Navio has emerged as the Ugandan Musician with most nodes in the Kisima Awards slated for 7.Mar.2009 in Nairobi. The function which is the equivalent of Uganda’s Pearl of Africa Music Awards (PAM Awards) will be held at Windsor Golf and Country Club.

 

NAVIO under Klear Kut has been nominated for Group of the year, and the track Klear Discussion for Video of the year. Another Single by Navio titled Bugumu has made it to Video of the year.

 

“Bugumu” a new single by Navio has made it on two slots i.e. Song of the year Uganda and Video of the year. Having attacked the nodes both as a person and the Group, Klear Kut he has again featured on the slot of Male artist of the year.

 

Navio’s latest release, Salooni featuring GNL has also been nominated in Uganda’s Pearl of Africa Music Awards. Navio has also been nominated for Best Hiphop Artiste/Group in PAM Awards, Uganda.

 

Klear Kut the group that has been around since 2000 was recently in South Africa at the prestigious reality TV show, Big Brother Africa. Short of that Klear Kut has performed on a number of concerts that have taken place in Uganda ranging from Sean Paul, Kci and Jojo, Shaggy and Tevin Campbell among others.

 

Other artists to look out for in the Kisima Awards are Juliana Kanyomozi who is on best female artist and best Collabaration East Africa plus her Philly Lutaaya’s redo, Diana for Song of the year.
