In africa we are not fussy about back ground checks on foreignors as they do to immigrants in other countries. We are warm people and unknowingly we also invite ex- criminals on wanted list in USA and Europe to buy houses in UG.

if a muganda woman married to a karamojong for example i may meet inlaws who dont want me and prefered to get a karamojong wife for the man. I think all in all it is men who allow it to happen. men who are weak let is happen. strong men will tell those relatives to back off as he is a grown up and it is his choice to choose a black , indian, chinese,japanese,or Lugbara woman or whatever colour,etc,. Your opinion is fair, but it depends also how people handle it. If you an an inlaw and you cant stand me because of my colour or race.Then dont come to my house.By the way John they always come around. Sometimes for money or when times are bad. That is when they dont see your colour anymore.

Did you know that the nickname for baganda is "bamunaange". I personally would call that " REVERSED RACISM" or in Ugandas case it is " REVERSED TRIBALISM" . What we dont want whites or other races to do to us we do it towards ourselves and our own people .It is only the skin colours, cultures,tibes and race that differentiates all people in the world , but we are all the same. And we are all God's children and when we all die we go the same path. Period!
