Sylvia Namutebi's bridal nail party idea watered-down
Ex-Miss Uganda, Sylvia Namutebi is the happiest woman at the moment following her wedding to Talent Africa CEO, Aly Allibhai over the weekend. It was held on July 29, 2017 at Lake Victoria Serena Resort. It equally took a week of activities before the couple could put pen on paper. First was the bachelorette party that left many ladies swimming in champagne, the Nikah ceremony followed where the two signed the marriage contract. The couple was dressed in blue. However, the highlight of the activities was the bridal nail party.
This was a party tagged to the bride's nails having a special treat hours before the big day. This nail party thing ruffled a few feathers now that it's fairly new.."Nail what?...." And many slay queens were wondering if the nails called for a special celebration.
The former Miss Uganda was quick to put them in line.
"Haha some of you need some happiness in your life! This is about enjoying the wedding journey and having fun with it! Me and my friends are pretty easy going every one knows we are no slay queens, but we love to enjoy life. Some of you need to try it."
"What will you do when I post my dress selection party or fittings party or wedding cake tasting! I think you will commit suicide! You all need to take a chill pill and learn not to take life too seriously. Enjoy every aspect of your life! Or stop hating on those who do, you will feel much better trust me."
You can blame all this on the SK Mbuga wedding that cost billions, it will take a bit of time before another wedding takes over that space, so all these never done before ideas will continue coming up. The couple is yet to share the wedding pictorial.

Diamond Platnumz loves lap-dancing, Zari
Socialite Zari Hassan has vowed to have fun and nothing will stop her. When her lover boy took her for a treat in Mombasa, some circles were on her case again, claiming it was too soon to have such fun considering that she had lost two close people in her life that include ex-husband and her mother.
Zari explained that she has to appear strong now that everyone in the family looks up to her including the kids, so breaking down will mean that every other person follows suit.
While on holiday, the couple went through a lot of pampering plus lots of activities ranging from jet skiing and boat cruise among others and all this was to try and occupy Zari's mind to forget the past problems that have been eating her up lately.
On Sunday night, the couple was back in Nairobi for an exclusive party with their fans.

What happened to Mary Luswata? she looks different
The former Scoop on Scoop host looked different as she showed off her new look at the Uganda Museum on Sunday where she was attending the Mchomo festival, the short TV star was unrecognizable.
In the above pic, we compare her back then pics and now, you can't miss the difference and not even applying make-up can explain the huge difference. It's the red lips that look the same in all the pics.
The ex-Urban TV presenter gave birth to a baby girl late last year, in November to be exact. It's not clear if her changed looks are linked to that, but one thing is for sure, she is a shadow of former self.
Her skin complexion then could easily be compared to Zahara Toto, who is clad in denim knee high boots to strategically cover her dark knees. Toto has also tried putting on Luswata's shoes in her one hour Gossip show on Spark TV dubbed The Live Wire, though you have to make sure your TV volume is down because she is loud enough.
When Zahara learnt that Luswata will be attending the Mchomo festival, she deployed her crew who she fondly refers to as 'Kifeesi' in all corners of Uganda Museum, it was not long before the camera's spotted her, but it took a lot of verification and scrutiny to conclude that this was Mary Luswata.
Some concluded that it was her talk-show that led to the disguised looks, she does not want to interface with the people she rubbed the wrong way.

New roles, new problems for Bobi Wine and wife Barbie
It's coming to a month now from the time Hon. Kyagulanyi won the Kyadondo East parliamentary seat. He was sworn in and just the other day he was attending his first parliamentary session with all cameras following him as expected and he does not disappoint, he gives them what they want. He did not contribute much on day one, but you can be sure whatever he said could have dominated the headlines.
On flipping the other side of the coin, the new office and responsibilities have come with their problems too for Bobi Wine and his wife Barbie Kyagulanyi. On Saturday, Bobi Wine had to grace four functions on the same day. He started with Gayaza Junior school that was celebrating over 100 years of existence where he was from 10:00AM, but was forced to leave at 3:00PM to grace other functions.
However, at Gayaza Junior School, the Buganda Premier, Charles Peter Mayiga was the chief guest and a time came to cut the cake, Hon. Kyagulanyi who is the area MP was invited to come along, but unfortunately, he had left for other functions something that media reports interpreted as snubbing the Buganda Kingdom official. Bobi Wine came out to explain.
"On the same day I had been invited to officiate at four different functions (Gayaza Junior School, Kinaawa Secondary School, Nangabo Youth Bicycle race and the Uganda cranes vs South Sudan football match at Lugogo KCCA grounds).
After the Katikiro’s speech at around 3pm, and owing to the many panic calls from the organisers of the other functions, I silently left and rushed to catch up with my other engagements.
I must say it was a humiliation to the people of Kyadondo East to have their elected representative seated at a function for almost five hours and not given any opportunity to say a word. I had prepared to use the occasion to suggest ways of improving our education system!
Therefore, by the time the cake was cut, I was long gone and I think it was more important for me to say a word to my people rather than cut that cake."
On the other hand, his wife is battling with a certain group that was throwing shade at her family, which she says it's okay provided they don't involve her children.
"Me and my husband can be point of discussion any day, any time, any type of topic, hateful, or positive we are very fine with the scrutiny whether for fun or as role models. I However, would request that Our children be kept out of the immature hateful discussions," Barbie noted.

Bad Gal Bree dating Chameleleone's ex-Manager
Bad Gal Bree real name Bridgette was one of the girls that used to move with Bad Black when she was still loaded, but this was dealt a blow when the socialite got problems with her ex-lover, she was imprisoned and Bree relocated to Dubai.
She is now back and back with a bang by showing off her lover, Sam Mukasa, who she fondly calls Zaddy. Mukasa is King Saha's manager and formerly Chameleone's.
Bree and Sam have been secretly dating for years, but just a few days back they made their affair public by unleashing the first pic feeling lovey dovey captioned as;
"We've been through it all, bad and good, but who said it was going to be good anyway! Real love is not easy to find, But God Has been so good and kind to us regardless!"
"He said to me Bree, we ain't perfect, but we are perfect for each other, I will always love you and have your back till the end of time."
This pic attracted a one Hannington who came out asking if this wasn't Yasmin's baby Daddy?" It was like throwing a stone in a beehive, Masudi, another ex-member of the Bad Gal crew came to Bree's rescue; "Yes Baby Daddy, but he is currently with his wife don't you get it...."
"I couldn't have said it any better," Bridgette added.
Bree was last spotted at the latest version for the launch of Abryanz Style and Fashion awards and Ex-Miss Uganda Sylvia Namutebi's Bachelorette party, she looks pregnant though!

Like father like son, Bebe Cool's son, Allan Hendrik likes his babes light
Allan Hendrik Ssali, 22, is slowly moving in his father's footsteps. Bebe Cool's first born is not only doing music, but also likely to end up with a light skinned babe as seen from his various shots with Jackie Kateme. Like they say, pics say a thousand words.
The two have been spotted together at different hangouts in town with the latest being Koko bar in Ntinda. The pics reveal that there's certainly more than music going on between these two.
'Awunya Ba Celeb,' 'Omukwano Gwo,' 'Bundu Bundu,' and 'Akagambo' are some of Hendrik's songs. The dread-locked singer normally has a session with his fans on his wall where he encourages them to ask questions and this did not miss;
Are you dating this old woman, Kateme Jackie,? One fan asked. "I'm not dating the old woman, she's just my friend," Hendrik replied. Kateme Jackie is signed to Bebe Cool's Gagamel Crew, so on many occasions, they are doing so many things together, including rehearsing and singing now that they are signed to the same label.
"My son Allan Hendrik is out with a mega hit video, The song is called Ononya," The Gagamel CEO and also Hendrik's dad wrote calling out on his huge following to show some love to Allan.
Allan's voice sounds just like Bebe Cool many seemed to suggest. It's a nice video others added.

Diamond Platnumz mourns Zari's mom
As Zari was still coping with the death of her ex-hubby, Ivan Semwanga, her mother, Halima Sultan Hassan has passed on aged 58. Zari's mom died this morning at Nakasero Hospital where she has been hospitalized for close to a month.
Over the weekend, Zari was in Kayunga to visit the grave of Ivan Semwanga. Gone but not forgotten were the words she used and as she got back to Kampala, the mom of five told whoever cared to know that she was having sleepless nights following her mother who was not well.
This morning, Zari using her social networks informed her over 3 million followers on IG that her mom had passed on.
"It's with deep sorrow that my family and I announce the death of our lovely mother who passed on this morning. May her soul rest in peace."
Her baby daddy, Dimaond Platnumz used her wall to mourn his mother-in-law. "Mwenyez Mungu ailaze Roho yako Mahali Pema Peponi Amini.." Translated as "May her soul rest in eternal peace.."
It's now left to be seen if he will be coming over for burial.

Desire Luzinda worryingly close to becoming businessman Lwasa's cookie
These two were very close and they still are. Last year, the Masaka based businessman Lwasa Emmanuel threw a lavish birthday bash for the Kitone singer, but their affair seemed short lived then. However, latest info getting to us indicates that the two are back to looking each other in the eyes and they are closer like never before.Sponsored
"If he loves you he will put up with all your crapy past and make the best out of your future," Was a post Desire Luzinda wrote on her wall clearly indicating that the businessman is less bothered by her crapy past and ready to make the best out of her future.
Several artists were to perform at the opening of Lwasa's Masaka based Club Tavern Kick, but Desire had to travel with the Tycoon in his black Mercedes AMG 63 v8 Turbo customized with 'LWASA' reg plates.
"The coolest ride for the road trip. Spirit already high for the opening of the best club Tavern Kick," Desire noted as she enjoyed the ride to Masaka.
The two later went to Kasese and their final destination was Hotel Margherita where Desire Luzinda's 'kitone' was explored to the fullest. they spent some quality time together at Hotel Margherita, see pic below.
The Kitone singer shared a pic on her wall clad in a denim short and jacket captioned as; "Pretend you've not seen it..."
"If that is your intention to pretend that we haven't seen it then you are making it VERY HARD for us especially when you are looking SO FLAWLESS," One responded.Sponsored

Bebe Cool in LA to record two videos with Akon's producer
Bebe Cool is in the US to record two videos with Patrick Elis, a Nigerian producer signed to Akon's music label. He travelled yesterday after checking on the little girl who became blind under unclear circumstances.
"The business class and life you achieve will all depend on the day to day decisions you make. Make the right ones not the easy ones. Final destination L.A, " Bebe Captioned the pic.
He's been up to so much lately though the Kyadondo East syndrome and the Magere based star, Bobi Wine, was dominating literally all the space.
Bebe Cool is doing something with Nigeria's Deborah Oluwaseyi Joshua aka Seyi Shay and Ghana's Stone Bwoy. The songs will be out soon.
Bebe Cool last month released his Katono video, it has 32,000 views on YouTube. The Mbozi Za Malwa singer has also been in Kenya for the Coke Studio musical television series that saw him team up with a number of artists including Jason Derulo.

Hair by Zziwa boss is out of rehab where he's been for close to a month battling with alcohol and drug abuse.Ads
Most of Zziwa's female customers have been frequenting his hair studio hoping he will work on them only to end up frustrated after several visits, the dread-locked hairstylist was no where to be seen. Colleagues did not make it any easier as they were equally tight lipped about his whereabouts.
However, in his post on Thursday, the Hair by Zziwa boss shared three shots when he is clad in a rehab green uniform captioned as; "Fresh outta Rehab."
#travel was his last post on Facebook on June 17 and since then, he had not made any posts as he had checked in at an addiction rehabilitation centre. His first post about his being open about the recovery process first appeared on his timeline on July 13, which is close to a month from his last posting, implying that during that time, Desire Luzinda's best friend was struggling to be sober.Ads

Will cross the bridge when we get there, but for now, I will be a member of parliament
Bobi Wine is currently in Italy and was talking to BBC's Vivienne Nunis of the World Business Report and this is what he had to say..
I represent the new generation...
How are you going to manage the change that you want to see in Uganda?
"I'm going to stand on the issues. My standing up was to encourage other young people and give them the confidence, I'm sure it's working."
"President Museveni lost touch with the people and the values he stood for, him preaching for fundamental change, but right now he stands for no change. He said that Africa's problem and Uganda in particular are the people who stay in power for long, but he has been in power for 31 years and still counting, so I believe that the M7 of then and of now would have a bitter fight if they met..."
Speaking of the President, do you want to be President of Uganda one day?
"Well, I'm president already, I'm the president of the Ghetto [laughs] People gave me a responsibility of representing them in parliament and that is what I want to do for now, I don't want to cross bridges that I've not reached yet."
Take me through some of the reforms in the Ugandan society.
"Inclusiveness...I believe the President has too much power right now and I believe that it should be reduced 2. Human rights abused constantly because there is so much rule of the gun other than the rule of law, the same way I've been preaching to the voters is the way I want to preach to the members of parliament to try and change their mindsets and show them that they need to reconnect with the people."
What are you going to do to lift those people out of the Ghetto, how are you going to improve their lives with the economy of Uganda?
"Our Ghettos are full of young people and 80% of them are unemployed, we need to bring up policies that are going to look into that and that is the best way to curb crime. Look at our health the budget that is being allocated to health is ashaming, the education system is pathetic.."
Can you sing something for us now;
He goes for a stanza off his Time Bomb song...
"I would like to Communicate
YO..I don't know why the corruption is too much yaGaYaGaHhh

Ugandan musicians to vie for political seats in 2021
The battle lines have been drawn after Bobi Wine won the Kyadondo parliamentary seat with a landslide victory. In the next elections, we could see up to 10 artists vying for political posts in their respective areas.
Top on the list are Dan Kazibwe aka Ragga Dee, who gave a shot for the Lord Mayor of Kampala, but failed, Eddy Yawe (Bobi Wine's brother) who has tried twice for a parliamentary seat and failing on both occasions. The other is Afrigo Band's Rachael Magola who is going to give the Iganga Woman MP slot another try after the passing of Hon. Hailat Kauda Grace.
Magola was trounced by the late Kauda Grace. The Obangaina singer was specifically bitter with those who tried to belittle artistes following the win of Bobi Wine, no doubt, she's coming back with a bang. Hon. Judith Babirye is already in the house.
We now bring you the other artists that are likely to pick up the nomination forms come 2021;

SK Mbuga tries walking, but still in pain
Businessman SK Mbuga is seen trying to walk without the support of clutches something that left some of his pals very concerned. Henry who was walking with him earlier in the day explained that it was not possible for him to walk with clutches now that his left arm and both legs were affected.
"He can't use clutches because his other arm was badly fractured too at the elbow joint. Meaning he has only one functional limb, that's the right arm. You can't use clutches with one arm when both legs are equally fractured. But for rehabilitative reasons, he has to make some movements to allow proper nerve re-development around the bones. He actually uses an electric wheelchair and his house has been modified with passage clamps to suit his movement ability. He has a visiting physiotherapist every other day. His rehabilitation plan is good."
Inset is the x-ray pic showing how the two legs were affected.

Looking at the above pic, you could think it's NTV's news anchor Sheila Nduhikire graduating, no it's not her, it's her little sister Daphne. And It's just amazing how the two look alike.
Sheila had the best words for her little sister who was among the graduands that were soaked in rain on Jul 7 as over 1,000 students graduated.
"Congratulations to my blood Daphine for shining so bright! You've brought so much pride to us.
This year's Bachelors of Law course had 285 students and was the best performed.
Sheila had a light moment with the recently elected Kyadondo MP Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, she knows his songs word by word...

Honorable Kyagulanyi responds to Bebe Cool
Bobi Wine is the in thing right now. Radio and TV stations, blogs, newspapers and social media platforms are all trending with Bobi Wine who amazed everyone including rivals in his Kyadondo East landslide victory. The ruling party, NRM, was equally impressed now that they were able to beat the main opposition party, FDC in an area where the former party leader Dr. Kizza Besigye hails from.
While appearing on NTV's Talk of the Nation, news anchor Sheila Nduhukire had a few questions for Hon. Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.
How do you feel? she asked! Bobi posed the same question, You how do you feel? but then, he went on to answer her.
"It's exciting, I expected it...but I was like did they understand me, did I communicate well, but after the election, I realized they had understood me."
When did you decide to join politics?
I grew up in an era of bad politics and hoped things would change, so I realized if I want change, then I have to be the change. However, I woke up after the 2016 elections.
Aren't you an opportunist, many had hoped you would leave Hon. Apollo Katinti to complete his term and then you come in 2021?
If anybody is calling me an opportunist, then, I would call out to any one out there who thinks like me to stand for their rights, It's my right to stand for any political post. I don't belong to any party much as I was born in DP and personally, I'm friends with Dr. Kizza Besigye.
With your new responsibility are you going to drop the bad habits?
There is a Bobi Wine and Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi who you are talking to right now. Do you want to talk to Bobi Wine?[laughs], but I'm not here to represent my life in the past and everyone has their past. I was born in Kamwokya, I met Barbie and we have children, I believe that shows a different Bobi Wine from the past.
Bebe Cool thinks you are in this for the money
Why Bebe Cool, but now that you've talked about him, I will respond. Not everybody thinks the way I think...Bebe Cool is my old comrade, but we do not grow at the same pace. I learn new things and I'm proud of what I am today. I'm not a politician because that word does not describe me, I'm a leader...Me and Bebe see things in a different way. I'm not in this for the money, I made enough money before I went into politics.
Earlier on, Bebe Cool was appearing on a Kenyan television, he was asked if he could consider joining politics and this was his response; "No my father did, but not me. I don't like politics, I like being rich and I don't think politicians can be rich."
This comment attracted wild cheers from the Sauti Sol group, they were attending the same interview.
