1. FINANCE AND ACCOUNTS DIVISION

Key responsibility Area
To process and prepare financial information accurately and comprehensively for informed NIC management decision making, monitor investment performance, undertake market analysis, partnerships, project managers and other aspects
relative to the specific investment areas with respect to stated objectives; analyze and make recommendations as appropriate.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor of Science in commerce, Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, ACMA, CPA, etc is a distinct advantage
- Minimum of eight years experience for manager, five years for Assistant Manager and at least two years for Accounts Assistants
- Ability to apply knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and regulatory guidelines to meet the dynamics of the insurance environment is essential
- Proficiency in the use of excel and sundry accounting software.
- Not more than 40 years old for Manager and not above 35 years for Assistant manager
2. TECHNICAL / INSURANCE DIVISION

Key Responsibilities Area
Monitor and enforcing underwriting principles and practice including, but not limited to risk assessment, determination of premium, quotations and production of policies for General and Life Pensions businesses.
Conducting inspections, processing of claims, survey and loss investigation.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent in Insurance, Economics or Actuarial Science
Professional qualification or progress in ACII is essential for Managerial positions and advantageous for Assistant Manager and Senior Underwriters
Minimum of ten years cognate experience for Managers, eight years for Assistant managers and five years for senior underwriters in a reputable insurance company
For General Business, experience in Reinsurance, underwriting special risks, e.g. marine, aviation, oil and energy risks is an added advantage
Good marketing and business development outlook is an added advantage
Thorough understanding of insurance products and the insurance market
Good leadership and analytical skills
3. MARKETING / BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIVISION
Managers REF: MD/M/1/06
Asst. Manager REF:MD/AM/1/0-6
Key Responsibilities Areas
Will be responsible for formulating and overseeing the implementation of the company's various marketing initiatives and to create, develop and maintain profitable and long term customer relationships in the various identified target markets.
Qualifications, skills and Experience
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in marketing, Economics, Business Administration or any Social Science discipline
- A master in Business Administration (MBA) is an advantage
- Minimum of eight years cognate experience for managers and five years for Assistant Managers in marketing financial, insurance and allied products.
- Thorough products knowledge, relationship management, understanding of business environment and insurance industry issues
- Excellent market and product development skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Not above 40 years old for Managers and not above 35 years old for Assistant Manager position
4. CORPORATE SERVICES DIVISION
Assistant Managers REF:CSD/AM/01/06
Deputy Managers REF: CSD/DM/01/06
Key Responsibility Areas
Will assist the Head of Administration / Human Resource Manager in the effective management and coordination of the company's human resources, administrative / logistics functions. This includes, but not limited to effect human and materials
resources utilization vendor / suppliers management. Security services and premises
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Minimum of Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics or any Social Science discipline
Possession of a relevant post-graduate management degree or certification is an added advantage
Minimum of ten years cognate experience in public and/or private sector organization in an executive or support capacity
Ability to efficiently manage corporate resources
Strong coordinating and negotiating skills, resource management, purchase management and cost management
Customer and internal services mindset.
