Sarah Nampijja aka Sera was signed to the Muyenga based Swangz Avenue and was known to many through her popular blockbuster hit 'Contagious' that she did with Jeff Blaze(Jeff Mukisa).
Sera had travelled to Masaka for the burial of her Producer's father Ken but while on their way back, she felt a sharp pain in the stomach. They then rushed to the nearest hospital where they got some medication. Its important to note that Sera had not had a meal in a long time and yet she had a history of Ulcers.
Sera started vomiting blood which was by now coming out through the mouth, nose and ears. This was the account of a member of Swangz Avenue, a label to which Sera was signed.
Sera's death has happened at the time when the country is alert after an outbreak of Ebola however, those who were with her at the time of collapsing ruled it out saying the symptoms were different.
Sera was popular for songs like 'Sunrise, 'One Ting Man' and her very latest was 'Fire'. Just a month back, MR.X of the Kaddo Pharm passed on after a short illness. The Uganda Music Industry and the Entertainment fraternity at large will greatly miss you, may your soul rest in eternal peace.

Two days back, Uganda was using an empty stall to represent itself to the world at the London 2012 Olympics - African village but as of today, the stall was been closed. This forced some enthusiasts to inquire about the closure and all the organisers told them was: "The Ugandans could not afford to pay the rent."
This is a missed opportunity to sell the country. China is leading so far with 10 gold medals followed by United States of America which has 7 gold medals and South Africa is so far representing the continent with one gold medal.

On the 21.Jul.2012, it was the Airtel Tsup Swagg Party featuring Lillian who did most of her hit songs like 'Yegwe Weka', 'Love letter' and 'Vitamin' among others but the fans kept on interrupting her session by asking for 'Tata Baby' but now that they are not riding on the same horse, she had no answers for them.
Lillian who is either at Radio City doing her day time job or attending to her Live Band the Sundowners in the night accuses Moze Radio for not having time for their child on top of dating other hot babes around town who include a Zungu babe.
This and many other reasons made Radio to snub the Swag party that was held at club Rouge. Socialites like Judith Heard, Tracy Bora and former Blu3 singer Cindy Sanyu did not disappoint as they came in to support her.

In the past, the couple used to grace happening places as a family but both parents now have assigned specific days with the boys. Yesterday was Ivan's turn to spend time with the kids. Zari confirmed that their house is on fire by asking Ivan why one of the boys was not putting on a warm garment.
Ivan was very quick at telling her that it was the car. The boy is seen freezing in cold weather as everyone around them is in warm clothing. This did not go down well with their mom.
The couple was involved in a serious fight that almost brought their affair to an end had it not been for one of the sisters' to ask Zari to reconsider her decision for the sake of the kids.
Ivan had tried to cover up the fight by diverting attention under the pretext that Zari had got an accident but Zari's sibling Zuleha Hassan applauded her for having denounced domestic violence and even referred to Ivan as a b**st.

The TPF5 show had four finalists on the final day i.e. Ruth, Doreen, Jackson and Joe. However, many TPF fans were not convinced that Doreen deserved to be in the second position and when it came to Jackson being in the third position, it made matters worse. Joe was short of crying when asked how he felt being in the fourth position.
Ther winner whose TUSKER number was ''1'' making her a winner right from the start had this to say: "TPF5 Competition has taught me one thing, there are people who will love you genuinely for who you are, and there are people who will hate you for no reason!....
Always be yourself all the time, do good and do right, after all you can never please everyone, you will die and breakdown if you try to please people. To my haters, I love you all because God loves us all equally."
Ruth was pushed to the wall to come up with such remarks after a section of the fans were having mixed reactions over the TPF5 choice of winners. Ruth Matete emerged the winner of Tusker Project Fame 5 and in her words she said: "Thank you God..I love you" before going on her knees.

Uganda's only representative in the Tusker Project Fame was evicted last night after her performance that was only liked by Juliana.
Judge Hermes from Tanzania was short of saying a poor performance but because he was the one that had chosen the Toni Braxton song for her he said; " I think..it was good performance''
Judge Ian tactfully said that was not an 100% percent performance. The other contestants for the night did well especially Joe with his reggae version of 'Ain't No Sunshine' and Halleluyah by Ruth.
Juliana was lenient with Sharon all the way even when her performance was average to the extent that she even saved her as the other two judges opted for Joe. Sharon Nalwoga's eviction party was held yesterday after the show at Club Betty's in Nairobi.
Saturday, 21 July 2012
Uganda's Sharon Nalwoga who is on probation was up next doing a song from Toni Braxton which judge Juliana and Hermes loved though judge Ian told her that you need to do a lot more, that was not an 100% performance.
Joe was next doing a reggae version and singing along with the audience. Judge Ian told him that was a good choice for a song and putting the reggae twist into it just made it fabulous. Judge Hermes loved the reggae and the creativity.
Ruth was that last one doing 'Hallelujah' which was well coordinated with creating dancers and at the end of her performance Judge Juliana said: "Im speechless, I'm so proud of you Ruth", she even stood up for her as suffix of respect.
Judge Ian said: "I absolutely loved it and it was a perfect song and you have delivered. Judge Hermes had two words for Ruth and her performance was brilliant and perfect.
Ben from Price Water House Coopers delivered the name of the contestant with highest votes from online voting and SMS. Ruth was saved by the public and the three remaining contestants faced the faculty and Steve was saved.
Hermes saved Joe for creativity, Juliana saved Sharon and judge Ian saved the person who he believed had the potential to grow and he saved Joe. Sharon Nalwoga was proud to have made it to the top five. She will be flying home aboard Air Uganda.
As the show ended , Nalwoga did her last song she could have done on Sunday had she not been evicted.

Ivan covered this up by saying that "Zari has been in a car crash." Zari was active around the same period though denouncing domestic violence.
One of Zari's sister confirmed this by trashing Ivan's version: "My opinion is my sis is not in a car crash its that man of a beast who planned that so he can abuse her what an idiot. If Zari was in a crash, the first thing she would have done could have have been to call mum. Gal 'Im really happy you stepped up ur a hero to all the women out there."
Zari came out to say that: "Domestic violence is a no no, had my share for a long time and I'm officially out." This is what got Zuleha Hassan another sister of Zari to intervene at least for the sake of the children.
Its Zuleha's posting which got over 21 approvals that brought the matter to rest. In her posting she told her that she was better off having an alive happy sister than a rich dead one.
Zuleha told her: "Zari, only you know what you've passed through all these years. All I'm gonna say is that save yourself and your children. I would rather have an alive sister than a rich dead one.
This is when Zari ceased fire and reminded herself on how much she loves her sons so much who know her in and out. Zari introduced Ivan to her parents in Munyonyo after 11 years of exploring each other and over 300 cows were brought for the parents but because they could not stay in the Munyonyo home, the cows disappeared after the function.

This followed the tax body Uganda Revenue Authority issuing notices to some of the big names in the industry to pay taxes out of their recently held shows. Musicians retaliated by saying that they will not pay the said taxes if their music is being pirated.
The police boss promised to enforce the crack down. A few weeks back, policemen and members of the Uganda Performing Right Society (UPRS) were faced with resistance as the tried to crack down on the music pirates down town.
The Anti-piracy protest lasted several hours that when Chameleone saw a mango vendor within the vicinity, he called the lady who put the mangoes right on top of the bonnet of the BMW that was donated to him by Meddie Ssentongo.
The star who was very hungry at the time did not waste any minute in crushing the nutritiously rich fruit which was not even ripe.

Justice Catherine Bamugemeireire of the Anti-Corruption Court found Bad Black and Meddie Ssentongo guilty for embezzlement and conspiracy to defraud USD9m and USD 1.7m from Daveshan Development Company.
The issue of compensating David Greenhalgh was ruled out because he did not use due diligence in selecting development partners but opted to trust a prostitute with all that money for business purposes.
On being sentenced, Bad Black was seen discussing with her lawyers before prison wardens asked her to follow them to a waiting double cabin pick-up that was waiting. A friend of hers brought the baby for breast feeding.
Bad Black sat in the hind seat of the pick-up while Meddie Ssentongo was put at the back of the pick up. Meddie Ssentongo had promised to feed his pals with dust in his blue Imprezza which he had cruised with to court but that was driven back by a friend.
The latest is that Bad Black's lawyers intend to appeal the sentence though Meddie has agreed to serve his 18 months. Greenhalgh's lawyer Patrick Farah has filed a civil suit for recovery of the money much as Justice Catherine Bamugemereire ordered that they should NOT refund the money.

East Africa's biggest search for a super star which aims at getting a winner for the 5m K shillings is on but Uganda is under check with Sharon Nalwoga on probation this week.
7 housemates are left in the academy and tonight was the probation night with all contestants performing their best not to get on the probation list.
Kenya's Ruth kicked off with the nite's performance and Juliana was impressed with her performance and even judge Ian added that she is a star. Judge Hermes was equally impressed.
Rwanda's Jackson was next doing his own version of 'No Woman No Cry' and Judge Hermes and Juliana loved it. Juliana complemented his looks too but had issues with the way he pronounced words. Judge Ian told him that it was an improvement from diapers to that'
The only South Sudan contestant Nancy was up next doing Yvone Chaka Chaka's 'Thank You Mr DJ' Judge Juliana said there was no transformation in the song and Judge Ian did not like it. Judge Hermes said it was like she was shouting.
Doreen from Kenya who has been on probation every single week was Doreen doing 'Isn't she Lovely' a song from Stevie Wonder. Judge Ian loved the transformation but told her she does not have the voice to carry it through. Judge Hermes said to her that she tried her best and actually did well. Juliana agreed with Judge Hermes.
Steve Homes from Kenya was next on stage doing It's not Unusual with his crazy hairstyle. Judge Ian had his eyebrows raised even before he could do forty seconds of his performance. Judge Ian said NO I don't like the way you look and I don't like the way you performed. Judge Hermes said it was an average vocal performance and for Judge Juliana, it was an average performance.
Joe Irankunda from Burundi hit the stage next doing a Swahili song. Judge Hermes told him that he was struggling and it sounded like karaoke. Judge Juliana said it was rather tough for him and was just fine. Judge Ian said this was a song too big for him.
Uganda's Sharon Nalwoga was the last one to perform. Clad in her black suit and high heels came on stage doing 'Sweetest Taboo' Judge Ian said not one of your better performances, you've done a lot better this one was bad..Judge Juliana said this was not her favourite performance and Judge Hermes told her that she was just moving on stage and not connecting with the people.
After her performance, all contestants were called on stage. On probation this week is Joe from Burundi, Nancy from South Sudan, Sharon from Uganda and Steve from Kenya. To save Sharon send TUSKER 4 to 8009 for those in Uganda.

Just recently, she went public with her new catch Vercruse Maysean who confirmed to some snoops that they have actually been together for six months and Bad Black is the sweetest gal he's ever met.
Bad Black and 24-year-old Maysean, a Nairobi based doctor met in Nairobi and kicked off with steamy romps and now Bad Black says: "I love this one month creature inside me hope its a baby boy"
Meanwhile, Bad Black is worried about the court case. According to her submission, she says that the money Greenhalgh gave her was not for the real-estate business but it was a thank you for love making.
The love making submission is not doing a lot in saving Bad Black in the Shs 11bn embezzlement case, something that has left her very worried.

The faculty saved Nancy as the public saved Doreen. The contestants vote was a tie so the judges came in to save Steve. This left Samantha from Burundi with no option but to pack her bags to Burundi.
Samantha did Lucky Dube's 'Different Colours' but the mere fact that it got her on probation the first time, she could not reverse much. Interestingly, most of her fans are threatening to stop watching the show now that she is out.

Early August, Jose Chameleone will be in South Africa and on the 27 Aug, the star will be representing Uganda in the Africa Unplugged show with Cabo Snoop in Wembley London.

A copy of the new log book that replaces the old one was also showed during the launch at Serena Hotel on Friday. In attendance was the Commissioner Traffic, Uganda Police Dr. Steven Kasiima and the guest of honour was Hon. Byandala, the Minister for Works and Transport.
For new vehicles an agent will be required but for old vehicles, you just have to enter your vehicle particulars on a form off the URA website. To validate your vehicle, one must have a 10 digit TIN number.
The online system went live on the 02-Jul-2012. Motorists have exactly one year to register or validate their cars. Police officers will be equipped with tablets to verify vehicle details on spot once that deadline expires.

Former tycoon Meddie Ssentongo is now into rally driving and the likes of Nasser Mutebi had better get prepared as Meddie has brought in his new N12 Subaru worth $100,000 and will be testing his ride in the forthcoming Pearl of Africa Rally.
Today was the day they were supposed to report to the Anti-Corruption court for the Shs11b embezzlement case in which he is co-accused with Bad Black. Meddie was spotted cruising the blue subaru in UAP series.
Yesterday was Bad Black's birthday and it was supposed to be celebrated at Cayenne but when she realised that the following morning she was required in court, she decided to postpone the party to Saturday so that she could appear very sober during the court session.
More on Meddie
NB: The price of the car on this article was changed from $10,000 to $100,000.

Appearing at the Grand Imperial Hotel swimming pool area, the kickboxer was approached by some huge guys who were requesting for a fight with him now that they were more built than him and yet small guys from Hungary have been thumping him.
He then said: "Im sorry to all my fans. I know most of you are saying Im stupid. I went to the ring and I was eager to come out with a title but because of the knee problem, I could not fight on."
Zsamboki is aggressive and good. I wanted to take him on through footwork, naye byagaana(It failed) because of the knee, ndowooza mukitegeera (I hope you understand)."

That was a tweet by Judith Heard a few days back. Now we all know the last party to be held was the launch of the Zari Jewels and looking at the fight they had in March, Judith Heard was not supposed to grace this launch.
Sylvia Owori who happens to be Judith Heard's former boss was among those who turned up for the launch of Zari Jewels.
These three are now business rivals bearing in mind that Judith Heard has JHFYS fashion line at Forest Mall which she could have put on Garden City but because of the Sylvia Owori Store that is based at Garden city, she decided to put it elsewhere.
Now having scanned our social environment, we concluded that the above remarks were aimed at Zari who organised the party and Sylvia as the two have been having issues.
Judith Heard was a model with Sylvia Owori but according to her, she was not being paid enough money until Mr. Right came her way and since then, she is now a competitor of her former boss.

If you attended the Black Gal party last year when Bad Black was celebrating her 22nd Birthday at Club Rouge you should have noticed how booze was flowing endlessly and one did not have to part with a penny to access the venue.
Bad Black was even chauffered in a Black limousine, her gal brigade that included Hamida with whom they have had a nasty fight a few days back were all clad in black skimpy outfits entertaining revellers but tonight, it will be the Bikini VS Bahamas house party as Black celebrates her birthday.
Babes clad in bikini wear and see through costumes will be all over, so you don't need to carry your camera.

City socialite Tracy Bora has joined the fashion world and in two weeks time, she will be holding a Red and White Fashion party at Silk Lounge. The fashion show dubbed 'Fire and Ice Party' is by the Elyt Magazine team that brought you the Zari White Party last year.
The dress code will strictly be red and white or you are bounced. Partiers will be required to part with 30k to access the venue on the 19-July-2012. Tracy Bora is now searching for models though she warns that they must be real hot and not so common. We wonder where this leaves the hot and common models like Doreen Kabareebe.
The Fab Clan(Judith Heard+Sue Ochola) brought the White Party to Kampala and later Zari introduced the Zari White Party that saw most stores in Kampala having a quick rush for white outfits, Now Tracy Bora has ventured in this area too. In our gallery, one commented that Tracy Bora makes news because of her curves, she is now moving out of that camp to a more challenging camp.

There were negative reactions from the public when Miss Uganda was crowned, when the couple to represent Uganda in the Big Brother appeared on TV and now Golola has been roasted in the same manner.
Phiona Bizzu - It was a red carpet moment and after carefully screening the 22 finalists, 19-year-old Phiona Bizzu won the crown and will be representing Uganda in the forthcoming Miss World. There was an out burst from the public on the choice by the judges.
Kyle and Jannette - Then came Big Brother Africa in which many had hoped that Michael and Natasha were going to represent the country in South Africa on reality TV. They were dead wrong as Kyle and Jannette matched the requirements of what they were looking for from those that auditioned in Uganda.
Many had predicted that the couple representing Uganda will be the first one to be evicted, but the random nomination ball did wonders for them as the Ugandan ball was not selected to the time they scrapped the system after merging the houses into one. Kyle is now up for eviction but at least after spending half the time in the house.
Golola Moses - After his last fight with Zsamboki Mate from Hungary, many fans started giving motor-mouthed kick-boxer Moses Golola alternatives to his 'game' that he has single handedly promoted and these included: Replacing Paddy Butama in the Amarula comedy group, being an MC, Gym Instructor, Mingling Posho at boarding schools among others.
All that the above mentioned need is your support more than insults. Olympic Games are around the corner so when Team Uganda falls short of getting Medals equivalent to the number we are sending to London, we should still give them a pat on the back nkt like the Golola-Bizzu booing.

Bad Black learnt of this and used the opportunity to attack Mida. The two gals have for a whole week been buried in bitter exchanges mostly to do with their past. Mida has since ceased fire.
On the other hand, Faridah Kumba is showering Richie Katts with all sorts of lovely messages just like Bad Black used to do Meddie Ssentongo. In some of the messages she says: "I Just can't thank you enough for loving, choosing me, I can c your love is for real, Thank you my Richie n I do as well."
Just like Meddie Ssentongo, Richie Katts is quietly taking in those messages as they come in and not shooting back. In over a year, there was no photo of Bad Black and Meddie Ssentongo together so we are closely watching that space for a photo moment with these two love birds.

Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has effective 1st of July 2012 rolled out a new way of registering, transferring and deregistering vehicles from Uganda to other countries. The same sytem helps car owners with getting duplicate number plates in case the first one got lost.
This registration applies to all vehicles that were registered earlier and those that are being imported into the country. Cars that are already in use will have to be registered from the URA website(ura.go.ug)by clicking how to validate your existing vehicle or registering a new vehicle with the help of a 10 digit TIN number.
A form will appear in which all particulars of the vehicle have to be entered, submitted to which a receipt will be issued. Once the details submitted match with those in the URA database, the old log book will then be withdrawn and replaced with a new one. It is even easier for imported cars because a clearing agent will be the one to do that.
Registering of cars is free and for the new ones, import and registration dues will apply. Motorist now have one year from the above date to effect the change over from the old log-book to the new one.
The Acting Commissioner Domestic Taxes Henry Saka appealed to motorists to comply within the one year to avoid impounding of their vehicles.

Tusker Project Fame season 5 started with 25 housemates and now we have only 8 in the Academy...! Mitch was not around yesterday so he asked Juliana about the show that saw a Ugandan evicted; Juliana said: "Yesterday's show was a competition and it depends on what the people voted"
Joe won the immunity implying that irrespective of what he does, he can't be put on probation. This was a solo show implying that a contestant was all by themselves, with no back-up dancers, all they had before them were the voices.
Joe from Burundi who is immune from probation kicked off the night's show and the audience loved his show. Hermes told him that he knows how to position his voice. Judge Ian said that he sounded okay but he could not tell the language. Judge Juliana said it was fabulous.
Sharon from Uganda was up next doing the Revolution song by Tracy Chapman. Clad in a blue short dress that revealed her sexy thighs, she did justice to the Revolution song at least according to us. The audience loved it if the way the reacted is anything to go by, Sheila loved it and Judge Ian said that was her best performance to date.
Juliana's comment was like Ian's that that was her best performance. Judge Hermes said Sharon's performance was good except for the beginning.
Rwanda's Jackson was up next with his guitar. but Juliana said his performance was amazing and Judge Hermes said with his performance, he was becoming a threat to other contestants. Judge Ian said his performance was not bad. He was on probation last week but with that performance, he will certainly not be back.
Kenya's Doreen hit the stage next doing 'Imagine' and at the end of her show ululations were heard from the audience. Juliana said this was her best performance ever just like she said for Sharon,. Judge Hermes did not agree with Juliana and said it was okay but not fascinating. Judge Ian gives credit where its due and Doreen you have improved from -30 to -25.
Samantha from Burundi was next doing Lucky Dube's different colours one people. She has not been on probation before, Juliana said that this was not her best performance. Judge Ian said that he was confused about the dressing, but he did not like the performance. Judge Hermes concurred with the other judges.
Nancy from South Sudan hit stage next in her long blue dress doing Miriam Makeba's Aluta Continua. Judge Ian said keyboard solo wow. I have seen you do better, that is not what I expected from you, it was okay which is not good for you. Judge Juliana said the same comments. Judge Hermes said that was a good song, so it was an okay performance.
Ruth Mateete from Kenya wa next doing a slow ballad; 'We're the Future' Judge Hermes said her performance was good and he is till her fan. Judge Ian said that he enjoyed it, and loved every word. Judge Juliana simply said, she has a beautiful voice and she loved it.
The last contestant to perform was Steve from Kenya doing What a Wonderful World. The audience loved his performance, we loved it too and so were judges Hermes and Juliana but Judge Ian did not buy any of that.
On Probation this week:
Sunday, 01 July 2012
Margla had hoped that Allan Sekiranda would be the third Ugandan to win the Tusker Project Fame top prize of Kshs5mn but after being on probation for several times, Allan's time was up in the academy and he had to pack his bags for Kampala aboard Air Uganda.
Allan performed 'No-EASY' by P-Square and at the end of his performance, the host of the show clearly told him that it's not easy to win Kshs5mn. Whatever that meant, your guess is as good as mine.
When it came to the judges, Hermes told him that it was better than last week. Juliana was assertive and told him that his performance was not that good. To make matters worse, even Sharon, the only Ugandan left in the academy did not save him but instead saved Jackson saying that he had the best performance.
Margla has now taken to the social network and is busy throwing all sorts of insults to the Omutima Guluma star Juliana Kanyomozi who is currently in Kenya for tonight's show of the Tusker Project Fame.
Reactions to Margla's verbal rant:
Precious Kay:"I like Allan but his vocals were lacking compared to other contestants. What Sharon did was wrong but then again don't hate the player, hate the game. Juliana will always be our songbird hate it or love it. What do you know about vocals Margla??"
