Akon's show has been postponed to the 9th of this month. That was the day Kirk Franklin was to perform only to be postponed to the 22 and 24 of May, 2008. The reason for the first postponement was due to Akon's busy schedule and the second one is that he fell sick.

If you followed Akon's show in Kenya which actually never took place, you would appreciate the postponement but while it was understandable in Kenya with the crisis that haunted Kenyans, it will be very difficult to understand if Akon failed to perform in Uganda.

P-Square are to curtain raise for Akon. Bebe Cool is the Ugandan artist allowed to perform now that he is signed up with Celtel. The girl who did ''Do Me'' with the P-Square is in USA currently and it is rumored Juliana might play that role.

Several international artists have been in Uganda lately from Kevin Lyttle who indeed gave very little, Brick and Lace who wowed masses, UB 40 who left Ugandans wanting more, KCi & Jojo flopped due to heavy rains, and now looking forward to Akon(9.May.2008) and Kirk Franklin.(22 & 24.May.2008)
