UNDP in Uganda
The UNDP has provided support to Uganda's development efforts for over 30 years through various programmes. The current programme- the Country Programme Action Plan (CPAP) 2006-2010, is a five-year framework born out of, and defining mutual cooperation between the Government of Uganda (GoU) and the UNDP. The CPAP was developed through an inclusive and participatory engagement between UNDP Uganda and the GoU, civil society, the private sector, academia and other stakeholders.
UNDP Uganda has identified three key priority areas in the CPAP:
- Poverty Reduction
- Democratic Governance
- Crisis prevention and recovery
