How about changing the domestic voltage to 110V instead of 240V. Maybe this may save some energy to avoid loadshading.

For one thing that I pray for is that we don't get a terrorist attack, especially in Kampala, otherwise the whole city will burn down to arshes. Actually they should not only put a ceiling to stop new ones, but they should even close down some of these petrol stations.

I thought they had already stopped but when you move around town, the vacant plots are being cleared for the same projects. One wonders when will they stop building petrol stations in the city. I suggest they introduce a standard that a Petrol station should have say 200 m2 of free space in case of a fire. This may help.
