The Spokesperson of the National CHOGM task force and 27 others have left for South Africa. The South African Government is to foot all expenses pertaining to the training. The training is aimed at those in charge of organizing the forthcoming commonwealth heads of government meeting due in November this year in Kampala.
South Africa has not only hosted CHOGM before but also various international meetings thus making it a suitable and preferred place to extend training services to Uganda in the field of international events.
Other areas that the two countries will share include Security, Airport Traffic Management & Media skills.Uganda seems to be on course with 12 weeks to the big Event.
