana's son with her ex is called Keron Lukwago.
Cindy - The former Blu3 member had 3 items on her agenda last year and one was to give birth, launch an album and have Mario put a ring on her finger. She achieved the first two and now fingers crossed for the wedding. Cindy named her first born Amani. Just next door in Kenya, we have a Kenyan artiste who goes by that name and when she hits stage, all the front row guests are treated to a 'VIP' show of sorts.
Lillian - The former Blu3 member has a child with Goodlyfe member Moze Radio and was given Asanti as the name which is a Swahili word meaning Thank You.
Last month Jose Chameleone's Luwero Valu Valu show at Bukenya Foundation Hall did not take place after he failed to perform due to the poor sound system.
According to Chamili the equipment was not properly configured to give that output as he required so not wanting the fans to confuse the bad output with his music, he refused to perform.
The fans pleaded with him to perform but the star refused to perform as long as the DJ's did not do something about the output. This was even made worse when the generator failed to work.
This sent the fans into throwing stones and destroying everything in their way. Police had to come in to quell the situation though several items were destroyed as the fans were protesting the move.
The latest is that Chameleone's music equipment which was confiscated over a month back can only be released after he pays the proprietor of Bukenya Foundation Shs15m which is an estimate of the loss out of the broken chairs and beers.
Meanwhile, Jose Chameleone and his wife Daniella were yesterday in Bina church where his father in law Fr. John Scalabrini was given a new name of Mutebi Ssalongo which seems to be simpler for the locals to pronounce.
Fr. Scalabrini seemed to be amused with Chamili's braided hair style.
A few days back Weasel Doug was letting the Londoners to be ready for the Goodlyfe Duo this Easter but as it turns out, they will not be going to the UK after they were denied visas. Instead Ragga Dee, Eddie Kenzo, Jose Chameleone, Papa Cidy, AK47 will be performing in the UK during the Easter period.
Jose Chameleone was so happy over the European tour that he could not hide his excitement. Right from Entebbe Airport, he was seen blocking the plane stairs as he took photos of this memorable moment. It is understandable as Jose was last in the UK six years back.
Meanwhile, Eddie Kenzo is all smiles after the Goodlyfe boyz were denied visas to the UK. Jose Chameleone and the other Leone Island members will perform at concerts dubbed "The Return of the Living Legend" in Coventry Leeds and London.
Jose Chameleone is the latest to join the Range Rover Sport family following the successful Valu Valu live concert. The singer who upgraded the wife's car from a Harrier to BMW X5 series was seen driving it around the nite spots last Wednesday.
The grey Range Rover like the Pioneer buses was being driven without a number plate. The star is likely to customize it with 'Valu Valu' registration number. The Valu Valu concert was a success unlike the Luweero fans who did not get a feel of it after Chameleone refused to perform citing poor sound of the equipment.
Balaam Barugahare, the promoter who sponsored the Valu Valu Concert made losses in Luwero estimated at 17m. He has now put conditions for Chameleone not to go to the UK where he is scheduled to perform during Easter so he can be part of Balaam's Easter shows.
The Ranger Rover move is an assurance to Balaam that he has enough money now that the ride cost him 200m before taxes. Watch this space!
The show started at 9:00pm and went on to 1:00pm. MC Kats and Salvador were the MCs of the night
It was a rainy evening but this did not stop the fans from hitting the venue early enough. Kyadondo Rugby Grounds was fully packed for the Valu Valu Live show as Chameleone fully dressed in military attire hit the stage at 10:00pm.
He took off a moment to remember scores that died at the spot during the July 2010 Kampala bombs.
"I would like to dedicate this concert to the souls of those that died here and those that were injured, we are with you our brothers and sisters. We are Ugandans and no one, not even terrorists should threaten us in our country."
Being the Chameleone he is, he did not leave out his fellow artistes. Even though Kyadondo is full, some people are still missing like Bebe Cool and Zuena, Bobi Wine and Barbie, Moze Radio and Weasel, there presence would be a good thing so we enjoy the music together.
Shida Za Dunia, Nekolera Mali, Bomboclat, Basiima Ogenze, Mukisa Gwo, Bayuda, Technology and collabos with Papa Cidy were among the tracks he played that were in the range of 25-30 tracks or there about.
Other artistes who helped the music giant to bring the night down were Navio, Jackie Chandiru, Ragga Dee and Eddie Kenzo among others.
The Valu Valu show will today shift to Mukono and tomorrow in Entebbe.
Just recently we told you of how Chameleone was into things after landing a Samsung deal that would see him appear on their billboards plus other TV and Radio adverts. That was not all, a mobile cell phone named after him was to be launched too.
Confirming the technology in him just like one of his tracks dubbed Chamili Chamili Technology, he unveiled the phone that is likely to be given to lucky fans during the Valu Valu Concert.
The year 2012 so far is just amazing for the East African music giant. A few weeks back, his wife Daniella Mayanja gave birth to a bouncing baby girl and to this he upgraded her car from a black Toyota Harrier to a Black BMW X5 series as a gift. Way to go!!!

With less than a week to the Valu Valu Concert, Jose Chameleone is asking his fans what their favorite song is! of course he is trying to compile his playlist for the coming shows but what was surprising were the songs that turned out to be the most loved at least from 70 of his followers in just an hour of that post.
Over 31 tracks were listed and Valu Valu was the one with most likes and mentions but the mere fact that Valu Valu is Chameleone's latest, we decided to leave it out and consider those that are relatively old but still on people's minds.
'Shida Za Dunia' was released in the year 2006 but six years later, it still has ardent followers. It was slightly below Valu Valu followed by 'Jamila' and 'Mama Mia.' Tracks like 'Bayuda', 'Beyi Kali', 'Befuula', 'Basiima Ogenze' and 'Dorotia' had at least more than three mentions.
Interestingly, his first track 'Bageya' that was done ten years back could feature on the list. You can watch Jamila and Shida Za Dunia on YouTube from the links below:

Wife to Bebe Cool Zuena Kirema might be in the US waiting to give birth to their third child but she is still in touch with home and following events in spite of being very heavy. She congratulated Daniella on giving birth to a beautiful daughter Alba Shyne Mayanja.
"Congratulations Daniella Atim Mayanja upon the birth of yo baby girl Alba, may the almighty keep blessing u & yo little one. Am really happy for u dear." Zuena wrote on her wall. Now you can clearly tell that from the message, Zuena is happy for Daniella.
In August last year, Jose Chameleone beat up Bebe Cool before converting to Islam but Bebe Cool termed all that as publicity stunts aimed at garnering him (Jose) coverage. In spite of all that, the wives wish each other well.
Bobi Wine and Barbie seem not to be bothered by this and they continue to go about their chores normally.
The year 2012 is so far so good for Jose Chameleone. His Valu Valu concert slated for Mar 02 has been bought by music promoter Balam Barugahara, his lovely wife Daniella Mayanja gave birth to their first daughter Alba SHYNE Mayanjaa few days back and more is yet to unfold.
Just recently we told of how his customized phones were in the offing now the latest information before us is that Jose Chameleone has got the Samsung deal similar to that of Didier Drogba.
The deal will commence in April. This is the same team that is planning to brand a phone in Chameleone's name. Jose was chosen based on his popularity.
Jose Chameleone's wife Daniella Atim Mayanja has given birth to a bouncing baby girl called Alba Shyne Mayanja. The Valu Valu star is all in a jovial mood as he prepares for the Valu Valu Concert.
Jose and Daniella now have three children two boys and the latest being a girl. According to Jose, the baby and mom are doing just fine at Nsambya hospital.
Jose Chameleone has taken business to another level. Just after releasing the video for his latest hit Valu Valu whose concert is slated for March 02 after it was bought off by music promoter Balaam Barugahara, he has now partnered with one of the Telecom companies to make Chameleone mobile phones.
The phones will be on sale and giveaways to fans. The phones are likely to be popular now that the star has made a decade in the music industry and still counting. Hits like Mama Mia, Jamila and Mama Rhoda, among others are old but still sound fresh.
The Valu Valu Concert will be his latest after the Vumilia and Bayuda launch. Last year, he tried to convert to Islam and a week later changed his mind leaving by his name 'Chameleon' but in spite of all that coupled with controversies here and there, that has not stopped him from releasing hit after hit.
The Valu Valu star Jose Chameleone will be launching his latest album on March, 02 the same day upcoming artiste Chris Evans will be launching his at Club Obligato. The upcoming artiste was seen on one of the local TV's shedding tears for what he termed as unfairness of the big boys in the industry.
Chris Evans took the PAM Awards Upcoming Artiste of the Year. Some unconfirmed reports have it that Jose Chameleone had decided to reschedule the date but his promoter Balaam insisted that the show takes place on the set date.
It has been a very serious debate on one local station with many saying that Jose Chameleone should give chance to the upcoming artiste. What is disturbing is why these two were even compared.
They have totally different followings which should not affect their audiences. Chameleone has over 10 years in the music industry and some are wondering why this is even an issue.
It's quite amazing and good news to hear that the two top musicians have been busy lately and not just sleeping as their wives are expecting. Zuena left the country for the US before Christmas to go and deliver there.
Bebe Cool had earlier on told whoever cared to listen that Zuena was to deliver twins but this was ruled out in her posting to mark 10 years with the dread locked star when she said.."We make ten years together with 2 kids and one is on the way..."
On the other hand, Jose Chameleone has bought Daniella a BMW as a present for having a daughter in the pipeline. They have two boys Abba and Alpha Mayanja. Jose has a daughter with his first wife called Ayla Mayanja.
Bebe Cool on the other hand goes by the ABC ...order while choosing baby names. Alpha is the first born followed by Beata and now the search for the 'C' name is on.
Jose Chameleone's wife is pregnant. Daniella was spotted at Club Rouge during the Swagger Party in which Chamili's latest track Valu Valu was unveiled. This will be Daniella's third child and Chameleone's fourth.
Chameleone has a daugther with ex Belgium wife Graent Osea aka Dorotia.
Jose Chameleone also the Leone Island boss signed a five year contract with an online music businessman for only Shs5m for a period of five years and according to insider information, the businessman is already in multi millions courtesy of a song that was sold to a telecom company.
The singer is now in consultations with legal experts on how to get out of the deal but it looks like he has to wait until the five years are over based on the contents in the small print.
It's not the first time when the star is signing bad contracts. One time he signed up one with a top telecom company and in the process lost millions of shillings as he was not supposed to perform at certain functions.
Last Saturday all roads led to UMA show grounds which was the venue for the 9th PAM Awards. The function kicked off at about 6:00pm and ended a few minutes past 1:00am on Sunday. Gold tickets were going for Shs 200,000 bronze tickets Shs120,000 and the bona balabe or regular was going for Shs 30,000.
At the end of the event Iryn Namubiru emerged as the PAM Awards Artiste of the year 2011. Bebe Cool was one of the top artistes who graced the event but we now bring you some of the top artistes who snubbed the event.
Jose Chameleone - Nominated in three categories but only got Best Afro Beat/Artiste Group but did not bother attending like he has done for the last so many years. That has not stopped him from releasing non stop hits. The other award he also got was the one that Bebe Cool dedicated to Jose, Bobi Wine and the Goodlyfe boys for having snubbed the function.
Moze Radio and Weasel - They took the award of the Best Afro Beat courtesy of their Talk n Talk song. After minutes of waiting and confirming that they were not around, Straka swung into action by saying "Wabula Agayaaye ago tegawoneka" meaning that not even an award would convince them to attend. They however attended last year and during the final PAM Awards bash they were present.
Peter Miles - The Oja star also self proclaimed king of dance hall did not show up despite being nominated in the category of Best Ragga Artiste.
Desire Luzinda - Curvy Desire Luzinda was not any where close to the PAM Awards venue. It's like the second tie in a row when she is not being nominated in any category
Juliana - It is not clear what happened to the PAM Awards 2008 artiste of the year and the first female artiste to kiss the main accolade. During the bash that launched the PAM Awards at Club Le Beaujolais, Juliana attended the function sending a clear message that she was on the same page with the organizers but wappi, she was nowhere to be seen. She is in the country because a few days back she was performing with Kenny Lattimore at the Qatar Airways Launch.
Bobi Wine - The last time he sent his wife as he claimed that he was performing at a different function, but from the time Barbie graced the event and came back empty handed even after the husband had been nominated in several categories, the two have vowed never to come close to the awards. This is what happened on Nov.5.2011 as Bobi and Barbie were nowhere to be seen. Bobi Wine's ?Matyansi Butyampa's video lost to ex Blu3's Jackie Chandiru's 'Agassi'
Something should be terribly wrong with Jose Chameleone and he will stop at nothing to make news. He has been in the news for having converted to Islam only to make a U turn 36 hours later.
The Catholic Church has insisted the star should undergo training for close to two years before he can be accepted back to the church. Before the dust could settle over the Islam saga, Chameleone went to Club Rouge and straight on started beating Bebe Cool.
Bebe Cool in his words said; "I cannot believe JOSE CHAMELEON entered rouge & started fighting me his maker after all I have done for this chap now I accept a lost chap is a lost chap, I will never protect CHAMELEON again am not surprised he's fighting me coz he needs the front page more than anybody. ma advise to u Chameleon sing music coz i've got a lot in stock watch yo skin."
Other sources seem to have it that this fight stems from Bobi Wine's wedding. Bebe Cool's camp was trying to pursuade Chameleone's Leone Island Crew not to attend Bobi Wine's forthcoming wedding and that is how one thing led to the other.
Jose who will be launching his Omukisa Gwo at Hotel Africana this Saturday posted this on his wall; "You are not even ashamed to declare me an enemy because Iam going for Bobi's Wedding? BEBE STYLE UP. We are not as young as yesterday. Shame on your Mouth and jealousy deeds."
Bebe Cool will be performing in the UK on Saturday at Troxy, 490 Commercial road during the Ugandan Convention UK. He will perform with Eddie Kenzo, Bella, Mesach Semakula and his wife Zuena.
The pressure has been too much for the music star to handle after he converted to Islam last Friday. Jose Chameleone had even changed his name to Jaffar Gadaffi Mayanja on converting. Two days later, Chameleone's wife and the two kids packed their bags and left the music star all by himself.
In a meeting chaired by his mom who stood by him throughout this time and a few relatives, they reached an agreement that Chameleone goes to Bbina Church this Sunday and denounces the Islamic faith as a sign that he is back to the Catholic faith. In the meeting, you could clearly see Chameleone disturbed.
Chameleone has been through a lot from the time he walked into the Kibuli Mosque. Initially, he thought he was only going for Juma prayers just like many politicians do but when they asked him to come and address the people, he became overwhelmed and recited the Shahad prayer that coverts one to being a moslem.
His dad was so furious to the extent that he stopped him from using the family name, Mayanja. Daniella was clear that the man she had married was a Catholic and not a Muslim, so she left Chameleone's home to the time when he could denounce that faith, and then go back to his home.
Chameleone's in-laws also supported Daniella with the actions she took after last Friday event. Chameleone was however quick at distancing himself from allegations that this was a publicity stunt.
The music star said that he has launched a number of albums and he did not have to do anything but people still came in large numbers. Star Jose wedded his longtime girl friend Daniella Atim on June 7, 2008 from Bbina Catholic Church. The two are blessed with two boys Abba Marcus Mayanja and Alfa Mayanja.

Jose Chameleone and his wife have converted to Islam and were seen at Kibuli Mosque last Friday cruising in different cars. Jose will stop at nothing to make news. He has been in the news over his change of names, cars, horse, house, videos and music among others.
Now it is his religion. Jose and wife were practicing Catholicism before this and they tied the knot from a catholic church. It is not clear if this is one of those stunts to keep in the limelight. Just last week we told of how Zuena tried a come back telling her fans how she is a cocktail of breeds.
She wrote that; ''My mum is half Tanzanian and half Arab from Oman and my Dad is half Munyankole from Rukungiri and half Tutsi from Rwanda." This was after Barbie's tattoo had even won a slot on the front page in one of the leading daily newspaper.
Some people have even gone ahead to suggest that Jose could be pulling this move to counter the publicity Bobi Wine is getting over his wedding that will be held on August 27.
Now this is not funny. As predicted Chameleone was to defy the doctors and go out on various Easter shows that were being advertised. The money was so tempting that the Bayuda Star had to fall for it. If Chameleone had kept indoors during the Easter season, he could have lost close to 20m.
A few weeks back, metals were removed from his leg and was advised to have ample rest but Dr. Chameleone simply rubbished all this and took to the stage. He was in Entebbe Resort Beach for Easter when a group of guys attacked him and hit the legs where it hurt most and also cut his hand with a bottle.
Jose had to take off to Kitooro police station which happened to be in the vicinity but he injured his legs the more. He was later taken to a clinic to treat a wound he had just sustained on his arm.
The star never ceases to amuse, there after he made his way back to the venue just because he did not want to let down his fans and one Mr. Chopper who had hired him. On Easter Monday, his leg was bleeding profusely but he still wanted to go to Masaka for a performance and then back to Kiwatule to join Bebe Cool for the East African Carnival.
There were a number of artistes to perform during Easter so Chameleone asked his manager to find out what time they will be performing. The manager came back to Chameleone and informed him that after three artistes have performed, it will be them to perform, so Chameleone made his way to the back stage but as he went through the crowd, one person who he initially thought was a fan jumped on him and grabbed his neck.
Chameleone was able to over power him. He asked Chameleone that can I have my things? Chameleone wondered what things this guy was talking of! Within no time, bottles were flying all over the place that the star got hit on the arm. It was his bouncers that came to his rescue at this time as the crowd was closing in on Chameleone. The case has been registered at Entebbe Police Station under file no: SD 21/04/2010.
The huge metals in Dr. Jose Chameleone's leg were removed following powerful stage performances that made them loose. He will stay at Nsambya hospital for at least three days. The metals were inserted in his feet to enable him walk after he allegedly sleep walked from the fourth floor of his hotel room in Arusha, Tanzania in the year 2008.
Initially Jose had feared to be operated on but later agreed and a total of 15 metals were removed. Bebe Cool is one of the artistes who convinced him to go for the operation now that he had equally had several operations done on him the previous month.
Jose Chameleone's wife Daniella and Jose's Parents were all there to give him support and comfort. Jose's only worry is being held in hospital and yet he feels the urge to perform and several shows have been announced and he thinks he should be their and not disappoint his fans.
Related: Chameleone to be Operated on Today
Singer Dr. Jose Chameleone is back in Nsambya Hospital after several nails in his leg moved from their original positions while he was performing. In October 2008, He allegedly fell off a building while in Tanzania. Several operations were made on him and was given a wheel chair and advised to rest for several months.
The star defied the doctors advise and went ahead to stage the Bayuda Concert 2 months after his accident. Mid last month he held his 'Basiima Ogenze' launch which involved staging various shows.
A few days back, he was performing in Lyantonde and noticed a piercing pain in his leg but since he is "Chamili Atagenda'' he ignored the pain and being a doctor he is, he continued treating his patients with Chamiliology music therapy.
Later in the night, the pain intensified and the star had to seek services of a masseuse. This did not seem to work either forcing him to go for a thorough check up that revealed that most of the nails in his leg had moved from their positions.
Jose Chameleone was in South Africa where he had gone for the World Cup photo shoot adverts and World Cup song. Star QT Designs, a label by Stella Nankya a Ugandan were one of the stylists. She will be launching her products this August. GNL, Jamal and Kandiba Akabadi star have featured her clothes in their videos.
Jose Chameleone and Bebe Cool started their music careers in Kenya 10 years back and after that long it is clear what each of them has done when it comes to the music circles in Uganda. He makes it a point that each year that passes by he releases an album.
The last five years have seen him release Kipepeo, Shida Za Dunia, Katupakase, Bayuda and now Basiima Ogenze. Interestingly, all his albums have a blend of their own. Ten years on the music scene and still dominating is no easy task especially when all the back up artists have turned out to be fully fledged artistes and competitors.
Bebe Cool was very supportive in the Bayuda Launch but this time round it was not possible as Bebe Cool was shot in the thighs five times by a police man at Centenary Park parking making it hard for him to support Chamili physically. He was however determined to be available at the show but his wounds opened up.
Zuena insisted Bebe should not attend the show as he was in serious pain after the injuries he sustained during the rehearsals for Basiima Ogenze concert. That aside, Bebe Cool was in serious Radio Ads as he drummed up support for Jose Chameleone atagenda.
Last Friday had one of the best crowds in the year as Jose Chameleone launched his Basiima Ogenze in which he appeared in a police uniform as a way of supporting Bebe Cool who was shot by a policeman.

The king of dance hall Beenie the Man is likely to perform alongside R.Kelly on the 29.Jan.2010. R.Kelly called Beenie Man asking him about Uganda and (Beenie) retaliated with how lovely the audience in Uganda is. Kelly then proceeded with asking Beenie Man if he would love to be part of the show for next month. Beenie Man simply said: "It would be a great honour"
2010 is likely to see more of these international stars with Zain kicking off with R.Kelly it is also rumoured that MTN is thinking of bringing in Lionel Richie.
Jose Chameleone and Beenie Man did a collabo together which is likely to be released during his album launch slated for January next year with Beenie Man gracing the occasion.
Jose Chameleone survived being shot at yesterday afternoon. He happened to stop by a petrol station on Bombo road known by the Kobil brand and while there he fueled his vehicle. Being an artiste he is the pump attendants demanded that he sings for them which he did after paying for his fuel to the tune of 100,000/- in denominations of 50,000/- each.
At the time they were with his wife Daniella Atim who happened to be driving, so as they were driving off the pump attendant hit the car from behind asking them to stop as one of the notes tendered in were fake. Jose ordered his wife to drive on as they were rushing to one of the clinics in Wandegeya.
On their way back, a Kobil guard stopped them and the two simply drove off ignoring him. The guard decided to pursue them on a motor bike or "boda-boda". That part of Kampala road was in a bit of a jam, something that favoured the guard on the boda-boda to catch up with the Ba Yuda star around King Fahd.
The guard asked Chameleone to stop and to this the star outrightly objected. He almost knocked him prompting the guard to shoot in the air. This forced all those who had gathered to run for their dear lives. The star drove straight to the Central Police Station(CPS). The guard also followed him to the police station.
The two made statements. The guard accused Chameleone for deposting fake notes at the petrol station while Chameleone also opended up a case against the guard, one James Agong for tring to kill him.
It should be recalled that in December 2008, this is the same man who sleepwalked through his hotel room window at 3rd floor to the ground. Early this year the Ba Yuda star was involved in a fight with one businessman and his girl friend which scuffle left him admitted for sometime and yet he had to rehearse for the album launch.
Uganda's heavy weight singer Jose Chameleone will be in the UK during the Easter Weekend. Chameleone who travels to the UK today has promised to give it his best shot according to the you tube video whose link can be accessed at the end of this article.
The tour is being organised by Limaloka Entertainment with the help of Eddie Okila of Glitz Events. On Good Friday Jose will be at Club Afrique in London and on Saturday he will be at Bobby Brown's in Birmigham and Easter Sunday he will conclude the tour in Scotland. This is his first international show after the various accidents that almost saw the star out of action. Chameleone UK Tour (Easter 2009)
Bebe Cool has made news for a greater part of this year ranging from his marital issues and financial problems. However the untold story behind all this is the Hummer which has been his dream car for the last three years which seems to be on its way to Kampala.
Jose Chameleone has just brought in a Cadillac Escalade a model 2004, after Bobi Wine's had been around for sometime though he has opted on donating it after Chameleone had emulated him.
Bebe Cool's Range Rover could be somewhere attached as collateral but yes he had better things to spend his money on other than paying debts and now you should wonder no more what is it that he was spending his money on. It appears he has settled the hummer and what remains to be cleared are the taxes and the number plate.
The Range Rover has a BAFFUDDE number plate so AGENZE or ZUENA could be the number plate for the hummer yet to hit Kampala roads.
The Ghetto President has put his Cadillac Escalade on sale through auction and the proceeds will go to the Owino market victims. Supposing the car does not fetch any money for reasons related to the credit crunch, this could as well imply that the Ghetto President has donated nothing.
Meanwhile Jose Chameleone had given cash worth US$ 250 and a pledge of 7,000,000/- which is to be realized on Sunday (01-Mar.2009) during the Mbuutu Yembutukizi at Nakivubo. This has forced the Ghetto President, Bobi Wine to retaliate with a briefcase with cash not a pledge of 10,000,000/- which he gave to the traders.
While the Ghetto President is just giving away the Cadillac free of charge to the traders that is if someone volunteers to take it at the agreed price, Chameleone has just imported the same car but a better model. You can now read between the lines..Chameleone was trying to emulate Bobi in cruising a luxurious SUV but the President has said no, and he is instead donating it opting for a customized chopper.
The traders who lost their property in the Wednesday morning fire have continued receiving massive support from sympathizers and well wishers the latest coming from President Yoweri Museveni who contributed 1billion shillings. He made the offer today when he visited the site to assess the damage for himself.
The Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi who contributed 5 Million through his Minister yesterday also visited the burnt market today. The Bayuda Star Jose Chameleone yesterday went to the burnt market and as usual he was lifted around waving to his fans. Chameleone( real name Joseph Mayanja) gave the traders half a million shillings and also pledged seven million Ug shillings to help in the settlement of loans acquired by these traders. Bobi Wine has auctioned his Cadillac Escalade and he is calling for the rich guys out there to come up with at least 200 to 400 million in exchange for his luxurious 4WD SUV. The money will be donated to the traders.
70 percent of the traders in this market are women who had acquired loans from micro-finance institutions as start up capital. Unfortunately all their efforts were reduced to ashes last Wednesday. Other items donated to the traders include nails, furniture plus other accessories to help in the restoration of the stalls.
